Description

Specialties

St. Gregory’s Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten offers non-religious half-day preschool and junior kindergarten programs focused on academic play. The academic curriculum aligns with DPS 109 and includes structured music and enhanced learning with Apple iPads. Afternoon sessions still available for fall 2015 enrollment.

Morning and afternoon sessions are offered and students may attend 1 – 5 days a week. Our optional Lunch Bunch program extends the school session by 1 hour and is a time for AM and PM students to interact. It is also a nice transition for kindergartners coming from or going to their regular kindergarten.

Kindergarten students at Wilmot Elementary School are escorted by preschool staff from morning Kindergarten to St. Gregory’s and from St. Gregory’s to afternoon Kindergarten. We are on the DPS 109 bus route for students at other schools.

Our preschool director and teachers are highly qualified, holding masters degrees in early childhoold education.

History

Established in 2006.

St. Gregory’s Preschool was established in 2006 as a way for our parishioners to give back to the community we love. Our inclusive and nurturing environment blends academic progress with creativity, social and moral development, and play.

We developed our program based on sound principles of early-education, with the help of highly qualified teachers having years of experience in our community school districts and preschools. We adopted The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool program for our

preschoolers and designed a distinctive program for our junior kindergarten.

The talents of our parish clergy, staff and parishioners enhance the program with music, crafts, story time and other special activities. The result is a safe, fun-filled, and academically complete early education experience that is loved by children, appreciated by parents, and respected by local school teachers and administrators.
