How can a café be a café with no WIFI? I go here on an hour break to get work done, and when i ask for the password, I am told, «It is for internal use only.» As cute as this place is, it totally defeats the purpose of a «café» and i refuse to return. Especially in a college neighborhood.

The cold clean exterior of a bitchy shopping store made me feel poor. Unnecessary items like overpriced silver dog bowls and $ 5000 Givenchy leather jackets sanctify this sterile fashionable crib of Dallas shopping. The T room is its glorious café — spacious, and perhaps almost clean and organized enough for an OCD highland park housewife. The whiff of high maintenance is in the air, but with the large open wall of windows with all of its heavenly light, and a stone atrium housing a statuesque bubbling fountain you’ll feel A type relaxed. The ordinary waitress still held a formality. «We open in 8 minutes.» To an empty dining room with no one in sight. «Well can we get a table or do you want me to just stand here.» I quipped with sarcasm. The moody demons of wealth and fashion were taking possession. She sat us. The menu was surprisingly crowd pleasing, drool worthy and affordable. My friend eyed the chicken curry served on greens or as a sandwich, while I was instantly drawn to the grilled artichoke sandwich, $ 14 and $ 12 respectively. I let him choose the chicken salad entrée and we split it, which was just enough food. I took off my jacket to reveal a neon orange Nike tank top. «Is this appropriate?» «If you think it is.» My transcendentalist dining friend remarked. I glanced over at three fierce older woman all in black, looking straight out of Vogue magazine, or at least the sales office. I quickly put the jacket back on. The chicken salad was spicy and sweet with expensive raisins, the curry flavor singular in its depth, just a hint of mayo on a bed of fresh greens, fresh large grated strips of Parmesan cheese and tomato dressed in a sweet premium olive oil — just simple fine ingredients. How much do you think these are? My quizzical friend refered to two large slices of agate wall mounted next to us. $ 25k I guessed.(I was $ 5k over.) My buddy got a wonderful chai tea and I had to order the macaroons $ 2, one honey lavender and one raspberry, with a thin raspberry jam garnish. The cookies were both crisp and chewy with the honey lavender having the most interesting flavor. Maybe I didn’t belong here — I’m not female and my checking account isn’t in the millions, but you don’t have to, and the lunch is good — the setting — serene. Summary — Eating lunch with rich Highland Park housewives — done right.

Love this place! Reminds me a bit of Abbott Kinney restaurants in LA.: all the food seems pretty fresh, and the antique-y/outdoors-y feel along with the décor is what does it. Love the pin-tuck ceiling and the way the restaurant has integrated with Forty Five Ten. Even the restroom is super cute. The water fountains and open space are a nice touch. Their new room, The Library, is precious as well. No wonder the place was filled with ladies, that too, skewing older. This place has a healthy/brunch feel, which suggests the perfect dining for women. I had their green envy smoothie and brie sandwich/asian pear salad combo. Both were amazing. Everyone at my table seemed to enjoy what they ordered as well, including the curry chicken and cranberry chicken sandwiches. I feel like I will come here often. Food is amazing, and so is the restaurant!

I came here because one of my favorite cafes(Number One in Highland Park) recently shut down. But I saw that they moved some of their items over to the T Room so I had to come try it out! I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is very nice! They have both an outdoor and indoor section. We chose to sit outdoors since it was a nice day(and it’s completely covered — it feels like a back porch). Service was super attentive albeit the kitchen was a little slow. I ordered the curry chicken salad, and it was green curry instead of the yellow curry I’m used to. Still delicious! I also got the tomato basil soup. Just as good as ever! Definitely coming back for some nice lunches and cappuccinos.

Absolutely adorable lunch spot behind a lovely boutique! I’d highly suggest making a reservation… it filled up quickly. The service was swift, attentive but not intrusive. I had soup and a salad, absolutely delicious! And for those gluten-free friends… They do have some lovely options. This would be a great spot for just a ladies lunch or a small business meeting. I highly recommend it!

I wouldn’t even give this 1 Star if Unilocal didn’t require it. Utterly obnoxious service served in snitty highly overrated tea room in a retail store. Avoid this loser.

Adorable restaurant behind a super chic home and fashionista boutique in the Knox-Henderson area. Come dressed and ready to see and be scene, as well as eat light salads and perfectly portioned panini’s. The lovely ambiance and polite-non intrusive service reminds me of a small ABC Kitchen(NYC joint) and I will be returning in the future! I also eyed up an Emporium Pie behind the counter… As if those ladies who lunch are eating that!

I wanted every clothing item and home accessory in this gorgeous shop, but it turns out that the only thing I could afford here at The T Room was lunch. During my recent visit to the T Room I was hosting(along with a few other lovely ladies) my sister-in-law’s bridal shower. The T Room turned out to be the perfect spot for such a occasion. The restaurant itself is absolutely charming and the staff here did a beautiful job of setting it up for our event. The food was pretty good as well. Since it was a bridal shower we had worked out a few options ahead of time and I went with a tortilla soup(when in Texas) and a salad topped with grilled chicken. It was tasty, filling and seemed somewhat healthy, which I later ruined by indulging in chocolate cake for dessert. I imagine this is THE spot for high society Dallas ladies to dine, including the Bush girls who were lunching there just the day before our event. I’d definitely go back the next time I’m in Dallas if anything just to do some more window shopping in that wonderful store.

