We share family legacies…
One story at a time!
History
Established in 1922.
For more than 90 years, Reis Legacy Center Meyer-Boehmer Chapel has been helping families honor their loved ones and share their stories. Originally opened in 1922 on Washington St. in Dayton, the funeral home moved to 1733 Brown St. in 1947. Ed Reis began working at Meyer-Boehmer in 1988 as a licensed funeral director/embalmer. In 2007, Ed and his wife, Darinda became the sole owners of Meyer-Boehmer & Reis Funeral Home. As a result of their desire to provide families with a state of the art, comfortable funeral home with wonderful amenities to accommodate all services, Ed and Darinda opened Reis Legacy Center Meyer-Boehmer Chapel on Clyo Rd. in Centerville in 2012. They continue to honor the traditions of the Meyer and Boehmer families, while offering personalized tributes to celebrate the life lived.
Ed and Darinda live in Centerville with their four children, Nicholas, Adam, Marin and Sara.
