This place has a lot of stuff, but the prices are almost 1.5x more expensive as they would be at other places. For example, i bought a pack of 12 eggs for $ 5, and at FoodsCo I can get a pack of 18 eggs for $ 3.79. Crazy huh? And that goes for almost every item in the store that I’ve checked such as: soap, cereals, cooking food supplies. I felt robbed, but I had to go there because It was an emergency – I ran out of eggs – . Moreover, they have bad cashier customer service, their pastry bread is often hard, and try not to buy their cooked food. They’re small portions, over prized, and does not taste good. In sum, I would recommend to only go there in an emergency for need of something now. Otherwise, be kind to your wallet and go to FoodsCo for your weekly grocery shopping.

They have roaches here!!! Saw some next to the tamales, crawling in the walls. I rather go to the one a few blocks down

Service was terrible. On top of that, they overcharged on an item that was clearly labeled. When asked about it, the cashier was not helpful. A few blocks down the street is another La Loma location(La Loma #3). Same store but superior in many respects. I’ve never had any issues at that one. This location needs to work on their service.

I’ve been coming for many years when i’m in the area for a hike. After my hike i like to come by and buy a few items w/o having to wait in long lines at a bigger market. I also visit the deli alot, as I love the tacos. I also buy the ceviche. But the last time i bought it, it wasn’t too fresh as i had it for a couple of days in the frig and it just tasted like it expired. :(

Five stars considering it is a small local grocer! FANTASTIC! I’ve been to a few other La Loma’s in the city and I am always happy that this is the one that I live close to! The produce is super cheap, especially my favorite things like limes and tomatoes. This one even has incredible hot food. The tort as, rock your socks off! Yum Yum! They are always quick and efficient. I can’t say I have any complaints, I leave happy each time!

What can I say about my local grocers? They’re amazing! I love La Loma! Everyone is very friendly, the produce is good quality and super affordable. The butchers in the back are always smiling and joking and will do just about anything you ask them to do. Don’t even get me started about their burritos… I don’t go anywhere else. They are limited when it comes to high-end products like premium cuts of meat and things like that but hey, for what it is, it’s amazing. I love the place. Definitely a local gem in Crocker.

This place is kind of like an extension of the La Loma mini markets you see along Mission St. It’s probably five times the size of the La Loma #6 at Onodoga St and Mission about a mile away, and this one has a bigger selection of produce in addition to a whole slew of stuff the small one doesn’t carry, for instance, the butcher in the back. For about $ 5.50 I picked up a fluffy head of red leaf lettuce(89 cents), three roma tomatoes, two mangoes and seven lemons(7/$ 1.00), and voila, I have most of my food taken care of for today: two salads, mangoes for an afternoon snack and dessert, and ample lemons for my lemon drop night cap. In these tough economic times, where I can’t do the Earth any good because I can’t afford to eat organic as much as I used to, I can happily shop here knowing I’m supporting a local neighborhood market because they have all of my needs, for less than at Lucky’s, Safeway, or even Trader Joes charges.
