Too expensive. I wasn’t listened to — I got the haircut the owner wanted for me – not the haircut I asked for.

Followed Eric to his new spot on Federal Highway. I know, it took me a few tries to find it, but oh god, it’s worth it. I’ve never had anyone spend as much time and attention on my short hair. Put yourself in Eric’s hands. He knows what he’s doing. Every time I let him do his own thing, I get compliment after compliment.
It’s a cool spot, friendly people, talented, smart and artistic. It costs the same as my Manhattan haircuts, but they were never as good.

I like my hair to be straight when I have it blown out but I can’t tell you how many stylist add waves, movement and body to it regardless of what I say. Jess actually listened and gave me one of the best blow outs I’ve ever had which lasted almost a week. Wish I could go every week!

Tried Salon Resta from the great reviews. They did not disappoint. I have curly hair and they listened to me and made an appoint with Liz who also has curly hair.
She did not rush through and we discussed my options beforehand. I love the highlights she suggested and the cut goes with the curls. She is very much into an organic look.
This place is young and eclectic. There is art and guitars hanging on the walls and everyone is welcoming and friendly. I, being of a certain age, wanted that kind of atmosphere. This is no old lady salon. Will definitely return with Liz.

The atmosphere is super stylish, eclectic and comfortable. I love my stylist Jamie to death! The café next door is perfect for coffee or wine while my color processed. I truly appreciate the personalized service I get here thank you!

I had recently moved to Delray Beach from Kansas, where I had the same hairdresser for several years. It’s so hard to find someone you like! I actually found Salon Resta via Angie’s List (why did I pay for that service?). It was close to home when I didn’t know how to get anywhere and seemed to fit the bill.
Salon Resta is attached to The Beat Cup Café, and they usually give me a coupon for a free coffee or tea when I get a haircut. Nice perk (no pun intended)! I have been going there for more than a year now and my only complaint is probably the price. But this Kansas girl can always complain about price in South Florida.
I have been going to Caitlin since day one and don’t have a complaint about her. She’s from Chicago, so we have a great Midwest connection. If she is ever running late, the salon will call me to let me know, which is so nice!
Salon Resta also offers free bang trims in between, which is great. I’m growing my hair out but not my bangs, so I really appreciate this service. I highly recommend Resta and especially Caitlin.

The hours they’re open are random.
I’ve been there on a Saturday afternoon and they were closed.
Insanely over priced with a receptionist who clearly doesn’t want to be bothered with clients.
For less than what they charge here. you can go to a high end, luxury salon and be treated with respect.

Love this place. It’s not just a salon, it’s an event. There is art, music, coffee bar and food… Much more CA then Fl. Try it. You’ll love it !

I have been to Salon Resta twice now and both times have walked out feeling incredible. In August, I first visited to make a major cut and donate almost 12 inches of hair to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program. Everyone at Resta was extremely nice and helped me choose the perfect short ‘do. Instead of feeling anxious about getting rid of all my hair they turned it into a really exciting experience.
Now almost 8 months later, I was ready for something new. I went in for a color and cut with Laura. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, but she took her time to talk me through some options and why some of them would or wouldn’t look good on me. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that from a stylist! We decided on honey color highlights blended through with a few balayage pieces in front. Laura took her time on my hair and we chatted throughout the process. I was confident it was going to look awesome… and it did. She then spruced up my cut with a slightly angled bob.
I am more than happy with my cut and color and will for sure be back to see Laura again. She’s gorgeous, down to Earth, has awesome hair and spent time to make sure I got the best look possible. I would absolutely recommend Resta for an amazing hair experience!

Cool vibe inconsistent hair

I have been going to Jamie for my hair cuts for years, and hopefully I will never have to go to another hairdresser. She is so amazing and intuitive with my hair! I have never received a bad hair cut from her.
She takes the time to speak to you, to find out what it is that you are looking for from your cut. She is so sweet and nice! I am very open to different cuts, and I have a tendency to be more rigid about the color, so I just give her some loose parameters (such as keep it long, thin it out, or make it short) and I give her free reign. Obviously we are in a trusting relationship-​I would NEVER allow another hair dresser free reign like that. She is really truly wonderful! I can’t sing enough praises for her!
As for the salon, it is such a cool hip place! There is art work everywhere for sale, and it is so super funky and wonderful! They have art openings and next door they have a café. The aromas that drift over to the salon just beckon you to go relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee and some delicious treats.
The salon is located in a strip mall, so parking is never an issue. I live kind of far from the salon (I live in East Fort Lauderdale, the salon is in Delray Beach) but the juice is worth the squeeze and I make the trek to Jamie, wherever the salon may be.
She has colored my hair for me as well, which is not something that she ordinarily does, and once again I am nothing but pleased by the results (and I am seriously picky about my hair color-​I like it wild at times, demure other times, and I change it a lot).
Resta is a great salon, and Jamie is top notch! I’d also like to give Lynn a shout out-I’ve seen her work and I am impressed! I definitely recommend!

