Found sandwiches just okay. Cute interior but very small. Outdoors seating quite noisy.

Bread is delicious. Filling generous. I deducted a star because they forgot sprouts. I got it to go so I didn’t find their error until it was too late. Bummed but food was still good.

How come I never went when it was in downtown? The boyfriend raved about this place so of course we had to make a trip while we were visiting our alma mater. We were going to have a big dinner so we decided to share something for lunch. The interior is very tiki with surfboard tables and a tiki hut with plenty of televisions everywhere. But let’s talk about that Malibu… it is simply one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. It is so simple too, hot pastrami with melted swiss and sliced avocado between 2 cheesy garlic breads. There was substantial meat, so you totally get what you pay for. We had a very hard time walking out that door and trying not to order more. We will definitely make more trips in the future.

Surprised at the quality of the sandwiches and the salad. Beer on tap. Multi drink Coca-Cola mix master machine. Hot reuben sandwich was lean and very yummy. Soup and salad were good size. A bit busy at lunch, but they powered through it. Staff were nice and friendly. Fun atmosphere, even if a bit small. TV in every other booth or so. Large tiki hut circular table in the middle. A tropical sports bar They have breakfast sandwiches.

Stopped by on our way back from Tahoe to San Francisco. +Quick service +Lots of salad and healthy sandwich options +Generous amount of ingredients(my sandwich was about to explode!) +Cool beach themed décor(bonus points for the frisbee plates). Side note: If you need to restock on snacks on your road-trip, this restaurant is conveniently located near Target!

Love Beach Hut Deli so much. I’m always so much happier and satisfied than if I had gone to say, Subway. Actual good sized sandwiches. Neat place, good music, TV in some of the booths. Pretty sure they have wifi. They definitely have outlets in the booths so I may come here to work sometime. :D

Imagine yourself hungry for just the right amount of meat & cheese(heated to your stomach’s desire) with veggies and soft bread in any form you like. Be bold and toast your sandwich! Either way a great spot just off the freeway to take a moment, drink from their soda spring or several taps, and get messy with a sandwich just the right fit for your jaws!

What the HELL, Beach Hut Deli?!? I spend 12 years of my life living/working in Davis, and not until relatively recently do you decide to open up shop in town? If you were in town when I was, I’m sure I would have been eating there several times a week. Thus far I have only eaten there and handful of times and have gotten different sandwiches each time. Each time the sandwiches were frikkin amazing. I got the Malibu last time. Pastrami & melted swiss cheese on garlic bread. Holy hell, that was great! Maybe it’s best you didn’t have a store in town during my tenure in Davis. I likely would’ve weighed a lot more than I do now. I wish your location was closer to downtown, but with my current situation of driving through Davis on a relatively regular basis makes it easy to just jump off the freeway to buy another sandwich. Last time I was there, I actually had an internal argument of whether or not I should buy another sandwich to take with me on the road. Luckily for my waistline, I was able to rationalize that I was sufficiently full, and that wouldn’t be necessary(but they’re so damn good!!!).

Of course I try this place for the first time on the day I’m moving out of Davis! Cute interior — the TVs in the booths would be great for watching sports games. Friendly employees who were patient with me as I read the entire menu and double-checked with me to ensure my order was correct. I also appreciated the high tech 100 flavor soda machine. I thought the price was a bit high for a sandwich but then it came out and WOW! I got a medium Surfin Bird with just lettuce, tomato, and pickle, and this sandwich was exploding with goodness. The location is a bit odd, but these sandwiches are worth the trek.

This place serves frozen food. They don’t have a real kitchen, i’m guessing its only a microwave at the back.

Best sandwich shop in town with very nice employee’s, great atmosphere and décor. You cannot sit anywhere and not have access to a television(awesome). It is high on the price side($ 12-$ 15/sandwich) which is my only dislike, but the fact that we eat there so often must mean its worth it.

