History

Established in 1971.

All without contracts, Reitenbach Institute and its students over the past 41+ years have become are winners of thousands of Olympic style martial arts gold, silver and bronze medals. «Yes, all without contracts!»

Students and enthusiasts of Tae Kwon Do have many reasons for their interest in this martial arts style. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-​loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-​defense!

Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, the Reitenbach Institute offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.

The Reitenbach Institute is one of the few, largest, oldest Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. It represents over 41 years of Olympic style world-​class training experience headed by world renowned masters.

Meet the Business Owner

Sydney A.

Business Owner

Master Sydney Reeser, a 7th Degree Black Belt, served as Chairperson of Public Relations of the United States Tae Kwon Do Union. Master Reeser dedicated herself to the full-​time study of Tae Kwon Do in 1971 while she continued working at the San Francisco Presidio.

In 1976, Master Reeser achieved a B.A. Degree from San Francisco State University and obtained her First Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. While graduating up to 7th Degree Black Belt, Master Reeser worked as a Chief Instructor at Hamlin School and Cathedral Boys School in San Francisco.

In 1974 she began teaching full-​time at the Reitenbach Institute of Tae Kwon Do while working as an Assistant Instructor at the University of San Francisco. She continues to hold these positions today.

Contributions to Tae Kwon Do

Throughout the years Master Reeser has made many contributions to Tae Kwon Do. For example, as a 1976 AAU/​USA Gold Medalist, she served as the Pacific Association’s AAU Tae Kwon Do Treasurer in 1980.
