I’ve been here twice in the past 4 months. The first time was to get my white shirt bleached and the second was to sew a section (wrist) on my sweater blazer on each side (left and right).
The first time, my white shirt wasn’t as bright as it was and there was some deodorant stains. He did an excellent job of making the shirt white again. Although the deodorant stains were still there, it was understandable. It was super pricey though. He nearly charged me $ 7 to bleach a shirt. Normally I wouldn’t pay the service and go elsewhere, but the shirt had sentimental value and the store was close by to my home.
The second time, I went in and asked how much it would cost to sew my sweater blazer because the fabric around the wrist was ripping apart. On one side it was bad, but the other side was hardly noticeable. The tear on the bad side was no more than an inch and a half. Although the material was thick and most likely needed to be sewed a few times to keep it in tact, I don’t think it’s worth $ 15. I just gave it to him to fix and he said I can pick it up on Thursday (today is Tuesday), which was fine by me. I’m sure the sew will be excellent, but I don’t think it justifies the cost.
I understand it’s a small, local business, but it’s super pricey. If you have the convenience to go elsewhere, I would for the price. Although the service is great!

My wife had her wedding dresses ironed at this store recently. They gave a discount to us which makes the price affordable given we are just low-​income graduate students. The male staff is very nice and friendly. He not only ironed the dresses but also fixed some small broken parts. Overall, he did a good job and made the dresses look brand-​new. Thanks for the great service! Our wedding is very successful and my wife looks very beautiful during the wedding ceremony with the dresses.

Was one of my first times here, was dropping off two very expensive sweaters to get dry cleaned. The guy that work there took down my information, realized it was my first time there and gave me a 10% off for being a first time customer. I thought that was pretty awesome of him.
Hey have great customer service, they’re polite and helpful. When I came to pick my dry cleaning I told him, he had spelt my first and last name wrong, he apologized and corrected it right away. After I paid for everything, he helped me bring down the dry clean items and handled them to me. Smiled at me and wished me a great beautiful afternoon. Loved the positive customer service experience and reliable work they do. Defiantly highly recommended.

Excellent service! I had three gowns that I wanted to cut short and hem for a trip in 2 days, which means I needed the job done in one day, not a easy request, but the job was done and to my satisfaction! Friendly staff, good reliable work. Highly recommend.

I ordered some pants online and it was a bit long, so I came here to get it hemmed. The guy working here told me that he can get it done in a week. I told him that it was kind of an emergency and I really need it done in two days for work; he was really nice about it and said he can. Two days later, I came back for pickup, they got it done on time.

RELIABLE: I’ve been going to Davis Cleaners for three years now and I’ve always had a positive experience. It’s located in a strip mall that needed a face-​lift like 10 years ago. But don’t be deterred, because this place is great! They are affordable and dependable. I always leave with perfectly pressed fresh dry-​cleaned clothes. They are also great about making sure to check and ask for stains, and they are honest about whether they will be able to get them out.
ALTERATIONS: Even though I now live in Sac, I still plan to come back to this place if I need stuff altered. It can be tough to trust the person that is going to cut and sew your clothes, because if there’s a mistake, it can be unfixable. My bf had an experience at another cleaner where his slacks turned into flood pants — not his style! But here, they never let me down. Recently, I was going out of town and needed jeans hemmed by the next day. Not only did they give me a fast turnaround, but they did not charge me extra. Thumbs up Davis Cleaners!