Beach Hut Deli is so underrated, I’m surprised it’s not always swarming with students. To cut to the chase, the shark bite is my favorite sandwich from this place. The pig kahuna is popular but it depends on how fresh the pineapples were. I actually had to pick the diced pineapples off of mine because it made the rest of the sandwich taste funny. The sauce were great though– spicy, but just right. I normally take my sandwiches to go, but it’s such a great place to sit and relax. Their soda dispenser is efficient and really fun to use! Plus the surfer theme tables are clean and gives off a cool vibe :)

The Surfin Bird is hands down the best. Great turkey, topped with bacon, fresh sprouts, veggies, and cream cheese. All held together in a soft roll. It’s not cheap, but it’s not your regular sando, and a nice guilty pleasure. The day we came they were also doing dollar pints of some good drafts. Can’t go wrong with that!

HANDSDOWN the BEST sandwich place ever! Even after living in Davis for so long I can’t believe it took me so long to come to this place! They recently changed locations and are now located in the«cuts» of Davis near Target, but I promise you its worth the trip! Their sandwiches are also on the expensive side, but splurging once in a while its ok! Plus you can probably feed three people with the largest option! They also add cream cheese to their sandwiches, i know sounds a little weird, but it makes it oh so delicious! The place is an EXCELLENT spot to watch football or any sporting event. They have at least 4 flat screens all over the place. They also have outdoor seating!

This was my first time at their new location. The quality of their sandwiches have actually gone up! My sandwich was fresh and absolutely delicious! It is a bit expensive, but worth it, since I always have half a sandwich to take back for a second meal. Or you can always split a sandwich with a friend. They also have the cool multi-flavored soda machine. The interior is spacious and you’ll feel as if you’re on vacation. Step in the door, peruse the menu, place your order at the counter, and pick up your order on the other side of the counter! No table service, but the employees are very cheery! There are also some comfortable couches if you choose to dine outside. Wish it wasn’t so far! It’s a little past Target, and across the street. However, you won’t need to worry about parking since they have a private lot. I wish I had a car so I could come here more often!

I love me a delicious sandwich! This location is pretty isolated, but a lot of people still come here. It is close by Target and the entrance to hwy 80. I think this part of the plaza will gradually gain popularity. Plenty of parking in the plaza. My bf and I split a Surfin’ Bird medium sized $ 11.75 with drinks each $ 2 when I came here for the first time. But it wasn’t my first time eating this. I did not know sandwiches comes in different sizes haha. It was delicious. You order and wait to pick it up at the counter. Self seating. They have the fancy machine that mixes different types of flavor with soda on a touch screen. It’s nice but the soda still doesn’t taste as good as the original type of soda dispense. No iced tea :/ Nice outdoor patio seating. Not really any views. There are TVs inside to watch games. A «bar» that you can sit and dine alone while watching tv. Nice place to chill with friends, get lunch, enjoy the sun. 5÷16÷14 update: friendly staff! But super slow at making sandwiches when it’s semi busy. So I recommend calling in to pick up if you’re in a hurry. Had to wait 15+ minutes on a Saturday afternoon.

I love the new Beach Hut Deli! Their new location can be a little hard to find even though it is right across from Target. It is in the same plaza as Chase, but on the other end where you exit the plaza. Plenty of parking! The interior of the restaurant is loaded with TVs, personal TVs for the booth tables, and large screen TVs for the bar. They have a bar, yay! I can see this place being really popular as a sports bar once word gets around. Their sandwiches are SOGOOD. I feel like ever since I’ve had Earl’s and Beach Hut, the rest of the sandwich places around just don’t stack up anymore. It kinda sucks, but oh well. My favorite sandwich at Beach Hut is definitely the Malibu, but I’ve tried several sandwiches here and they are all pretty tasty so don’t be afraid to experiment.(: Beach Hut is a little pricey, but you get a pretty big portion so it is reasonable. They were a little slow(20min) on making our sandwiches when we went even though they were pretty well-staffed, but I think that’s because they’re still new. Shouldn’t be an issue in the future I believe.(:
