The Laundry Lounge

Great service! Not only are they friendly, there are always staff members there to assist you, and their extended hours are great too. I recently had them wash a horse blanket for me. When I picked it up, it was ready on time, nicely folded and very clean, and the price was quite reasonable. I am a very happy customer and would not hesitate to return.

This is where laundry gets done in Davis. Forget doing laundry at your apartment complex, where you may to have wait awhile to have an empty washer. And then what if you have 5 loads to do?! Just skip that whole process and go to The Laundry Lounge! I do a lot less lounging than I do laundering here, but they do have comfy couches and wi-​fi if you’re into that sort of thing. I prefer taking them up on their «transfer service» offer, where you start all your loads of laundry and they transfer them to the dryer for you. Then you just come back when your clothes are all dry (and in the meantime, you’ve grocery shopped or cleaned your house)…and wa-​laaa! It’s magical. Plus, they have a cute little system using magnetic Scrabble-​like tiles to denote which machines are yours.
Overall, the process is fast and easy and convenient, depending on the time you come, of course. Whether we come on the weekend or a weekday, we’ve usually been able to find open double load washers. You can theoretically fit two baskets-​full in one of these front-​load washers for just $ 2.75. There are also triple load washers for $ 6.50, but I think we’ve gotten the most bang for our buck with the double load ones.
As if it wasn’t already good enough, they have a coin machine! They will give you cash back using your card, so you can get quarters. We always take our extra quarters back home with us for those times in-​between visits to The Laundry Lounge where we absolutely must do a load at the apartment.
And then they’re so nice here that they even have a sink for you to wash your hands, complete with soap! So, you can have clean clothes AND clean hands. In the off-​chance that you’ve forgotten detergent or dryer sheets, they have some available for purchase! And if you like dancing while you do your laundry, they usually have some rockin’ music playing!
So, gather up those baskets of dirty laundry you’ve got, and head on over!

I don’t think I’ve ever truly enjoyed a laundromat experience (who likes doing laundry???), but I actually adored The Laundry Lounge! The person who was working there was named Josephine, and they were absolutely phenomenal!!! Went way out of their way to assist me in a bunch of small requests I had, and was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Driving from Santa Cruz to woodland, my 5 yr old got sick. It wasn’t long before she started throwing up, fortunately most of it got into a garbage bag we had on hand. But then… my teenage son handed off the bag to my wife in the front seat and the horror began. Somehow the bag came loose and vomit was thrust around EVERYWHERE! On the carpet, on our clothes, in our hair, everywhere!
After our nights stay in woodland (check back later for my review of the Hampton inn in Woodland) I headed out to find a laundromat. The closest ones (in town) looked great for scoring weed (one Unilocal review even posted the times the dealer was usually there), so I decided to expand my search and came across this little ditty in Davis. It’s clean, pleasant, and has a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. It’s a college town, so I’m sure they’ve seen their share of vomit on clothing. I saw my share of «shame walking» while sitting across from the local apartments, but the whole experience was quite nice I must admit. I would definitely do my business here again!

This has become my laundry mat of choice for over a year now I like it a lot. The prices are good it’s located by some great places to eat and the people that come hear are all nice. They have new machines and a staff that is supper friendly and helpful. On days that I don’t have time to do my laundry they well do it for me I can drop it off and come back later to it all clean and folded nice.

