Horrible service since I got my screen replaced 2 months a go and now the screen unstick on the edges.

I managed to completely disintegrate an IPhone 6 screen. For essentially the same price as an Apple replacement screen (think shipping hassles, no phone, etc) I decided to stop in. The staff were efficient and business-​like. They told me to come back in an hour. I came back in an hour. The repair was completed, and I was on my way. I would definitely return.

Maybe I am just the unlucky one, but here’s my experience:
First, the store should change its name to «iFix electronics but iSometimesWillBreakOtherPartsOfItToo.»
Something similar to Devon C.‘s experience just happened to me.
My iPhone’s screen was sort of loose so I brought it to this place. The staff told me that the plastic support was broken, but he could fix it by using glue (sounds really weird, but my phone is more than two years old so I gave it a try), and I could pick it up 2 hours later.
When I came back to pick up my phone, the same staff told me that although the screen is now «fixed», the top corner of the screen is a little bit «brighter».
When I took a closer look at it, inside of top right corner of the screen is clearly shattered. I asked him what happened to it, and his response was «I don’t know» while looking at a laptop in his hands with a «sh*t-happens and I-don’t-give-a f**k» look.
I did not say anything more because I didn’t expect he would give me any compensation. So, I paid the $ 25, left the store, went home, and made this review with an iPhone that has a «brighter» corner.
On the bright side, the screen is not loose more! Hooray!

Excellent place for computer service; I’m going back because they did such a great job!

Nicest and most professional guys I’ve dealt with in a long time. They diagnosed a problem they could not fix with my I-​Mac and did not charge anything saying «if we can’t fix it, we’re not going to charge you»… this despite my offer to pay for their time. They’re obviously in it for the long haul and work hard to get and maintain their customers.
I highly recommend IFix Electronics for their integrity and amazingly fast service.

Worst experience ever! My sisters screen broke, so we brought it in. The owners said he’d fix it and we asked, if anything was wrong with it we could have a refund or you’d fix the problem within 30 days. He said yes. The screen didn’t work 3 days later. We go in and he says that it’s not under their warranty so he won’t do anything. He the proceed to say he wouldn’t do anything because it’d dip into his profits. I told him I was displeased and that I would write a bad Unilocal review and he said doesn’t matter. I give discounts to ppl for good reviews. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!

WARNING Davis peeps! Do NOT go to iFix Electronics downtown. They «fixed» my screen, but I had issues with it not even a three days after & they wouldn’t fix it. Originally, before I gave my phone to the to fix, they had told me I would be under warranty for 30 days. Now they say they don’t cover the issue on my phone, even though it was only a week later and I hadn’t experienced these problems before I brought it in. Arrogant guy also said «it must have been dropped.» Well no shit! That’s why I brought it in in the first place! He clarified and asked, «did you drop it after?» The answer: no. But this SOB said, «you must have or else it wouldn’t be doing this.» How dare he tell me I dropped my phone! I didn’t experience the problems before, even when the screen was cracked. And I haven’t dropped it. How is this coming back to me, when I’ve been treating my phone like my first born child since I got it back? SO F***ING UNRELIABLE. In conclusion, don’t go to iFix Electronics in downtown Davis. They may be less expensive, but their quality of work and people skills suck. And they omit details of their warranty to trick you out of your money. (I would have given them a 0 out of 5 stars if that was an option, but it’s not.)

This guy is a complete rip-​off… proceed with caution — look at all the one-​star ratings and five-​star ratings, notice there’s no in between.
These people overcharge on screen fixes, though the prices on everything else seem alright, problem is they ALWAYS leave your electronics worse than when you brought it to them. I brought my ps3 that had some trouble starting certain discs, they were supposed to clean it… and only clean it, afterwards I got a yellow-​light-​of-​death and they refused to acknowledge their mistake.
It’s a shame really, I thought it would have been cool to visit this shop while visiting Davis, but my golly their little scheme practically ruined my vacation.

Great spot to get your electronics fixed! Have been to iFix 3 times in the past couple of years and have had nice experiences each time. They answer simple questions over the phone (even provide suggestions if you can do the job easily yourself!), reasonable pricing, and quick turnaround. Recommend this spot for repairs in Yolo county!

