Chris Myers Nissan

I brought in my Nissan Titan for vibration when driving over 60 mph a couple years ago. After the service department looked at it for a couple hours, they determined that I needed a whole new rear differential/​axle. The service manager came back with an estimate of $ 5500. I trusted them because I don’t know much about cars/​trucks.
A week later, I picked it up and the vibration was still there. I was confused and furious at the same time because after paying that kind of money, I think anyone would assume the truck would drive perfectly. I drove it to a local tire shop and after only about 20 minutes they said it was the front right ball bearing and a $ 300 fix. I spent $ 5500 for something that didn’t need replacing and came to a conclusion that either the service department at Chris Myers aren’t very knowledgeable or they ripped me off completely. Again a little mom and pop tire shop identified the real problem but an ASE certified tech at Chris Myers couldn’t. Always get a second opinion!

My first experience with Chris Myers Nissan did not go very smoothly. I had an inexperienced salesman which made the process for an inexperienced buyer even more difficult. Then I found out something was wrong with the used car I had just purchased I didn’t know what to do. Being a single parent I was frustrated and scared. But the people at chris Myers Nissan made sure I was satisfied and took very good care of me. Shawn is a fantastic salesman and listened to everything I said. Their finance guy, Daniel was a pleasure to work with– both times. It was a rough start but a great finish over all! If your looking for a Nissan ask for Shawn at Chris Myers Nissan. They’ll take good care of you.

I came to Mobile to help my son buy a car. We had limited time to look around, and were ready to buy. We went to buy a new Nissan Sentra which they advertise online for $ 13,988 each. (It says «two available at this price» on the ad.). I asked to see the car (s). I said «we are here to look at the two 2014 Nissan Sentras that you advertise online for $ 13,988. Where are they?» The truth is, they do not exist. The salesman tried to steer us toward a used 2012 Sentra, and would not tell us the price of that one either for two hours, and after test driving. He sat there asking questions and filling out multiple forms, even though we did not need or want to finance the car, as we told him several times. He acted like he was just stalling or something. He finally disclosed the price of the used Sentra. Of course we knew that there would be tax, title, and license added to the price of the car, but this was THOUSANDS more, both on the new cars and the used ones. The salesman basically said that they could advertise what ever they want online (as opposed to «in print») and that they could add whatever fees they want to — to the advertised price. The salesman said the online price is just to get you into the dealership. (How is this legal?) Again, the new cars advertised at $ 13,988 did not exist AT ALL. He could not point to them. He said he didn’t know which ones they are. Stalling, stalling… Finally, he said he doesn’t have any at that price. The salesman wasted at least two hours of our time before telling us the used car was thousands more than advertised, and that the new cars at that price simply did not exist. He sat there telling us all about himself, bragging on himself, and making constant jokes until they were NOT funny any more, when all we wanted to know was… «how much is the used car?» and «where are the new cars you advertised at $ 13,988.» He had a sign in his office that said something about «the golden rule.» (Wow, go figure.) We were exhausted and felt that we had wasted valuable time with this clown. Will never do business with this dealership. Ridiculous!

I went in to Chris Myers yesterday, a rainy, cold day, to look for at a cute Mini Cooper that I saw online. I realized immediately that wasn’t the car for me. In theory it was great, but in person not for me. I then told the salesman that I wanted something with a technology package, heated seats, lane assist, all of the, to me, latest things. (My current car is eleven.) He then told me about two new Nissans that had that. I casually mentioned that if I was going to spend that kind of money I was leaning toward a Lincoln. He immediately told me that «everyone knows that Japanese cars are better». If I got a Lincoln I’d be making a mistake. People with Lincolns bring them to that dealership to have the transmission fixed.
I would have loved for him to tell me what was good about Nissan, not tell me what was bad about a car that I had already looked at. Sell me on your features. This was the first time a salesman at any dealership had told me how bad something else was. I don’t know if he didn’t notice that we drove up in an American made truck. He didn’t ask what I was driving currently, a Volvo. So I immediately left, feeling like I had just been told I was stupid for having looked at a particular car.
After researching the dealership I realized that they owned a dealership who sold American made cars. That made this encounter even more disturbing to me.