I have been to the laundry lounge several times and have found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. They have some HUGE washers to clean big items or do extra large loads. Lots of seating and little tables so you can work/​relax. One area they need to improve on is sweeping the floors. If u accidentally drop a piece of laundry when unloading the dryer it’s usually covered in lint and hair. Otherwise, it’s a good place (and only laundromat in Davis right now) to do laundry.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt strongly that this place needed one. To start off, this place is ridiculously expensive. I’ve been to many other laundry mats who don’t charge 2.75-$ 6 for a load. I know this is the only laundry mat in Davis, but I really wish someone else would open another one. One much better than this dump. This place is disgusting. It is never ever clean. The floors are full of lint and hair and look like they never get swept. The machines are so dirty and grimy and always still have left over soap in them that has accumulated and turned into a gross dew. I come here to clean my clothes and I leave feeling like I need to wash my clothes all over again because this place is so gross feeling. In addition, they put these little magnets on the machines that signify that the employees are doing those loads and i notice when clothes have finished drying they just sit there for hours. I have done laundry here so often and for many hours at a time that I see they go unattended. There have been times that all the dryers are full and I need to dry my clothes, but several machines are full because the employees are too busy talking to take out the dried clothes. Lastly, there are always several machines broken. This is unacceptable. I really wish this place would be looked at by some sort of business bureau because this place is so neglected by its owners who know that just because they are the only laundry mat in Davis and people don’t have any other options they will still come here, but I can’t emphasize enough how disgusting this place is and I hate doing laundry here.

Relatively clean and large. The small washers are $ 2.50 for a 35 min wash or large load washer for $ 3.50.
Dryers are 25 cents/​6 min.
They also have large commercial washers for $ 2,75.

I can’t say I’ve been to very many laundromats in my lifetime but if I had to pick my favorite one the Laundry Lounge is it hands down!
This place actually makes me excited about doing laundry (you can laugh). So basically where I’m living this year has a shameful laundry room. Luckily, I have the Laundry Lounge close by and it’s most definitely worth bringing my stuff here instead.
Why you ask?
There’s lots of seating including comfy couches, high tables, etc. There’s several outlets along the walls (one by each table to be specific), free FAST wi-​fi which I love, and they also sell all the laundry supplies you need in case you forgot to bring your own! I’ve always had the friendliest employees who check up on me to make sure I’m alright. The place is COLORFUL which makes doing laundry a cheery experience instead of a boring one! Also, unlike my complex, you can drop-​off your laundry and have no fear about leaving it unattended. Even better, they will move over your laundry for FREE!
At the counter you will find a coin machine in case you need quarters, helpful laundry tips and a suggestion box. They really care about making the Laundry Lounge the best experience possible!
Notes: They have different types of washers that range from $ 2.50-$ 3.50 a load. This time I used their biggest washer for my comforter, sheets, etc. that was $ 6.50 a load and fits five loads of laundry. Dryers cost 25 cents for 6 minutes.

This place is great! It is clean and convenient. They have industrial size laundry machines so you can wash large blankets or quilts if you own machine can’t fit such big items.
I though the set up was really nice where they had a little lounge area for you to wait. In case you want to use internet, it is available also.
If you forget your laundry detergent or bag, you can easily buy it there.

I think some of the reviews may have hyped this place up, though I still had a good experience overall!
I came here on a Sunday afternoon, with a need to do my laundry since I didn’t have a laundry card for my apartment complex. Walking in, I was a bit overwhelmed by all of the machines, I was expecting a sign to show what to do. Eventually, I found my way to the counter, which is located in the far back on the left side. The store attendant was very nice and helped me with some single use detergent. For two loads, I ended up only spending $ 2 in detergents and dryer sheets.
I do have to say that the top loader washers cost $ 2 per wash, which is a bit pricy. The dryers cost 25 cents per 6 minutes. I put my full load in for about 48 minutes and my clothes were still wet. Better pay up for dry clothes!
The interior was chill and bright. They played indie music on the PA speakers and they sold a variety of items (tennis balls!!!). The new hours are pretty awesome and I’ll most likely be using their services again since it’s convient.
Overall, it’s OK. It’s a nicer laundromat than what I’m used to in the bay. It’s a bit overpriced, but you don’t have many options if you can’t use your apartment’s laundry room!