I brought a laptop here and admittedly, forgot to pick it back up but when I went to do so they told me they had gotten rid of it!
very disturbing, they never called me to tell me they were going to dispose of it if I did not pick it up. beware!

Brought in my Toshiba laptop after a week of the keyboard not responding, they fixed it overnight. A little bit pricey ($ 70), but they were quick, convenient, and were pretty good with communication.
Would go again.

Love these guys. Drop it off broken, pick it up fixed. The bill is what they said it would be. They weren’t quite as fast as they said they would be, but pretty close. I’ve used them several times for different issues. Consistently good.

Tried to charge me $ 150 to fix the screen of a laptop I bought for $ 160. Such a ripoff. Don’t trust the prices here, he’s a manipulator.

I thought my slow-​performing laptop needed increased memory, from 2GB to 4GB. I left it with Tony for about an hour, after which he determined that memory capacity was not the problem but rather it had to do with the processor. I am grateful that he performed this assessment at no charge, and am impressed that they did not take this opportunity to «enhance their business» by doing unnecessary work. Thanks very much!!!

No worky on Samsung phones. Hence, the low rating. Should seriously change names to iFix SOME Electronics.

I have taken my PC to these guys before. Most recently, they quoted EIGHTY DOLLARS just to rescrew screws in my laptop. Outrageous. Everyone else has quoted me around $ 30. There are many more reasonable folks out there.

desperately needed quick help for my dropped broken iPhone screen that would not work at all. All done in an hour! good as new & very nice! Hopefully will not need them again soon, but very happy they exist!

I always use Unilocal,but made an account just to write this review. I had high expectations for this place considering all the reviews raved about the customer service. Unfortunately, I did not have that experience.
I dropped off a computer that had my entire life on it Saturday. There was absolutely no sense of urgency when I dropped it off. They called to tell me my hard drive was bad and a quote to replace it. I agreed. Now, I’m sure that a lot of people would realize that this means all their data will be lost… I know nothing of computers and did not know this.
Regardless it was extremely poor customer service to never even mention that my computer would be a blank slate when I got it back. Luckily I was at work and someone else informed me of this. At this point I called this business and asked what would happen to my data. They stated that they would pull what they could from the hard-​drive and reload it onto my computer once the hard-​drive was replaced.
However when I pick it up they weren’t ready on time and said they just started working on my computer, so I don’t think they even tried to get my data. I have since had someone else do the data recovery (in less than 12 hours, a ¼ of the time these people had it), so that’s fine but I would never take anything here.
I would have been better off paying someone else in the first place, and would have had my computer back sooner. This place has abysmal customer service and needs to work on their communication big time. Who really thinks it’s OK to return a laptop wiped clean to a customer without ever giving them a head’s up? Completely bogus.
One further note: I emailed the company before I posted this and after I picked up my computer. I expressed my displeasure at the situation and lack of communication, and told them I was going to review them. They didn’t bother to even respond, so that pretty much sums it up right there — they already had my money and they don’t care about customers. I wouldn’t go here if you have any type of serious problem with your computer, and I wouldn’t go here at all if you want to be treated with respect and courtesy, Shameful, really.

I got my laptop fixed for free, since it was only diagnosis. The staff there were extremely nice and helpful. They fixed my problem within minutes, while other computer repair shops wanted to keep my laptop for a day or too, without diagnosing it on the spot.
What happened:
I accidentally uninstalled a program or hard drive, causing a defect in the network connections. Also, I was unable to restore my windows 8.1. Therefore, Tony troubleshooted it and hard reset it.
Furthermore, he gave me the option to bring it home to finish restoring it or wait at the store. I am waiting at the store right now just in case if it still doesn’t work.
Tony was super friendly and professional, most importantly, he did not make me feel unintelligent due to my lack of computer knowledge.
I highly recommend this place for fast and efficient repairs without costing you an arm and a leg. Also, location wise they are extremely easy to spot out on the corner of E and 6^th.

What friendly staff! Definitely will come back if I have any other issues.
So. I dropped my iPhone for the n’th time, and it didn’t turn on anymore. It didn’t turn on while plugged in either!
Brought it in to the guys here and I told them what happened. All they did was open it up and push down something that was connecting the battery! Only took 5 minutes, so ended up not charging me!
