Decatur Glassblowing

My husband and I took a beginning glass blowing class with John. It was a 90 minute class, and we made glass ornaments (although there are other projects you can make in this class).
It was wonderful! John explained everything to us, demonstrated the process, then coached us through creating our own pieces. He was there to do all the dangerous stuff and make sure we had a cool piece of art at the end.
My husband and I did this as a «date» just to spend some time together doing something fun. I highly recommend taking this class if you want to learn about the art and have something to remember the event by.
We will be back to do this again with friends and family.
WARNING: you must pay attention and follow directions! I would NOT recommend having dinner with drinks before taking this class. Save it for after. But you will get a little dirty.

An amazing place to swing by to pick up a last minute or well planned timely gift. Such a good time to even just watch the artist at work. I really want all my glasses, cups and tumblers to be from here and over time this will be the case. I want their whole inventory.