I went to Resta because a co worker recommended Caitlin. Over all it turned out to be a good experience. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because
1)The first available appointment wasn’t for a week (I hate waiting)
2)The décor of the salon was EXTREMELY artsy (not my taste at all)
However I will definitely be be returning the next time I need my hair done because Caitlin was absolutely fantastic! I got color and highlights. My hair looks beautiful! She was fast, efficient and very personable. I would strongly recommend her if you are looking for a new hairdresser.

I hadn’t had my hair professionally cut in 5 years because I had a hard time finding someone that I felt I could trust since the last lady (in NY) botched my haircut the day before my college graduation! I have very thick and straight hair– not exactly as smooth as I wish. It was very long and down to my elbows after letting it grow out! So I decided 5 years is too long and I had been trimming my hair myself every month that my hair lacked shape and texture. Then I depended on Unilocal on finding a salon I’d be most comfortable with. There were a plethora of salons that had 4 – 5 stars, but most of them didn’t have consistent reviews or had very very short reviews explaining their reason why they liked the salon.
I actually had researched for a month and saw a couple of my Unilocal friends liked Resta. So I took their reviews seriously and decided to make an appointment with the master stylist & owner of Resta, Eric. I wasn’t going to let anyone other than the master stylist go near my hair due to my bad experience 5 years ago, lol. I’m sure the others are great, but I just had to ease in my nervousness by feeling assured that my hair was in the best hands at Resta.
My appointment was on Friday morning, the salon was already busy. The girl at the front desk was very sweet, and Eric was just finishing up a client and he smiled at me. Since I arrived maybe 10 minutes early, I sat down on the comfortable bench and I was mesmerized with the architecture and décor of the salon. It is NOT your typical salon where everything is stark white with fancy mirrors and lighting. Resta is a very artsy-​fartsy kind of place. It reminded me so much of a couple of my favorite artsy-​fartsy café hang outs in college in New York. There are paintings, drawings, sculptures on the walls. I felt so much at home because I am an artist myself, too.
Eric approached me and led me to his chair, he pulled up a stool beside me and asked me what I had wanted to do with my hair. I shared a couple of photos that I had on Pinterest on my phone and he looked at what I liked and what I did not want. He clarified what he would be doing and consulted with me in his opinion what would work best with my face shape and the texture of my hair. I had wanted to go shorter than my shoulders, but he explained to me in detail why it wouldn’t work with my hair type and the shape of my face.
He then brought me to the back room to get my hair washed by another sweet girl (I never got her name). She massaged my scalp soooo good that I felt like I was gonna fall asleep. haha
I went into the chair and let Eric work his magic. It must have taken about 2 hours from the washing to the finishing touches. I did not mind the long wait because from watching him work with my hair, I could tell he really takes pride in his own work. The finished result was exactly what I wanted! I LOVE it. I cannot stop looking at myself in the mirror ever since! LOVE my cut! I have uploaded my before and after photo so you can see why I am super happy with it!
Resta is definitely the place I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and relaxed place and awesome stylists!!!
P. S. The Beat Cup Café is right next door and I kept smelling the delicious lunch being made wafting into the Salon. I nearly went in after my appointment, but I had such a busy day planned! I will be stopping by The Beat Cup soon, for sure!

I live here in New York City with the best of the best at my finger tips. I go to Eric at Resta for the flyest hair style. I fly down to Delray Beach, FL to get my haircut. Yes, it sounds crazy, and maybe it is, but until your tresses have been touched by Eric, don’t judge me. :)
Eric is amazing and very much a perfectionist. I always feel like I should be in the next pantene commercial when he’s done with me. I also had an intense conditioning treatment which left my hair soft and SO shiny. The colorist (I forget her name) was amazing. She talked me out of gloss and into the conditioning treatment, and I can’t thank her enough. Thanks Resta! You make me feel beautiful. Xo
