Red Cloak Haunted History Tours

My husband and I did the Camden walking tour with Sally of Red Cloak Haunted History Tours, on our October trip to Maine. We both thought it was awesome! It was so intriguing finding out all the little details about the town that otherwise we would have never known. I really liked that this was not a hocus-​pocus, over fabricated «Halloweenie» ghost tour. It was full of history and stories of the past that have made Camden what it is today. It made the town take on a whole new perspective for us; pretty amazing stuff when you think many of those interesting facts would have gone unseen!
We loved Sally so much that when she told us about a Haunted Lighthouse tour she was doing in conjunction with the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, ME, we made arrangements to attend that as well. Once again, we were not disappointed. Any lover of lighthouses, like myself, would have gotten enjoyment from this trip. We took a boat tour aboard the Pied Piper, to 7 different lighthouses and got to hear the stories and hardships of the keepers that manned the beautiful towers. We also got to meet her husband, Greg, an investigative reporter whom has written two books in conjunction with Sally, about uncovering the history behind seemingly unexplainable mysteries and ghost stories.
I highly recommend Red Cloak Haunted Tours! I can not wait until our next trip to Maine, as I absolutely plan on working in as many locations for tours with Sally that we can!!!

My family lives in ME and I come home and visit each summer. Been on this tour a few different times — once in Camden and once in Boothbay. Love it! I think we got lucky and our tour lead/​storyteller was the owner of the business both times. She knows her history and does a great job. Would highly recommend for an outdoor evening activity, you get to walk through cute historic Maine towns and hear some neat stories. Followed up by a dinner and a drink = perfect evening.

Very disappointing, we expected the gal to play the roll of narrator much better. The web site shows the red cloak lady with her hood up and much more of a roll player. The gal had a broken lantern and was not a very good speaker, quite boring. Our tour was in Bath Maine, not sure if all the locations are the same but this is won you will look forward to it being over with.

Our family had a wonderful private day tour in Boothbay Harbor. Sally, the lady in the red cloak gave a colorful history of the town, and gave us insights into it’s unique ghost stories. We would recommend taking this short tour to anyone wanting a fun perspective on an already beautiful town. The only reason we give it 4 instead of 5 stars is we would have liked a few more stories. However, we suspect Sally toned our tour to not over scare the smaller children.
