5 stars for very friendly service and homestyle filipino bargain priced($ 2-$ 5) sandos. Not much competition in this remote area, and limited parking, so my rating is a bit generous. By now I’ve tried everything in their menu. The sandwiches are worth 3 – 4 stars depending on which u order. Except for the tapa beef and chicken sisig all the other meats are cold cuts, which u could put together at home. Also, I don’t like spam, and Roxie Food Center has better pastrami. OWM doesn’t have much business, so at times they might run out of a type of bread or some bread could be stale. Just talk to the staff before making your sandwich, they’ll gladly swap to whatever bread is best at the time. Other popular sandwich shops might have better sandos, but they also charge much more than $ 5. Cash only. I was told that the place was named for religious reasons, because the owners(also own Tselogs, 2 doors down) are catholic and belief there’s only one proper way to live your life.

I went to visit One Way Mission on a Saturday around lunch time and although their hours say they’re open, they were closed. This was my first experience with giving them a try and I was deterred for giving them another chance, but I just happen to be in the neighborhood yesterday, they were open, and there was parking right in front so I decided why not. When we entered it looked like it was half office half deli? Their price points were really good. $ 5 for one sandwich so I was eager to give them a try. I ordered the chicken sisig sandwich. For me the sandwich was just ok. It was really salty. The sisig had bits and pieces of chicken fat which I’m not really into. Nothing impressive other than getting a whole sandwich for $ 5. Their tables and chairs looked outdated and didn’t match. There was no «feel» or «vibe» for the eating space. If you wanted to try this place out it would probably better to grab and go.

Semi-hipster level portion/pricing without that extra bit of food quality/flavor to make up for it. I’ve ate there twice and tried their chicken sisig and their crab sandwich. Their chicken sisig and crab sandwich were very short in height, meaning lack of fillings inside the sandwich. If I was just rating the sandwich out of 5 stars I’d give both 3.75−4, but when taking account of the price and the portion it is definitely 3. Also note like past reviewers, they tend to close up early or not open up at all so usually its a gamble heading to their for a sandwich. Luckily New Daly City Market is close by or you can get Tselogs or Gateway.

Can someone please explain to me why they are closed right now, a Saturday at 12pm, during operating hours with no sign explaining why? I just walked into Tselogs( Unilocalers say it’s the same owner) and asked one of the people working there why they are closed and all she can give me is a «I don’t know.» I was really looking forward to enjoying the sunshine at the park with a sandwich in hand today. I walked all the way from my house here for nothing. Please explain!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for One Way. Just didn’t have the time, but know I do. This place is amazing. It very nice and cozy. Customer Service in this establishment is amazing. Cynthia ;one of the sand which artist is very friendly and knows her sandwich very well and gives the best recommendation. She recommended me to try the tapa sandwich and it was the bomb. It was nice, tender, juicy, had great flavor, and top with a special one way dressing. The sweetness of the beef and that little heat on the dressing really balanced the sandwich and can’t go wrong with adding topping on your sandwich like melted provolone cheese. Yum!!! The best thing is the price is very affordable. This is a great sandwich spot to try.

If you’ve ever had Toast before, THAT’s the legit Sisig sandwich. I wanted to give this place a try since I was in the area. First off, the lady was your typical sweet filipino. When I paid for my sandwich, she told me it was $ 6. but all the menus around the store said $ 5… so I asked why. and she said«Because we changed the pricing, just not the sign». The ingredients weren’t even that great as well. The egg seemed like it was in a pan overnight and was just kept in their refrigerator. Plus, the sisig isn’t even fresh, she microwaved it to reheat it. AND she didn’t even ask me what kind of bread I wanted on my sandwich. Apparently, they only have one kind. The mixture of chicken sisig and type of spread was not worth it. I’d rather spend $ 10 at toast than the supposedly $ 6 that I spent at this store. I am not coming back, that’s for sure.

