Specialties
Polka Dot Attic specializes in vintage and period clothing, pioneer clothes, bonnets, aprons, vests, suspenders, hats, and also dishes and vintage handkerchiefs.
History
Established in 2005.
Polka Dot Attic opened as an antiques and children’s book store and quickly turned into a costume shop as well. Number one sellers were tea cups, plates, aprons, and linens. When the store was forced out of its location in 2011, we took it online and by appointment only for locals. The shop is open to parents and their children needing costumes during the school week during the school year. Appointments are mandatory since I can’t stay home 24/7, so I need to know that you are coming.
Meet the Business Owner
Susan E.
Business Owner
Susan has been a teacher, children’s book author, store owner, bartender, cocktail waitress, grocery clerk, corn detassel-er, and racetrack ticket seller. As a mom of three kids who all went through SRVUSD, she knows about the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade costume needs: biography report, Famous American Wax Museum, one-room school house, Oregon Trail, Gold Rush, Sutter’s Fort. Her chiropractor told her about LDS Trek so now she does that, too. She also thrills brides with her vintage handkerchiefs as wedding favors or bride’s gifts, her tea cups, and her vintage dinner plates. Its’ the same quality inventory, but now instead of having a store, it’s more like a warehouse.
