We are a full service animal hospital and will take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Dr. Gary Edelson is experienced in all types of conditions and treatments. Beyond first rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-​friendly, and a very calm environment so your pet can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting his or her own Delray Beach veterinarian.

History

Established in 1980.

Imperial Point Animal Hospital of Delray was founded in 1980 as one of the first veterinary hospitals in Delray Beach, FL. It was sold to Gary Edelson, DVM on January 1, 2013 and has recently finished a complete renovation of the entire hospital including surgery, treatment and boarding/​grooming areas. It is equipped with a 400g salt water aquarium with over 25 fish.

Meet the Business Owner

Gary E.

Business Owner

General practitioner, Dr. Gary Edelson grew up in Holmdel, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Upon graduation, he attended veterinary school at St. George’s University, Grenada. In 2008, he completed his clinical year at University of Florida, School of Veterinary Medicine. During his veterinary education, the Pfizer Corporation recognized Dr. Edelson for his efforts in emergency medicine.

Dr. Edelson has special interests in dentistry, diabetes, dermatology and ophthalmology. Dr. Edelson has also authored numerous articles on canine and feline diabetes. He has been practicing general medicine and worked with a board certified veterinary dentist and boarded canine/​feline practitioner.

Dr. Edelson’s enjoyment comes from the surprises and challenges that arise each day. Whether he is calming a client’s anxieties, educating clients and breeders, treating a medical problem or seeing the friendly faces of clients and pets.
