Chef Alex Botelho B.
Business Owner
Chef Alex Botelho formerly Executive Chef of «LexZee Gourmet Catering», and «Porricelli’s Food Mart» (Old Greenwich, CT), began working in kitchens as a teenager. He attributes his first real love of food to his apprenticeship under his mentor, «Aunt Nina», who was a culinary teacher herself.
He has also shared his culinary knowledge with well-known regional chefs, and caterers such as «Libby Coverly Cooke Catering» (Greenwich, CT), «Sugar Bee catering» (Larchmont, NY), «Sweet On You» (Stamford, CT), and «Tabouli Grill» (Stamford, CT) — just to name a few.
In 2005, during an Hors D’Oeuvres Contest hosted by the «Anderson Associates of Greenwich, Chef Alex’s dish «Prosciutto and Parmesan Stuffed Mushrooms» was awarded as the winner of the night.
He has achieved great success iin the culinary market in which he has served, garnering praise from the general public, regional associations and media. He has also done presentations on TV cooking shows, and had recipes published.
