History

Established in 1995.

In July of 1995, Robert Harris opened the doors to Airmatic Controls, a business created to address the pneumatic controls installation and service needs of commercial and industrial customers in South Florida. With its humble beginnings in a one room office in Hollywood, Florida, Airmatic soon grew to be known as a reliable, knowledgeable, and efficient provider for HVAC and other system services in the tri-​county area. Now in its 20^th anniversary year, and in its new location in Davie, Robert and his team continue to provide cost effective solutions to complex BAC and HVAC customer needs.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Robert Harris is a native of South Florida. Married to Laurie for 33 years, they have two children, Jenna and Sean, and have lived in Broward County, Florida for the past 32 years. Robert completed the Apprenticeship Air Conditioning and Pipefitting Mechanic program in 1980, and in 1987 became a Class A Air Conditioning Contractor. He worked as a Journeyman Mechanic at Johnson Controls for 15 years. He was also an instructor at the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Pipefitting Education Center, service curriculum graduate 5 year program. He achieved a Bachelors in Business at Nova Southeastern University in 1995 and months after opened the doors to Airmatic Controls. He is a proud member of the Mechanical Contractor’s Association of America (MCAA), BOMA, Local Union 725 for Piperfitters, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and is an AAON Factory trained technician.
