Don’t know why, but just doesn’t seem that fresh. And the prices! Why so expensive? Every time I walk in this location, they are higher and higher. $ 10 for a mediocre sandwich and a cookie? No thanks. Not going here anymore.

Freaky slow… why does it take us twelve minutes for two standard order subs? There’s a reason why we never come here.

I don’t know what everyone is bitching about? Stayed in Deerfield for a week from New York City on Biz. Got delivery once to my Hotel and went in myself to the store once. Delivery was awesome, the guy must have got here within 15min of ordering online. Granted it was at 8:15pm, they close at 9:00pm. So they put a rush on that shit, cause the kids wanna go home. Now if some of you office workers have delivery time trouble during the afternoon, take a look around!!! Theres tons of business buildings in this area. Im sure lunch time is crazy for these guys. When I went into the store on another day, they workers are SUPER friendly! They all say HI soon as you walk in and make your sandwich quick. Now for the food… Well it is, what it is. Its a freaking sub. Wasn’t expecting anything to blow me away for $ 6.00!!! Could use a little more meat, but subway is the same way. want the extra meat? Pay for it. Also love the fact they will scoop some of the bread out if you want. Wished they did that in New York.

Ordered here twice in the past month. Each time it took 45+ min for one sandwich and a pickle. I’m never ordering from this location again.

This place is horrendous. Every single time I order from them it takes at least an hour. Which would be fine if they didn’t advertise as freaky fast. also, the store is about 6 minutes away from where i work so explain how the last time i ordered it took an hour and a half to get to me. also — one time i ordered, one of the delivery guys was running around my office building screaming my name… caused a huge scene. I’m pretty sure the guy was on drugs. this is the worst jimmy johns ever you would be better off getting in your car driving somewhere and picking something up than ordering from them.

Jimmy John’s like any franchise is predictable. The sandwiches always taste the same and that’s what I like about it. I think their sandwiches are reasonably priced with good quality breads and deli meats. Every time I have gone in, they are prompt and courteous. I like that they also deliver.

This store is not freaky fast when ever I order from here it always takes 45 minutes or more. I guess I’ll have to start going elsewhere

I’m getting real sick and tired of you jimmy johns. I order an unwhich(no bread) and its 7.50. The guy comes and I hand him a $ 20. He comments that«oh I don’t have change I just have 3 singles». He gives me a look like ‘are you gonna pay me or what’ and I take the 3 dollars in change with a groan. This is NOT the first time this has happened. Guy left with a big tip. I’m pissed and will be taking my money elsewhere from now on.

freaky fast? only if you consider an hour fast… this shop definitely does not live up to the freaky fast title. what’s worse is their drivers are maniacs too so I don’t know what takes them so long to deliver sandwiches. this last time was the 3rd time we’ve ordered where it’s taken over an hour to get our sandwich. at least this time I called and was able to cancel the order, it’s absolutely ridiculous that it takes an hour to get a sandwich from JJ’s. I called and the guy says«oh it’s right here being made right now! it’ll be there soon!» ok, how about no? that’s just code for oh, we’ll make it right now then send it out. well, too late! and thanks a lot for making me write a Unilocal review about a freakin chain restaurant!

One reason I love Jimmy John’s is the smell of fresh bread when you walk in the door! And that’s just is what happened when I walked in the door a few minutes ago with my 2 little kids for lunch. Everyone was extremely friendly and the food was very fresh. My kids split a slim turkey and I had a turkey tom and then the 3 of us shared a pickle. Everything was great! However an unexpected surprised for us was being able to see the trains go by as you eat lunch. And to a 3 year this makes this the best place ever for lunch! The only downfall is the restrooms are in the train station and were really dirty(which isn’t under Jimmy John’s control)

Not a fan. The food quality is not good. There are so many good sandwich options around this is area but this is not one of them. I will pass and go elsewhere.

Like the bread here and the spices but can’t believe they get away with adding so little deli meat per sandwich! The Vito gets just enough protein to give me the aftertaste of salami and not a bit more.

We were so disappointed with the service at this location it actually made me write this review. They couldn’t get our order right. Asked for a cut pickle got a whole one. Asked for the vinegar and oil on the side and the staff would not do it despite us asking directly for it. My wife had to bring her whole sandwich back up to the counter so that the worker poured on as much as they wanted instead of my wife. The manager was so rude and was on some kind of power trip… «It’s our policy.» Was her mantra. Then we asked to get the owners contact info and she outright refused with a sneer on her face. I strongly STRONGLY encourage people to not go to this location. I have never had such rude service at any other Jimmy Johns.

I should have read the reviews on this location before ordering from here for delivery. This location doesn’t seem to have consistent service. I ordered a billy club with hot peppers for delivery. The girl who was taking my order asked if I wanted hot peppers, and I said sure why not. I know that she put hot peppers in my order because«hot peppers $ 0.50» is on my receipt. When I took a bite out of the sandwich, I could tell there weren’t any hot peppers in it. Of course, I was so hungry that I just ate the whole thing and then called the store to ask what they could do for me. At first they were going to deliver some hot peppers to my house, but that doesn’t make sense since I already ate my sandwich. Then they decided that they would credit me the $ 0.50. And I heard this whole conversation on the phone because they didn’t put me on hold. That’s bad phone etiquette right there. I mean I had heard when I was ordering that they were training some people, but the employees who were training the new workers should have known better. I met a Jimmy John’s rep because she came to my graphic design class to talk about their social media presence. I know how understanding Jimmy John’s is when they make mistakes. When they make mistakes, they give their customers a free sub. And this was definitely a mistake on their part, but all I got from this location was a credit that I will probably end up forgetting about. I don’t eat Jimmy John’s too often. The 2 times I have eaten Jimmy John’s in the past in this area was at the Glenview location(Pfingsten and Willow). I never got anything delivered from that store, but the two sandwiches that I ordered in store were great. Exactly what I would expect from Jimmy John’s. The rude behavior from this location’s staff was not what I was expecting. I guess I’ll just stick with the Glenview location. The Lake Cook Rd. location doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing. I mean even their receipts are messed up. They don’t know how to spell Pfingsten even know they’re located right by the intersection of Pfingsten and Lake Cook. And their receipt says they’re located on Lake Rd instead of Lake Cook Rd. Anyways don’t go to this location unless you really have no other choice. What they should have done was pass the phone to the manager. I know it’s only $ 0.50, but lately major stores have been doing their math wrong and charging me more than what I actually owe, so I guess that’s why I’m more ticked off about only getting a credit and listening to the employees talking about me and what to do. I’ve never had problems with Jimmy John’s in the past, but this location is ridiculous.

I asked them to break a $ 100 so that I could pay for me meal, and I quote, «We’re not a bank, we’re not allowed to send our drivers with that amount of money.» Are you fucking kidding me Jimmy John’s? You cheap bastards, I hope you all die in a grease fire!

Everyone is really nice there. When there is a long line, they get your sandwich started so by the time you get to the cashier, your sandwich is ready. They do what they can to make you happy and idk her name, but there is one girl working there with short hair that is always great and friendly… have her make your sandwich!!!

What the heck Jimmy John’s! Did you really think I wouldn’t notice the day old guacamole and lettuce? Well — obviously that’s what you thought since you guys know I always take my sandwich back to the office. Come on now — It’s 11:30am! Get the fresh stuff out on the line. I’ve been a loyal customer for a couple of years now and I am just reeeeeally dissapointed with this sandwich. Not dissapointed enough to call and complain because that’s not my style, but still…(*wiping tear with back of right hand*) I thought we were friends.

We ordered these at work and I’m glad that I didn’t pay for such a mediocre sandwich. Someone warned me that JJ’s was worse than Subway and he was right. It’s shocking that they call their sandwiches gourmet. * Turkey Tom: 8 inch homemade French bread(bread was very pale and flavorless), sprouts, an extremely thin layer of turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. The ratios were off, so it tasted like a lettuce & sprout sandwich on bad bread. The only plus about JJ’s is that you can customize everything to a ridiculous degree, e.g., have your sandwich wrapped in lettuce w/o bread(the«unwich»), have your bread hollowed out, add freebies like onion, cucumber, oil & vinegar, etc. When you order a pickle, they even ask how you want it cut. Also, they deliver.

Like any jimmy johns, it pretty much«is what it is». That sounds extremely vague, and it is. The thing is, their vegetarian sandwiches are really good… get it with spicy mustard instead of mayo and its really good. I’m not an enormous vegetarian fan but this definitely got me into it. On rare occasions they do screw up the large orders we make, but it typically does okay. Extremely fast preparation time prior to departure for delivery though, which is a big deal. Overall, since our work probably orders 25 – 100 sandwiches a day between all our departments various tastes per day, I’d say that everyone has been pretty consistently satisfied. Also, it beats subways«what do you want on your sub which is designed to fall apart?» subs bigtime.

One of my co-workers likes to eat here. He can put away a sandwich or two like it’s nobody’s business. He’s not obese or anything, but reminds me of a hungry-hungry hippo and is a pro at talking while chewing. He doesn’t drop a crumb. Jimmy John’s serves up a simple and consistently good sandwich. From Jimmy John’s, I like the #2 and #9, the Big John and Hunter’s Club respectively, with no mayo. The #2 is the smaller of the two roast beef offerings. When I was in college, I even bought a Jimmy John’s polo style shirt with the collar like the ones the restaurant managers wear. I bought it from the manager at the local JJ’s. Yeah, I’m a geek.
