Good service. First visit on a Sat night and lucky to get a high top table as soon as we walked in. Had the smoked trout dip with nacho chips, not very good. I was totally disappointed because they had JUST sold out the short ribs(ONLY thing I wanted on the menu as I am very picky) to the point of just wanting to pay for our appetizer and leave. Was starving though and mgr talked me into the bison pot roast, which was really good, but not what I wanted. Hubby had the beef Domenico Ribeye, excellent, well seasoned. I ordered the Ted Margarita, way too sour for my taste, but then I am not a margarita drinker. Will give Ted’s another try just to get my short ribs :-)

Excellent service! In the past when I’ve had bison it was dry, but that was definitely not the case at Ted’s Montana Grill! Delicious, moist, and tender! Haven’t had anything there that I didn’t enjoy much more than I expected.

This is the second Ted’s I visited during my stay in Atlanta. It is located in Decatur. It isn’t as nice as the original location, however the service was much better. Although we were present during a peak period, our party was served our appetizers promptly and our drinks were quickly refilled without asking for them. This time around I ended up getting the loaded nachos as an appetizer. Our group loved it. Next we got our entrees. I got the meatloaf with potatoes and Mac n cheese. I didn’t like the meatloaf at all because I felt it was too strong on the Rosemary. However they were quick to suggest a substitute and I was given pot roast instead. The pot roast was very enjoyable. However the real star of the meal was the Mac and Cheese. This Mac and cheese was different from others I have had before because the sauce was a lot more runny. It was still good, however it seemed to be more buttery than cheesy. Not complaining about it, because it was fantastic. I want to give a shoutout to the Friday night crew from providing such great service here. I will be sure to come back here again.

The first time i tried their bison, i was totally amazed. Now i still think bison is excellent, but just not supreme. So i will give it 4stars. Their bison is very juicy and tender. The seasoning is wonderful too. I don’t usually fond of steak. Their bison is one of the few which I would miss I didn’t have for a while. I am vey satisfied by the quality of the meat. Their seafood dish is also not bad. The only things I won’t recommend are fries and onion rings. I don’t understand why they can’t do a better job on such common foods. All in all, i like this restaurant and willing to drive almost an hour for it.

Staff is super-friendly, food is excellent. The GM even came by to check on our party, make sure everything was good. I have been very pleased every time I have been there(10 – 12 times).

Bland food. Onion rings are Tasteless and battered in what might be wallpaper paste. Pickles are ok. We’ve been several times, wanting to like it, but always leave disappointed and lighter in the wallet more than I liked. Did I mention BLAND.

We had a large group with us and as soon as we were seated we had fantastic service. Most of the people in my group got a bison burger. I chose the short ribs with carrots and broccoli. The portion was just right. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The others enjoyed the burgers and had no complaints at all. Our server MJ was a sweetheart. He was friendly and great about making sure we had drinks and anything else requested. There were several younger patrons in the place which indicates to me they are reaching out to all groups.

I visited the Resturant to celebrate a friends going away dinner back to Puerto Rico & the manager called the police due to an regular customer stayed we were too loud. We had an group of 20 people at the table & an raciest person stayed we were loud. 20 people voices will carry. The manager was very unprofessional by not speaking to us first. The police arrived & it was embarrassing & unnecessary. I will never visit this place again. By the way all professionals were at the table, postal managers, doctors. Attorney etc. As we were leaving, other patrons stated they wish we were in their party. Smh.

When I walked in, I was very surprised to find that my husband and I were the only people in the restaurant. It was 3 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Normally, whenever you are the only one, that is an ominous sign. I ordered the Big Sky Grilled Salmon salad. This was the best salad I’ve eaten, and I’ve tried a lot of salads. The salmon was cooked to perfection. I ordered the ranch BLT salad dressing. The other toppings on the salad were avocado, eggs, bacon, tomatoes, and onions. This salad was so good that I ordered a similar salad at another restaurant hoping to have a salad that tasted this great, ad I was gravely disappointed. I love Ted’s because everything always taste fresh. I love the way the booths are set up as well. They are almost private, and it makes dinner conversation easier with fewer distractions. The service was great, but as I said we were literally the only customer for 40 minutes.

