La Quinta Inn & Suites Danbury

The hotel was nice. But John, the night shift attendant, is very unfriendly. He’s rude and very unhappy about his job.

The hotel takes great pride in showing off its awards, and they have the service to back it up. Check-​In was quick and they were more than willing to make additional dining recommendations, since I was looking for a local restaurant instead of a chain. The room was clean and comfortable and the room desk was set up so that you could work, not just jammed in the room as an after thought. My meetings weren’t until later in the day, so I actually got to sleep in and wasn’t disturbed by anyone banging down the hallway. I got down to breakfast towards the end of the serving time and it was still well-​stocked, clean and well prepared.

I booked this hotel because it had four stars and I feel the need to bump the stars down for people who are counting on them for reservations. Some la Quinta hotels are amazing and some are iffy. This one is iffy. Our bed is lumpy which means it’s probably old and the entryway and elevator smell like cigarette smoke. Our air conditioner cover broke off of it and it’s not a suite at all, it’s just a big (standard) room which kind of sucks because we’re traveling with extended family. However, out front desk experience was great so we appreciate that!

The hotel met my needs. When I checked in around 4pm and both employees were trainees it set a poor first impression. Also, as the main started to help me a guest with an issue that he was previously working with jumped right along side of me and he began to help her. It totally put a bad taste in my mouth. When I said I guess I should wait he said no. It felt rude. I decided I didn’t want to trust an employee who just made a mistake with one guests reservation to multitask with mine. I moved and had the lady check me in. She got the job done but it was very transactional and not warm and friendly. I don’t even believe that I received any information about the hotel.
The room was clean, bright, and met all of my needs. I did appreciate the 1pm checkout so that I could shower after the Redding Road Race. I also enjoyed having the Outback restaurant next door.

One of the nicer La Quinta’s I’ve stayed at in CT. New Britain for instance would be better sleeping in your car. Not much of a dog area for walking the dog in a designated area but than again this is CT. It’s like a nicer New Jersey. Complex is clean, staff is friendly and there is a conjoined Outback Steakhouse that deliver to the front desk. Nice place.

We needed a handicapped-​accessible room in a hurry, and La Quinta was the first to have an availability.
The room, with 2 full beds, was a little tight for a wheelchair, but we managed. The bathroom has grab bars galore and a roll-​in shower, so that worked well. The room was clean and pleasant.
The side exit closest to the H.A. rooms and the parking lot had a step and a heavy door that made entry and egress challenging.
The lobby and the adjacent breakfast area were simply decorated, but clean, bright, and airy. I refused to get up, but my husband said the breakfast had a pretty good selection.
There’s an Outback Steakhouse accessible from the lobby, and that was a great convenience. We live in Danbury, but for those who don’t, it’s very convenient to shopping; Target, Walmart, supermarket, movie theater, and restaurants are all very close.
I would stay at La Quinta again.

I’ve stayed here several times with my boyfriend and I have to say it was always a pleasant experience. The staff were generally accommodating to our needs and the rooms were always nice. One time we rented a king bed and were given two double beds which was slightly disappointing, but they had somehow sold out of King size beds that evening. My only real complaint is that there wasn’t some type of way to track our visits in a royalty program as we stayed several times and would gladly have returned if there was a loyalty reward as the new hotel we had found has.

Seriously such a nice clean hotel I wanted to stay longer. the breakfast consisted of waffles, bannanas, begals, cereal and yogurt. ot was so nice. They also have a gym. And a pool thats open seasonal. we had a nice stay

A pleasant stay. The rooms are clean, nice amenities, very nice breakfast area. A nice selection of breakfast items like hard boiled eggs, bagels, waffles, cottage cheese, fresh fruit and very good coffee. It’s an affordable hotel with lots of shopping nearby.

A little disappointed this time, the room I had been allocated, the sink don’t work. It is not totally blocked but it takes more than 10 minutes for any water to drain. I did not get there until after 1:30 am in the morning because of the Christmas traffic and just wanted to crawl under the bed.
Otherwise, it is an economical option and the big thing for me was pet friendly. I told the reception the next morning and was going to stay upon my return. Nay, decided to stay in the Hampton Inn instead. Do not like blocked sink.

Do you enjoy parking behind buildings in dark lots with lights only above the entrance doors? Do stale cigarettes smell like spring breeze to you? If so, this is the hotel for you!
The rooms are clean, decently quiet and thankfully, don’t stink like the hallways. Breakfast is adequate.

This was a last minute reservation and we were pleasantly surprised. Luckily they were OK with pets, which was the reason for staying here. Prices were very reasonable and the breakfast was good, but not the best we had at a hotel. The Outback Steakhouse, unfortunately was not a plus.

Great stay at this hotel! Spotless, great shower. Breakfast excellent. Walk thru lobby to «Outback Steakhouse» for dinner. HairDryer, lots of towels, micro, refrig., iron, great staff, coffee in room & DOG FRIENDLY! What more could you want?

An okay place to stay. Friendly enough personnel, moderately comfortable. I can’t say you can expect a five star experience, though.

Terrific place to stay! This doesn’t happen by accident. The manager is a guy named Scott Stuart and he is a manager extraordinaire. He is on top of everything and really strives to make everyone’s stay enjoyable.

Great hotel. Slept very comfortably in a very clean and comfortable room. Cant beat the free breakfast buffet, which includes fresh waffles, fruit, yogurt, etc. Only complaint: the dining room insists on showing Fox News, and that made my breakfast less settled.

For a renovated, hotel, I’d stay here again. Clean, friendly and engaging front desk employees. Standard national chain breakfast, but for $ 71/​night you can not expect espresso, omelets with chocolates on your pillow.

As with others we found this location difficult to find, our GPS brought us to a point a mile away from the actual hotel. The majority of the hotel has been refurbished, it seems like they are still in the process of finishing one of their buildings. The layout of the hotel is strange, seems like they plopped a new hotel on an old foundation. The rooms are spacious, clean, and inexpensive for the area, and most importantly to us pet friendly. It is attached to an Outback steakhouse which is convenient if you don’t feel like driving to dinner. From what we observed driving past the other hotels in the area this is by far the best hotel to stay.

Just stayed at this La Quinta in Danbury … completely new. Everything is shiny and spiffy. Great location close to lots of restaurants, and right off I84. We got a great bargain calling the 800 number. Also free Internet WiFi and breakfast. Recommended!

My company booked me a room at La Quinta in Danbury, CT. When I arrived at the address they gave. I was at the Wellesley Inn… not La Quinta.
I had to call the hotel twice for directions. They never once bothered to mention their sign doesn’t say La Quinta. When I arrived and told her my story she simply said… «Oh yeah… that happens all the time». Apparently La Quinta owns them or tricks customers into staying their for them.
That should have been my first clue.
The entire hotel «smelled old».
The layout was spread out, twisted and confusing.
Most of the guests were young and loud way into the early morning hours.
The room was out dated.
The pictures were long gone from the walls… but the multiple nails that once held things up were still there.
The bedspreads were filthy.
The sheets were starched enough to stand up.
The wall paper overlapped at each seam and was glaring.
The TV was old and the reception… limited… very limited. was also very poor.
Breakfast was unbelievably pathetic.
A few tiny, tiny, «danish» with no flavor.
A few bagels and a toaster that took 12 passes to toast.
English muffins…
butter, jam, peanut butter, cream cheese.
Coffee, no lids
Plain half and half… no creamer, flavored creamer etc…
One type of artificial sweetner…
Miserable…
I’ll not be back. unless it’s to attend the demolition.