The sole staff member was friendly. The price of the sandwiches, $ 5, is reasonable. But for my first time there, the tomatoes on my sandwich were sour. It made me think if this simple ingredient isn’t fresh or has been improperly stored, what about the rest of the items?

a gem in daly city, right next to tselogs and the same owners too. delicious sandwiches for only 5 dollars. there’s nothing more i can ask for. sometime there’s not enough meat, but if ask them to add more, they’ll do it for no extra charge! i personally like the chicken sisig sandwich on a french roll. but i’ve had their tapa sandwich on dutch crunch and you can’t go wrong with that either. the lady’s super nice and takes her time to make the sandwiches, so be prepared for a small wait if there’s more than 5 customers.

It’s a take-out kind of place, but cozy enough to bring a date… although it’s VERY casual setting and only has a few tables. Great service, great quality and of course, EVERYTHINGISONTHE $ 5MENU!

I go to Tselogs often and I’ve never noticed One Way Mission next door. Its front façade is as nondescript as you can get; good thing the sandwiches are remarkable. It took me a while to warm up to One Way Mission, mainly because I couldn’t reason why I would ever choose bread over rice, but turns out sisig(or tapa) on a dutch crunch roll can fit the bill! Literally too, because you can’t beat that price.

Home of the $ 5 sandwich. Forget Subway. Forget Arby’s. Forget all those chain stores that serve similar sandwiches. If you’re broke. Go here. If you’re hungry. Go here. If you’re on a budget. Go here. If you want something tasty. Go here. If you want Filipino sandwiches. Go here. If you want any kind of sandwich. Go here. If you’re a cheap bastard and want to take your date to eat out. Go here. If you can’t cook. Go here. If you’re too lazy to cook. Go here. If you want a meal to go. Go here. If you got the flu. Don’t go here. I don’t want your sick ass spreading your germs all over the place. But seriously, folks. Get the Tapa and Sisig sandwiches. You can thank me later.

Chicken sisig sandwich was pretty tasty. The bread definitely made the sandwich; as every bite was really crispy yet soft inside of their Dutch crunch(tasted as though it was made in house!). The sandwich was pretty good, but I felt that it could’ve used a little more meat. If the bread wasn’t so good I probably wouldn’t have finished it. Service was really prompt and sweet, but it was only one woman ‘manning the house’ and we were the only customers. Definitely somewhere to check out if you’re in the neighborhood. :)

So just to update my review, I’ve been back a couple of times already, I’ve tried their chicken sisig, tapa, and crab sandwiches, all of which are pretty good. The sandwiches are filling, I could eat just half and be satisfied and save the other half for tomorrow. They also have mini-pandesal sandwiches(kinda like KFC’s Chicken littles) with egg and spam or corned beef, which I like cause they’re easy to eat. :) So there.

The joint has been opened for a while and I never even knew about it. Well now I know why, they havn’t really advertised or market at all until recently on their store front and post pictures of the windows. I had to give this spot a try especially they’re owned by the same family as Tselogs a few stores down. heres why the 5 stars: 1. awesome service. Friendly, talkative, chill environment w/the music 2. not stingy with the meat in the sandwich whether it was the TAPA or the chicken sisig. super filling on that french roll! 3. add an egg. you’ll love it. 4. so convenient, I’ve never had an issue finding parking and it’s super easy to call in and make your order over the phone 5. oh, it TASTEGOOD and it’s affordable. I’ve bought similar style sandwiches with the filipino kick to it and i’ve paid hefty prices that are not even comparable to One Way. Keep it up! i’ll be back soon

Erhm what can I say? I was really excited to try One Way Mission because everyone on Unilocal raved about their Chicken Sisig Sandwich. Since I live a couple of minutes away, I decided to call in for a pick up order at around 4pm. The lady who answered was very nice and suggested the french roll with my Chicken Sisig. One Way is literally a couple of doors down from Tselogs so I was a bit hesitant because I read that One Way is owned by Tselogs, but I thought«wtheck, why not?» I was able to pick up my order and pay $ 5(no tax) for my sandwich and leave. Pros: –Nice family owned restaurant –Cheap prices(They also have«budget sandwiches» for $ 2) –Interesting concept(Chicken Sisig, Tapa, etc) –You can add chips and soda for $ 1 Cons –Sandwich bread was stale –Chicken Sisig was soggy and lacked flavor –Sandwich was small Maybe Unilocal hyped it up for me? I don’t know.

