I found The Scape Artist by googling «best Brazilian wax, Dallas» and booked for that evening – I was definitely given THE best waxing I’ve ever had.
Lynne is so friendly and made me feel at ease with her talkative nature. I felt like I was at lunch with a friend rather than about to get my hair ripped off!
For the wax itself she was very fast and for me it was one of the least painful waxes I’ve ever gotten (I’ve gotten about a dozen or so). She’s been doing this for years and it shows in her work. I got a full Brazilian and was done in an hour, and I did not have one moment where I was uncomfortable under her care.
I look great, enjoyed my treatment, and will definitely be coming back again!

No, honestly. Lynne is wonderful. I found her through Groupon a few years ago and am so glad that I did! She knows what she is doing, and loves what she does. She gives me the best waxes I’ve ever gotten, and is certainly NOT out of business. She has moved locations, yes, and is a one-​woman shop, so the phone number is her cell phone and she doesn’t have anyone to answer the phone for her. She has always been incredibly responsive to me via text and phone.
As far as the quality of the waxing, she’s top notch. She uses several different types of wax to make sure that she’s using the best possible for your skin/​curves/​hair, and never double-​dips her sticks or re-​uses strips (which is important for me as far as hygiene goes). She’s fast but not clinical, and cheery while she works, which makes an awkward/​uncomfortable/​painful situation a little bit better. Her room is small but comfortable and clean, and the office she works out of is discrete and easy to get to uptown.
More than anything, though, Lynne is a great person who wants the best for her clients. She’s looked at me and sent me home to wait for a few weeks before, rather than taking my money and waxing me when I have too little hair to grab onto. She’s given me a couple of different gels or creams for ingrowns that have made HUGE differences, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin quality and hair growth.
I have been waxing since high school and as long as I live in Dallas I will go to Lynne. Slowly but surely she’ll turn me into a hairless wonder, but until then I’m absolutely loving the waxes and the results!

I have been going to Lynne for over a year now and I am very happy with her services, I originally bought the groupon deal to start with her and had no problems redeeming it. I have very light colored hair and other places I have gone I later realized I have patches of hair left on my legs when I see the sun shining on it :(, Lynne makes sure it is all GONE!

This is a scam. I bought a Groupon for this place and the location that is advertised is closed– they are out of business and moved. All the phone numbers they give you do not work and no one calls back. I booked through the internet and nothing too. BEWARE!!!

I was a customer for over two years, with standing appointments every three to four weeks. The final straw was when my last appointment was cancelled less than an hour before I was supposed to be there and never was rescheduled. Auto replies from the email address, no call backs etc. Communication has gone downhill and reliability is out the window.

Purchased a groupon for this company, called the number listed and got a, «hello.» I thought that was an odd way to answer a business phone so I asked if it was Scape Artist Waxing and the lady said yes. I asked to schedule an appointment and was told she would call me back. I never got a call back. Called and left 2 more messages before I started researching on my own to realize this business is clearly closed down. Called groupon to let them know and they said they had not had any notes to the account that they are closed down. Asked for a refund because they clearly have some shady business practices. Do not recommend and don’t buy groupon!

Lynne is absolutely wonderful. This was my first waxing experience and she made the whole thing very comfortable and easy. Lynne is so friendly and laid back. I have already recommended her to numerous people. If you are looking for someone who is passionate and does a fabulous job, Lynne is your woman.

I found her through Group on as I was still searching for an aesthetistician that had talent and knew what a Brazilian wax really was.
Lynne. Lynne. Lynne. Yes! You got it RIGHT! Firstly the sensual scents of calming waxes wafted from the room.
When you enter the room the First thing she did was put on soothing music. A plus. She used Brazilian wax (kinda reminded me of being waxed by the sister pioneers of Brazilian wax that came to NYC). *insert sniffle.
Her conversation is so welcoming and easy that you practically forget that hairs are being snatched from their roots out of your skin. I absolutely love the wax that she used. Before I knew it, she was done.
Geez. I’m a fan!

Not sure why there are no recent reviews on this. Even though the Groupon deals are available, this company is out of business.
I purchased 3x Groupon deal, but the phone number goes to a generic answering machine (you have reached 972… etc.). I received an autoreply from the website email address but no one followed up. Finally went to the business address, and the space was unoccupied (clear glass doors, looked like it was up for rent).
Groupon was not able to get in touch with the business either, and sent a refund. But the deals are still up on Groupon and Living Social! So weird. Anyway, got my money back at least.

Lynne is just the best! I had a great experience with her before I even walked in the door. We made several phone calls back and forth and she worked with my schedule to fit me into her busy schedule. I’ve been to several estheticians and she’s BY FAR the best. She works quickly and thoroughly. I will definitely be going back.
Also, if you’re a student she has a special discounted price!

I have tried many aestheticians in Dallas and this is the first time I’ve written a review, because Lynne is just that good! She is extremely thorough and really cares to make the process as quick and painless as possible. Last time she even waxed my eyebrows and it was probably the best they’ve ever looked! She does all this at a very fair price as well, so tip her extra. She deserves it.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Lynne was absolutely great and explained everything thoroughly. She even answered all of my questions with no hesitation. I will most definitely be going back here for any of my waxing needs, as well as referring anyone I can!

Lynne is great! Prices are very reasonable and buying package makes it a steal for a deal! She is professional, friendly, and gets everything done pretty fast. I have gone twice now and am planning on staying with her for my waxing services!

What a wonderfully friendly experience! Lynette was wonderful and kept me at ease during the ill-​at-​ease parts of my procedure. Her prices were reasonable and her quality was at the level of some fancy bourgeois spa!

Yesterday was my first time at the Scape Artist and I absolutely LOVED it (well as much as you can love a wax). I am originally from the East Coast and was used to my esthetician there but Lynne made me feel completely comfortable and I am sure that I will continue to go to her while living in the Dallas area. I found her using Living Social and I loved her so much that I am planning to not use my voucher for another place. Since I am a girl who loves a good deal, that is a huge deal!

My facialist recommended Lynette to me when I was getting married for my waxing. I was extremely nervous as I was a newbie to waxing and didn’t want any redness or irritation for my wedding or honeymoon. She was so professional and friendly I felt comfortable immediately. She explained what she was doing and told me how to prepare for my session in advance. It was easy breezy. I was a little surprised, I had had thoughts of me screaming in pain like a woman in labor but the most I did was flinch! I definitely plan to visit her again, her services are so much better than shaving!

Lynette is the best at what she does, she is a true professional!!! The atmosphere is clean and relaxing. She uses a variety of products and always selects the best for your skin type, she also gives you all the information on the products and what would work best for your skin.