Great lunch spot! I had the French Panini and Tomato Soup. Both were delicious and very filling. We also had the appetizer with country bread; the dip was decadent. Perfect spot for a girls lunch — feel spoiled without spending a lot. Then, you get to wander around the store to see extravagant items and funny cards. Highly recommend!

Truly a place for ladies who lunch(which I am not). I came here for lunch on a weekday with a friend. The lunch crowd was about 98 percent women, varying widely in age. Surveying the room, I was glad I was dressed in work clothes. I would have felt way underdressed in my usual jeans and flip flops. The interior is bright and charming, with lots of natural light and touches of foliage. The menu consists mainly of salads and sandwiches, as well as a few soups. I chose the salad-sandwich combo of the spinach apple salad and the artichoke panini, and both were wonderful. After finishing our meal, my friend and I both ordered hot green tea. This isn’t a tea-bag-in-a-mug place. We each received a teapot of loose-leaf tea with a matching tea cup. So freaking charming. I’ll definitely be coming back to the T Room… dressed in my ladies gear and ready to chow down. :)

I would give it 4 or 5 stars, it’s been remodeled and enlarged, it’s beautiful! Great food, ambiance and nice waitstaff. However, we were there for 2.5 hours because our waiter with the thick black frames was soooooo slow getting everything! The salad and soups took 30 – 40 minutes to arrive, wow! Then we ordered flour-less chocolate cake, and after a whopping 20 minutes he came to tell us they had run out. So I asked what took him so long and he said the cake wasn’t not thawing out properly and they discarded it!!! What? Aren’t they prepared for cake orders? Why are they thawing it out at 1:00 p. m after the lunch rush, I thought they’d have it ready and chilled or something, NOT frozen at this time! Then we asked for a check because he disappeared for 10 – 15 minutes! Finally we paid and still took 15 minutest to get our credit cards back. There were only 5 – 6 tables taken at the time and there were 2 – 3 waiters, so he was not alone. HORRIBLY slow service. He was nice but never apologized. Hmm… not sure about going back.

LOVE the T Room! The ambiance is great, and the shopping in the connecting store is awesome. Have come here with my mom and sister multiple times, and we’ve also brought our aunts and cousins too. Great tea, great soups/sandwiches. I’ve never been disappointed by the food or service here.

What a disappointment. The food was good(I ordered the Asian pear salad and tortilla soup) but service was the worst I can remember in my lifetime. No acknowledgment when we walked in for several minutes(not even a glance — am I invisible when not carrying my Chanel bag?), no seating us — they just waved us toward a table, took drink orders first from 2 other tables that were seated after us, no water refills or checking on us for the hour we were there, waited forever for the check. Also gross was that the spoons are stored handle-side-down in a glass, so when they grab a spoon for you, they grab it by the head with the same hands they use to handle menus and money. Nasty. I expected more with my $ 14 salad. Hrmph. Worst of all, in order to make a statement about the abysmal service, we tipped just under 15%, so imagine my surprise when we got the credit card statement and they added several dollars to our tip, bringing our tip to well over 20%, probably thinking we wouldn’t notice! The tasty food is the only thing that rescued this review from being only 1 star. In summary, three words: Unsanitary, Rude, and Dishonest UPDATE4÷13÷11: I received a very kind and apologetic email from the owner of the restaurant. I was assured that the issues with service will be addressed ASAP. I will not change my star rating, as this expresses my own experience, but I would not hesitate to go back to give it another try. If the service were as good as the food, it would have deserved a solid 4 stars.

What a wonderful hidden gem. Yes, the clothing and accessories in the store were way beyond my budget, but they were fun to look at. Back to the restaurant. The food was amazingly simple but good. I had the panini and salad combo and couldn’t finish it, it was so big. The salad is filling on it’s own, and will do that the next time. Can’t wait for warm weather to sit on the patio!

Someone recommended this place to me. I had never heard of it. Who would of thought you would have this great little restaurant in the back of this clothing store. And by the way unless you can afford 1,000 shoes don’t bother actually shopping there just skip over to the restaurant in the back. They have salads, quiches and paninis. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken salad and the signature panini combo. OMG, the chicken was sooooooooo good on the salad. I think next time I will just order the full salad. Dressing was a light vinaigrette that was yummy as well. The panini was also very good. It had mozzarella cheese, roma tomatoes and avocado. My friend had the garden salad that comes with avocado and the chicken quiche which she loved both as well. They have a nice patio area as well. I have heard it can get pretty busy. We got there early at 11:30 and it was starting to fill up when we left around 12:15. Of course I couldn’t help but look at the $ 3000 tops on the way out as well. Good people watching :)

I checked out this place with 3 coworkers yesterday for lunch and it was fantastic! What a great find hidden in an upscale clothing store in the Knox/Henderson neighborhood. Great place for ladies to lunch — salads, soup, paninis and quiche. I’ll be back!