I was Unilocaling and stumbled upon this cute little place. It’s near my friend’s house so I thought I’d pick up a sandwich before going to her place. I got the chicken sisig sandwich and it was pretty damn good. A mix of Filipino food and sandwich, yum. It’s suppose to be spicy, but I couldn’t taste any spiciness at all, but still pretty good without the spice. I kept thinking about it, so I went again the week after to pick up the same sandwich :9 Obviously, I have to go back for more, and to try the other sandwiches, of course. :)

Tselog’s sandwich shop, One Way Mission, is a bargain and dining there is like dining at a friend’s house, complete with having her toddler staring at you and sitting at your table. It doesn’t get much more casual than that. The décor is somewhat random with an island theme. They have sandwiches($ 4 — $ 5), hot dogs and breakfast sandwiches. The most interesting sounding sandwiches are Filipino inspired: chicken sisig and tapa(the best seller). The bread is nothing special(Orowheat) and you can choose the kind you want(though she didn’t ask me what type I wanted and the menu didn’t mention bread choice). * Tapa sandwich($ 5): The sandwich was packed(well-stuffed) though the roll was small. The beef was marinated in soy sauce, garlic, sugar, etc. and it had a pulled pork type of quality. The sandwich also had the Swiss cheese, tomato, red onions, cucumbers, pickles, pepponcini, lettuce and scrumptious garlic aioli. The sweet white roll was toasted. The sandwich had about equal proportions of meat and veggies. Two things stood out — the flavorful meat and the garlic aioli. Adding chips & a drink is just $ 1. Free wi-fi. Cash only.

The Filipino«Subway». Came for lunch and tried their signature tapa and chicken sisig sandwich, $ 5ea, $ 10 for both. They also have Jollibee style pan de sal sandwiches for $ 3.( ) These sandwiches tasted ordinary compared to the ones from Toast and Rhea’s. –At Rhea’s you get Acme bread. Here you get Safeway Select French Rolls that tasted like a day or two old. –At Toast, for their sisig sandwich, you’ll get cooked to order meat, a freshly fried egg, signature sauce, etc. Here, you’ll get chicken sisig microwaved to order. To me, you actually get more sisig if you get the rice plate from Tselogs(same owners). — My sandwich came with the standard«Subway» toppings: lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, pickle, red onion, and peperoncini’s. It actually tasted like a Subway sandwich except with Filipino meat.( ) Regardless, Oneway is solid for Asian fusion sandwiches and pretty tough to beat given the $ 5 price. I still give the edge to Rhea’s and Toast when it comes to quality/taste. You may pay more, but you get more.( )

THEBEST $ 5ASIANFUSIONSANDWICH I’VEEVERHAD!!! Brought to you by the same owners as Tselogs lies a hidden gem in Daly City that will give Toast Deli(Daly City), Rhea’s Deli(The Mission), Café Bunn Mi(Inner Richmond), etc. a run for their money. At half the price of its competitors, One Way Mission will offer you one of the most flavorful and satisfying Asian Fusion Sandwiches your mouth and tummy will have ever met. CHICKENSISIGSANDIWCH — $ 5 The toasted French Roll was generously filled with chicken sisig(minced chicken cooked on a sizzling platter and seasoned with vinegar, calamansi juice and soy sauce), topped with melted swiss, lettuce, red onions, pepperoncini and then doused with a housemade garlic pesto aioli sauce. Each bite set off an explosion of different textures and flavors in my mouth. First, I got a soft crunch from the bread and then a tender crispness from the chicken sisig. The sisig was right on point with the authentic flavors of salty and sour with a mild kick. The swiss and pesto garlic aioli added a decadent creamy and herbacious garlickyness while the crisp lettuce, tomatoes and onions helped to balance the richness. TOTALMOUTH-WATERING, LIP-SMACKINGDELICIOUSNESS! This hidden gem won’t stay a secret for long, so what are YOU waiting for? OTHERNOTES: *Menu: –Page 1: –Page 2: *Add $ 1 for chips and a soda *Super welcoming and friendly service(definitely tip worthy) *3−4 small, clean tables for eating *Cash Only