Ok, so this place is pretty awesome. Free Wi-​Fi, a collection of drinks you can buy, they basically meet all your laundry needs.
Now, the frustrating part. Every time I come in here, there always seems to be between 15 to 20 broken machines. Are these ever going to get fixed? I’m here right now, there and there are 7 broken dryers and 1 that doesn’t run on high. Out of 28, that’s over 25% of their dryers. A triple load machine has been broken which feels like for months.
This place is packed every time I come so I know they are making money. So why isn’t it being spent on repairs?
I will be happy to move this to 5 stars the day I come in and all machines are working. Heck, I’ll take 95% at this point. But I’m getting sick and tired of having to cram things into washers and dryers because there are hardly any available. Yet, there are broken ones to be seen everywhere.

I’ve been hitting up laundry mats since I was 9 years old, helping my single (at the time) dad with chores. I think this place is the best functioning laundromat I’ve ever experienced. (I’ve experience a lot! From coast to coast)
1. Machines that actually work.
2. Fast wash time (30mins, seems less)
3. Drying by increments of 6mins equals you control your dry time. Not the lame full 1hr, I usually spend 75cents on a load so it makes up for the higher price on wash.
4. I can walk around the plaza, sit and read or do anything and time seems to pass by quickly.
5. Parking, coin changer, transfer carts, actual attendants on site, multiple other services.
I hate doing laundry but this place is worth 2hrs or so out of my week to be at.

I come to this place few times a year to wash my comforter! This place is great. I mean what other laundry mat has wifi with couches and study tables? I definitely did not grow up with all this! Anywho, staff is super helpful! If the washer machine you want is taken up they let you use a bigger one and prorate it to what you would be paying initially!
This place does sell single use detergent, fabric softener, and bleach. It’s a little over priced so don’t forget your stuff!
If you don’t have time to do your laundry they do provide services to wash it for you!

Great place. Attendants are knowledgeable and helpful. Gave great advice on washing a down comforter and they have a free transfer service — washer to dryer. Good thing it’s such a well-​run place, because it’s the only game in town!

and a hip sorta swanky place to do laundry not like the creepy noisy dirty places of my youth. I am now in no rush to buy a washer and dryer for my house because I like it here so much. My boyfriend and I make it a «laundry Date» and play games and have lunch while we spend the two hours doing laundry there together!

Why 5 stars? Because this place is amazing
We are visiting from San Diego and use only cloth diapers we’ve never used disposables so traveling takes a little research. Before coming up here my husband found the laundry lounge and contacted them to make sure we’d be able to wash our diapers here
Not only did we find out we’d be able to but also was offered the wash and fold service so that I didn’t have to hang out at a laundry mat for 3 hours out of my day
After arriving and reading Unilocal reviews I found the option of pick up and delivery and called regarding it. Was told that not only would they pick up and deliver but they’d do same day pick up and delivery. PERFECT!
So this morning I called, they picked up my diapers, washing instructions and laundry detergent (we use special detergent), and this evening I received back all my diapers folded beautifully and clean!

I get my laundry done here, and it’s great every time! The first time you go, you buy a huge reusable bag ($ 9, holds over 5 loads) and you fill it, tie it, drop it off, and voila, DONE. You can also do free pick-​up and delivery! They fold your clothes in half, bleach your whites, fabric softener, whatever you ask for. Flat fee of $ 20 every time. I’m never doing my laundry again! Just be warned that the bag has to close and TIE, otherwise they charge you $ 5 extra.
***Since I wrote this review, they raised their prices $ 5 (so now $ 25 a bag, yow!) and they lost all of my roommate’s denim items. Like all of her jeans, her shorts, everything. There’s a place downtown that does it more cheaply and hasn’t lost anything of mine yet!

This place costs more to do laundry than my apartment complex but the washers and dryer come in big, bigger, and jumbo. It makes it super convenient if your load of laundry is huge. Plus is has free wi-​fi and comfortable seating just in case you want to stay and wait for your laundry to finish. But you don’t need to because the workers can transfer your clothes from the washer to dryer for free. Of course you still need to pay for the cost to dry your clothes.
The employees and owner are really nice and helpful. If you have any questions or need help with the machines don’t hesitate to ask. The best part is that this laundromat is clean.