Sunshine and I were heading somewhere else tonight but they were super crowded so I’ve always wanted to try Teds so we went in. Haven’t had a bison burger in more than a year and Teds just reminded me HOWGOOOOOODTHEYARE… man o man. Thanks to Molly the waitress for being attentive but not over bearing, it was all great and on my «Greater in Decatur» list.

I went here with a few friends for happy hour. Eh. Rude waitstaff, even though we ordered food and drinks and tipped well. The food was totally fine but nothing worth going back for. The happy hour cocktails were not that cheap($ 7 margarita) and were entirely standard. The beer list for happy hour says«select drafts» but there was only one. If it had been cheaper or had a nicer staff, would’ve been three stars for a totally adequate experience. As it is, I wouldn’t go back unless I was with a bunch of people who REALLY wanted to.

Ted’s is one of the many restaurants that keep me coming back to Decatur. Why? Because the bison burgers are delicious. Moist and flavorful, not only do the bison patties taste just as good as some of the better beef patties I have had, but they are also supposedly better for you. I had the Avalon, which came with caramelized onions, blue cheese, garlic, and bacon. Other than that, there wasn’t anything too special about the burger. However, the sweet potato side, served with butter and cinnamon, was excellent. The dish was $ 16 — a little bit on the expensive side for a burger. Our waitress was attentive and accommodating for the most part. And I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, but most of them were pretty attractive too. I’d recommend Ted’s to anyone who happens to be around the Decatur area.

As others have said, Ted’s is a chain. However, this is my local Ted’s, so I’m partial to it. Ted’s has one of the best burger selections in Atlanta. Now consider that you can get any burger with much leaner/tastier bison meat, and this restaurant is a slam dunk. If you’re feeling daring, get the Kitchen Sink burger. If you’re environmentally conscious, Ted’s makes every attempt to care for the environment. Their straws are made of recycled paper, and their bathrooms use low flow toilets. As for the Decatur location, it is extremely close(less than 2 blocks) from the free parking at the Decatur Marta station.

I have been to Ted’s Montana Grill twice. I had a disappointing experience at a Lithonia steakhouse near Stonecrest and decided to broaden my horizon. First, the restaurant has a relaxed environment. The servers were polite and professional. The waitress offered a sample of the bison burger. My first visit, I had the crabcake and Coke ice cream float. My second visit, I had the ribeye. My food was delicious. I was impressed with the service. Only problem is the food took about 30 minutes!!! I look forward to my next visit.

This is a nice location of this chain. Now remember… it is a chain, so if you have been to one, you have been to them all(respective to food offerings). However, the atmosphere in Decatur is unbeatable. The staff are very friendly, and the location is easy to walk to or park nearby.

I waited 30 minutes here for a buffalo burger. Thirty minutes… Probably the longest wait I have ever had for a burger. I am not sure if it is because they messed my order, but the wait was very unbearable. I do have to admit though the buffalo burgers here are succulent, and the fries are crisp. If you are willing to wait, come here. If you are in a hurry, try the diner across the street. Also, on the plus side, the waiter here was very friendly, and you honestly feel like you are sitting at the bar in the television show, Cheers.

Shopping in downtown Decatur with a hungry belly is not TRESCHIC whatsoever, so the husband and I went in for a bit at Ted’s. Here is our experience: The waiter was very insightful, honest, and helpful! Just moving to the Atlanta area, we need as much GOSSIP about the city as possible. Because of him, we dodged a HUGE bullet by NOT moving to Clarkston. j/s. I tried the red beans and rice«stew» and the husband has the bison chili. YUMMOE tp both! We even enjoyed the pickles(or whatever they are) on the table as an accompaniment/snack food. I ordered the beef filet. it was tasty, but a bit bland. The husband got the bison filet. I can definitely say that bison is not my type of meat. The atmosphere was nice in the restaurant. :)
