Giammona Pool provides: Swim lessons, Recreation Swim, Lap Swim, Aqua fit, Aqua Trek, and Boot Camp.

You can host your next party at our pool, with a private classroom right next to the pool it’s perfect for your kid’s birthday or special event.

Aqua Swim Camp is for kids ages 6 – 12; during this week long camp, kids will work on their swimming skills, go on a field trips, and participate in recreational activities, all the while making new friends and memories.

Aqua Guard Start Camp is for youths ages 11 – 14; this camp is designed to help participants learn some skills required to become a lifeguard, strengthen leadership skills, and make new friend.

I’m a 40 year old swimming virgin, and I just recently started taking swimming lessons. The instructors are awesome, very encouraging and patient to their students. I could tell how involved they are in making the student a better swimmer: the grading includes specific comments on your technique and how to make you swim better. Justin and Cole are great instructors, and they make it a fun and relaxed environment to learn especially for a 40 year old swimming virgin like me!
As far as facilities goes, the place looks clean and orderly. There’s an upper deck where the parents/​visitors can check out the pool from above. There are no soaps in the dispensers in the shower/​bathroom area, but I guess that’s not included in the budget. Just bring your own soap/​body wash/​shampoo and you’ll be fine. And don’t forget non-​slip slippers in the shower areas. Overall, the experience is great, and I would definitely recommend this pool to friends and family.

I come here every week for my niece and sisters swim class and I have very few complaints. But my main one is HOW DO THEY NOT HAVE SOAP IN BATHROOM TO WASH YOUR HANDS. Ever since i have been coming here i have never seen soap in bathroom. WHY HAVE SOAP DISPENSERS?! SO UNSANITARY.

I love the swimming classes here! I came here as a child and now as an adult (to learn how to swim correctly again). Christine is awesome! She is very patient with her students. I highly recommend this place for swimming lessons for both children and adults.
On another note, BIG thanks to Brian who was working the front desk today! I lost a piece of jewelry and he helped me find it! He was very patient with me.

My toddler has been incredibly lucky to have Connie as her swim instructor! Connie is great with kids — incredibly patient, trusting, friendly and makes learning how to swim really fun.
We’ve been going to Giammona Pool for classes, rec swim and private parties since before its massive renovation and we have had nothing but great experiences here. The staff are all very nice, lifeguards are always alert and quick, and the entire place is clean. Pool temperature is perfectly warm and the open viewing area upstairs has ample bleacher seating. My older child also loves the huge basketball area out back.
As far as swimming lessons, they run a very tight but organized schedule. For toddlers, the class size is limited to 5 kids which enables instructors to keep the little ones focused on developing new skills and progressing through each 30-​minute session, all while ensuring the kids feel comfortable, safe and are having a good time.
I have seen my toddler become more confident and comfortable in the water in just the few sessions she’s completed. And she’s looking forward to progressing to the next level!

Westmoor pool has 11 lanes open for lap swim. The hours are stingy because it’s a high school pool but it’s clean and reliable. The staff is great and there is a large spa pool available most of the time. The location of the pool is hard to find the first time you visit but well worth the search. Longer lap swim hours would be a plus.

Giammona Pool is an awesome swimming pool. The pool has nice warm 82 degree water. They use the proper amount of chlorine so my eyes don’t sting if I open them under water. The pool has 11 lanes during lap swimming. They also have a hot tub which is really nice for relaxing your muscles after a long day of swimming. The chlorine is a lot more intense in the hot tub. The pool is a nice size — 25 yards x 25 meters. The pool varies in depth from 3’6″ on the shallow end to 7′ for the swim lanes and 10′ for the deep end. It is nice that the swimming lanes are deep enough to do all your strokes.
The swimming pool is a great value. As of 6÷6÷15 a day pass for residents of Daly City is $ 6 and non residents $ 7. They also have swim passes good for 14 swims at $ 66 for residents and $ 88 for non residents, which is a tremendous value.
The location is very convenient. There is plenty of parking available both at the pool and on the streets nearby.
Improvement Suggestions:
The swimsuit spinner keeps going out of order due to people improperly using it. Talking with the staff its getting too expensive for them to fix all the time so they are thinking of removing it. For me its not a big deal but it would be nice to have a dry swimsuit when I’m done.
During rec diving they seem to close off the lanes and the deep side often. It would be nice if they remained opened. The reason for it seems to be the number of lifeguards on duty.
I find the locker rooms & showers here incredibly slippery. Be sure to have good slip resistant slippers.

The pool is so beautiful! The pool is the perfect temperature especially for children. I come here to swim after my cousins’ finish their swimming lessons. There’s benches that are at an upper level near the swimming pool, and it’s really toasty there, which is good for fall and winter times.
During certain hours (I forgot what time), they would open a little mini jacuzzi for people. Don’t dunk your whole head inside because the lifeguard in there will scold you.

