Mina’s is not pretty on the outside but the food is pretty spectacular on the inside! We had short ribs, bacon wrapped chicken, sirloin, linquica, did I mention the ribs(lol)?? Buffet style sides are available too! We’ll be back …

Mina’s is a great and super relaxed spot. I am always quite happy with the rice and beans, steak, and a few linguica(homemade). The chicken, pork, and ribs are also good. This place is pound for pound the best value in Danbury!

Woaaahhh… Outstanding!!! If you enjoy meat you’ll love this place. DELICIOUS. It’s something like $ 6& change per pound and well worth it. My first time and I was surprised at how good it actually is. Very tender meat. I like mine medium and it was so tender moist and juicy. The chicken wrapped with bacon is great also. Rice & beans were also good. Great value and well worth it.

This place use to be great but lost its authentic Brazilian flavor and flair, it’s more Spanish cuisine than Brazilian. For great Brazilian food in Danbury try Planeta Brasil or Banana Brasil

Great food. Went there for the first time and they were responsive and most importantly the food was amazing. So good I took some home for the family.

Hungry? In Danbury? Ditch the thoughts of fast food and get some bbq at Minas. The food is consistently tasty every time! Their natural juices is a plus. Open late also!

Good spot to order out on the run, would give 5 if the seating area was a little more clean. I drive the extra few min and drive to padaminas little further in but totally worth it to dine in.

I have been coming here for over 7 years. I have NEVER had a bad meal! Every time I’m in town, I have to eat here. I can’t help it. The food is always so damn good! If you doubt me, then try it yourself… You’re welcome. I travel the state for work and this is one of the few places were there is no doubt as to what I’ll be having for lunch. Already looking forward to the next time…

The buffet style is perfect if you like to choose your portions. The steak from the grill is delicious, it’s hands down the best place to get Brazilian food in the Danbury area.

Food is amazing! If you have’t had Brazilian steak off the grill, you’re missing out! Their prices are great and I can’t stop raving about the food, its amazing! Décor is a little sloppy but hey, the food is 5 stars and that’s all that matters to me :)

This place is absolutely THEBOMB. Of course, I’m probably dating myself with that comment; I can’t seem to drive through Danbury without stopping here. If my family knows I’m traveling in NY or NJ they always call to place orders on my way home. I prefer the bacon wrapped chicken, my meat and potatoes wife can’t get enough of their steak. My kids like the rice. Win, win, win. Or is it winning? ;-)

Go to spot for Brasilian food, the best. You can get anything you want if you talk to the cooks.

Probably the best post-workout eating establishment I can think of off the top of my head, and honestly, regardless of what you end up with, it’s never really an unhealthy meal(it’s also just a great place to eat in case anyone else is wondering haha). I’ve been to Minas on numerous occasions, mostly after the gym or flag football pickup games and every time has been fantastic. Parking here is the only downside since the small designated lot fills up fast and sometimes you’ll have to park on the road, but it’s usually not that big of a deal since customers flow in and out periodically. Minas is buffet style with a BBQ section located next to the register. You have your typical salad bar station, then your choice of white/yellow rice, then a few Brazilian main courses and side dishes before making it up to the BBQ station. I believe there are 6 – 7 different choices you have that are located above the physical BBQ pit ranging from steak, to sausage, to even bacon wrapped chicken. The chef will cut you however much you’d like as well as how you like your meat, whether it be rare or well done. Once you’re finished building your meal, they weigh it on a scale and charge you by the pound. I’ve walked out of here on numerous occasions with the food I’ve picked and a guarana soda(which is amazing by the way) for under $ 10. Such a steal for the amount of food you can get. The staff here is also super nice and helpful if you’re a first timer. I love Minas and I’ll continue to come here whenever I get my cravings, so you should too ;).

Mina’s Carne is a diamond in the rough; high-end, gourmet quality food at rock-bottom prices. No, as a non-Brazillian, you can’t really take grandma or the hot date(unless she’s a foodie or likes things on the unpretentious side). But again, the food! The feijoada has not only the sausage and assorted meats that you’d expect from an upscale churrascaria, but it also has liberal amounts of fatback/slab bacon that produces an intense flavor. Feijoada is typically paired with farofa, and at Mina’s Carne the farofa comes with small pieces of dried meat, jerky style. — a nice touch. But the highlight, of course, is the meat. Pork is nice and crisp on the outside, with a good crackle to it. Still tender and juicy(though well done) on the inside. I’ve only had better on Mykonos in Greece. The steak is also incredible. I like my steak very rare, so I can always tell the quality and freshness of the meat(for better or worse). Here, it is consistently flavorful and delicious. Personally, I like the garlic and salt, but see how it can be too intense for some. If you’re a foodie, go. you’ll be glad you did. but use your head. This is a working man’s restaurant; they also have awful iceberg lettuce salads, macaroni dishes, spaghetti, etc. Skip these fillers. Stick to the Brazilian specialties: the vegetables, beans, plantains, and meats. Wash it down with Mango Juice. If you are a vegetarian or otherwise shy away from bold, adventurous or highly caloric foods(steamed carrot people, I’m talking to you) go elsewhere.

This place is incredible– most definitely one of my favorites! The food is always delicious, super fresh, and very reasonably priced. You really can’t ask for better. From the outside, it doesn’t look like anything special. Don’t be deceived… this is a real hidden gem!

Brazilian food tends to be very very salty, at least in Danbury. Minas Carnes is pretty salty, but not ridiculously so,(like Banana Brazil.) The guy that cuts the sirloin off the skewers will scrape the rock salt off the outside of the meat with the back of the knife if you ask. He usually cuts me a piece that’s cooked as I asked for it, which is usually medium. I like their potato salad, rice and beans, chiffonade collard greens, braised okra or chayote, fried plantains, and thier selection of whatever fresh fruits and sliced vegetables they put out that day.

This place does not look like much, but is quiet good, prices are very reasonable, it is not a waiter type of place, you order what you want at the counter, and they take it off the rotisserie, I have tried the ribs(asado) was good… they have a hot counter where you can take what you want(many veg /meat dishes typical from Brazil). and then they weight the plate and charge you accordingly. also they have a salad bar which is so so nothing special but very fresh… also this place has a meat counter /carniceria… they have things such as sausage(which is good not great but good) ox tails(frozen) beef ribs that they will cut flanken style if you ask,… and several other items /cuts /chicken… prices are reasonable ribs were 4.99 a lb… tails I think were the same… They do have take out… also food on the hot table changes daily… the rotisserie items(meat cuts) are the same everyday… although they do have meat /fish and chicken on the hot table… this is a good place for good Brazilian food at very reasonable prices… My lunch(plenty to eat) with a drink was under $ 10

This place is great! Informal buffet atmosphere, but amazing food and a great value. Lots of families there on a Friday night when I went.
