I started my flooring company because I saw a need for honesty and integrity within a market that was overwhelmed with flooring companies who were forgetting who they were in business for; the customer, the good people of Texas, and Americans in general.

As the CEO, David Hill, I have been building multimillion dollar schools through the public works system for 10 years and I have extreme technical and business knowledge in the construction industry. I went to school and hold a master’s degree in Public Administration with a background in Economics and Political Science.

I have obtained and mastered leadership skills from both the business and construction industry and from the many years I was in the Marine Corps and Army; (14 years all front line infantry work). I will do anything to make things right and do whatever it takes to fulfill a contract with a customer. I truly believe a man is nothing if he can’t keep his word or complete what he says he will do.

We are COMPLETELY satisfied with our new hand scraped hardwoods. Not only did David’s team do a great job, they completed the project within the promised time frame.
The crew was there every morning (except Sundays), and notified us each night when they left. They hung plastic throughout the house to minimize dust when removing the existing flooring, and rehung/​added plastic when they went to sand the floors. They were all courteous and worked like a well oiled machine.
It’s worth noting that mid project Anthony let me know that the baseboards should be raised in order to look right. He provided me a fair price, and was spot on with his advice. Additionally, the quarter round install looks great and provides a clean finished look to the baseboard.
The floors themselves look absolutely amazing. Again, Anthony advised us on the direction of the scrape as well as the color and he was right again.
I highly recommend using Texas Best Flooring for your project. We’re extremely impressed.

We are very pleased with our new floors installed by Texas Best Flooring! We replaced carpet and wood with dark hand scraped engineered wood and added on upgrade of the laundry room with tile. David Hill quickly understood what we wanted and recommended products that were just the look we wanted for a reasonable price. The work crew was very conscientious, and careful. They moved all the furniture out of 4 rooms, kept us informed of progress, were very willing to move the furniture back in the configuration I wanted, and asked several times if they could do anything else for me. They covered all windows and the kitchen with plastic and shut off the entry, stairway and upstairs to minimize dust. They vacuumed and cleaned the floors before calling the job complete. It was a big job that took most of the work week, and the result is beautiful. We are very happy. There are just a few places where there is some residue if the light is right, and David was very responsive to having another pass at cleaning. We couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

Great experience! We were in a rush to get carpet in and David worked very hard to accommodate our schedule! He was prompt on our appointment for the estimate and when we changed from wanting hard wood floors to carpeting he was able to quickly change right along with us! The installation crew did a great and clean job! Just one drawback I experienced was that he was a little slow on email responses. But all in all a great job!!! Thanks!!!

David and his team at Texas Best Flooring have been great. All the perks and personal attention you expect when choosing a smaller local company over a big corporation.
Our first home was a two story townhouse. The floor creaked constantly, and we wondered if the subfloor had issues. David and Juan spent time nailing down the floor and advising me on repairs before they placed padding. In the end it worked– we heard substantially less squeaks. The padding he suggested (Monterey) is so thick that we felt like we bounced as we walked from room to room. We sold the home a few months later and the buyers commented out loud about just how nice the new carpet and padding felt.
When our new home needed updates, we knew just who to call. David left carpet samples with us for weeks (of course, we went with Monterey padding again). When we were ready, our narrow schedule window for renovations was demanding but David and his team were very flexible. He even left the carpet unsecured at doorways (as requested) so our wood flooring team wouldn’t stain them during their work. He agreed to come back later to finish up the work at our convenience– very professional.
David looks after his customers and strives for their satisfaction, and I will refer him to friends and family anytime.

