The Ocean Shore Resort is a limited service, economy class 115 room hotel located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Our hotel is centrally located in Daytona Beach, close to shopping, restaurants, nightclubs, and the Ocean Center (convention center). Front staff was nice but the place is just so old and not updated. Could not even open the back door to the outside patio. Door was rusted shut. Holes in comforter and curtain. Mildew on light fixture. Phone did not work. Had internet password but the Internet did not work. Smelled old and musty. Nice view of the beach. I would not stay again.

It’s too bad you can’t give a review with no stars, this place doesn’t merit any. They advertise wifi, yet there isn’t any. Only had one light fixture that worked. The other lamp MIGHT have worked if it had any bulbs in it. No chairs on the balcony and the door to get out require Herculean strength to open it. AVOID this place at all cost. Only upside is it is on the beach. If you can get past the lack of amenities ie, light, cleanliness and a functioning A/​C unit, might not be a bad place to go. I won’t return, that’s for sure

Beware !!! Due yourselves a favor and check the property before you check in !!! You will run !!! Garbage everywhere, no heat no air conditioning. Views are nice but hotel is totally run down. Pool is out of commission for past two months. Ice machines are inoperable. You get the idea. Also becaus of $ 42 coupon book special this is a haven for every crackhead and prostitute in the city of Daytona. Don’t take my word for it walk around the property and see for yourselves ! Then you’ll run like hell .!!

This place smelled horrible like a sweaty gym locker/​urine. The bathroom was sooo disgusting with hair all over the «clean folded» towels. There was hair all over the floors/​sink/​shower like no one had cleaned it in weeks. We even found body hair in the sheets. I was really disappointed the balcony is not accessible and welded shut. There were hole all over the walls. The pictures are outdated and very misleading!