My kids have been coming to this place for over a year. Week after week, their staff is friendly and attentive. It’s a busy place. At any one time they have at least 6 classes going on plus maybe 6 lanes available for free swim. Boy are they on top of the time too!
You get whistle announcements at 10, 5 and 1 minutes until the class ends. Classes are typically 30 minutes. The instructors have been really good, though at times there are stylistic differences that can cause some confusion for the kids (but just tell your kids to ask for clarification; they need to learn to speak up anyway. It’s good for them).
The classes range in ability from toddlers who need to be carried by a parent to kids who look like a squad of marines doing drills. The classes typically last about 6 sessions with the 5 session used for testing and the 6 for half instruction half free play. Students get a report card during the 6th session giving them details about how they did and if they can move up to the next level.
Parking can be an issue so plan ahead if you want your kid, or yourself to be on time (especially during AYSO soccer season! –google it; lazy!).

I’m lap swimming every weekend and I love it. The facility is very clean, the staff is very helpful and the swimming pool is big enough to have a great workout. If you are a Daly City Resident, they will only charge $ 6. The best $ 6 investment. 100% Recommended!!!

I’ve been coming here on the weekends for consistently for over a year and this place definitely meets my needs for my cardio workout. The staff is always very nice and turnover with the guards seems to be low which is nice as one gets to recognize familiar faces. The pool is well maintained and love the Jacuzzi which I use after swimming my mile to loosen up those tired muscles. They have a variety of swim aids to use at your disposal for your workout from noodles, kickboards and fins
Locker rooms and bathrooms (men’s) are clean and well maintained with my only gripe being that the suit spinner has been out of order for quite some time since the summer. I was told that once school started that Westmoor would fix it but alas that has not been the case!

This place got a great makeover! Have been bringing my son here for lessons to keep him active. He knew how to swim prior to lessons but was taught the proper way when he started here. He continuously moves up the ladder and graduates to the next class. Instructors are great with kids. Only giving 4 stars because it’s quite difficult to sign up sometimes. Classes fill up super quick so you can’t slack on it.

The investment they put towards the new pool is definitely worth every penny! I grew up using this pool since 2000 and now residents in Daly City/​SF area have the luxury of using this amazing, innovative indoor pool. The staff is always super welcoming and nice. The pool accessories they have are always fun to play! They even have a jacuzzi for you to relax in after your hard work of swimming!
They provide lap swimming as well as swim lessons (toddlers to pre-​teens). There is more of a variety of time slots of lessons during the summer time than the school year. The instructors have been great and the senior guards working always are knowledgable.

Awesome swim rec for kids and adults alike. Very affordable for residents ($ 50 for 8sessions and non-​residents (slightly cost more). Very clean facility. Young instructors are energetic and effective. We keep coming back and signing up the kids all year round as they move up in levels of swimming. Diving sessions when available are only $ 5 per session with recreational swimming included after the session.
Birthday parties are also available. They provide a private room for you and your party. Reserve ahead. Recreational swimming available on weekends for a minimal cost. Pay as you go. Highly recommended.

This pool has definitely upgraded from the Giammona Pool that I grew to know over the years. This pool used to be so filthy and disgusting to the point where I feared walking barefoot on the deck. But I still grew to love the pool because I swam here my entire childhood. The kids nowadays don’t know how fortunate they are to have such a beautiful and well maintained pool. Yay for clealiness!
I was finally able to swim in the new remodeled pool this past Tuesday for lap swim. It costs $ 6 for Daly City residents and $ 7 for non DC residents (too expensive for my liking). I don’t know what time lap swim started, but it ended at 8:30pm. A huuuge pro for this pool is its size. It’s great that the pool is large enough to accommodate 4⁄5 lanes of lap swim, a swim team practice, and swimming lessons for little kids. I will definitely be coming back again to take advantage of lap swim!
Also the two girls working the front desk were super friendly and helpful!

Wow the remodeled pool at Westmoor is nice! My bestie had her son’s birthday party here and it was great! The kids enjoyed swimming and the party room is big and spacious. Plenty of room for all the tables, kitchen and plenty of parking for the guests.
The only thing which was crazy is they rush you out. The staff comes in and starts throwing things away and the guests seemed a bit startled. Other than that Giammona Pool is a great spot for parties and swimming!

I have two kids that have taken swim lessons here this year.
The kids (instructors) that teach the lessons have always been attentive and helpful. They are nice and I don’t have any negative things to say about them.
However…the reason I only gave 4 stars is because on a number of occasions the main life guard, on the chair at the front corner, was not paying attention. They, it was both girl and boy at different times, we’re chatting with other life guards and it clearly distracted them from keeping an eye on the pool. There are at least 30 children and adults taking lessons which mean a lot of opportunities for accidents. The main life guard must, at all times, keep a diligent eye on the patrons in the pool. I understand they are teenagers but there are nervous little kids in the pool and having that trained eye can mean the difference between having a good time and administering CPR.
Please just do a better job of monitoring the pool because my kids (and other parents kids) are in the pool.

My kids take swim lessons here. One is a guppy and the other is a duckling.
They are currently in their 2nd session and they really love taking the class and always look forward to it.
The instructors are good, although some are better than others.
I believe the pool is relatively new and by the way it looks, it’s awesome!
Plenty of space above for watching your kids, or just outside the front doors, if you prefer. The women’s locker room is fine, with plenty of lockers. It can get a slittle slippery there because of all the traffic and of course, water. My daughter has slipped in there twice, so be sure to be careful in there. They should put in some floor mats to help with that.