If you read my other reviews, you’ll see I pride myself on being fair and balanced and leave mostly very positive feedback. I don’t like giving 1 star reviews to local businesses. That being said, I wish I had paid more money for a quality job. David is a salesman — period. He then chooses from other flooring companies to get the work done, so what he promises and what you are delivered are not the same. Our house was built in 1996, so I was thinking this should be a fairly simple job.
Our baseboards look HORRIBLE. There’s caulking in random sections in all of our house and sloppily laid baseboards that are crooked (see pictures). We informed David, and his contractor removed the caulking from one wall in one room when we asked for it to be removed from every wall. The worst part is we paid $ 900 for new quality baseboards from him.
David is constantly hours late, doesn’t answer calls, and is rude. He admits no fault and basically shrugged off our subpar baseboard job. All he said was he agreed there shouldn’t have been caulking, and we could opt to pay for additional quater rounds to cover it up, but why would we need to do that if we’re getting brand new boards? That was not even brought up before we paid. All we wanted was the caulking removed and the baseboards to be even.
Awful customer service. I would never use «his» company again.

Absolutely wonderful job. David and his crew were punctual and actually finished one day early! They transformed the inside of our new house into something much nicer than it was previously. He showed up and did all the measuring and gave me an estimate on the very same day that I called. His crew went to work the next day. Floors and carpet are beautiful and all of Davids personal recommendations were spot on. Customer service was also prompt and he was willing to take my repeated calls and reassure me when I had concerns and questions. I would recommend his services to others.

I originally went to Lowes for an estimate and also called Empire and both were $ 1300.00 more for less quality carpet/​padding. I was nervous about calling Texas best carpet because they were not a chain. The owner made an appointment at my house and brought about 20 samples. Very punctual. He gave his opinion on the samples describing how to tell the different levels of quality. Never was he pushy. He was very detailed and honest in pricing. We waited 2 days then called back. His installer called 2 days later and came the following day to install.
His installer Juan was right on time and went straight to work upon arriving. Juan took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I cannot see a seam or one mistake. Juan asked me to look it over for mistakes before being paid. Everything was awesome. Price, process and installation.
The only complaint and it was minor, was the samples were small and if I wanted to see more I could meet him at his at the warehouse. The selection he brought was plenty for us. We plan on using them again soon to complete the rest of our house. Would definitely recommend to friends and neighbors.

I got lucky in simply finding Texas Best Flooring on an internet search. Unlike some other contractors asked to provide a quote, David was punctual to keep an appointment for a quote. He is a dynamo, taking precise measurements (not just generalized estimates), for wood flooring, carpeting and tile installation. His knowledge was exhaustive and he proved to be a reliable and trustworthy businessman. My only disappointment was not having the carpet sample I had selected available at the time of installation (it had sold out!). I was able to select an alternative, but not one that I liked as much.
The installation went fairly smoothly and I was very pleased with the outcome. With his help, I was able to sell this property after only 2.5 days on the market. A full-​price, cash offer at that

So, David is an extremely confident dude and has very strong opinions about just about everything, especially other flooring companies. I was a little skeptical after I got off the phone with him but made an appointment for him to come and measure later that evening to get a carpet estimate.
Right off the bat, he didn’t seem like a typical «sales person.» Told me everything straight, to the point, no BS. As I was a first time home buyer, just starting out, he was able to work with my budget and figure out ways to cut down costs a little here and there without compromising on quality. He had his installer come out the very next day without even asking for any form of payment. His installer was extremely forthcoming as well. He informed me my current pad was only a few years old, in great condition, and even better than the one he had brought. Therefore it would be smarter for me to just use the old one, saving me another couple hundred bucks. I honestly would have never known and would have paid for the new pad if he hadn’t told me.
And the BEST part is this new carpet I have is freaking amazing. I want to roll around in it… seriously. It’s so plush, dense, and soft, my vacuum cleaner almost gets stuck in it, and I got it at an unbelievable price. David has connections with various warehouses and carpet peeps, and he can get his hands on amazing pieces for dirt cheap prices. Also, he’s the owner of the company, so he can make you deals other carpet companies can’t and basically do… whatever he wants. He’s not the conventional pushy salesman; he’s smart, to the point, and will get things done.

David is amazing. I needed tiles to finish my construction and it was holding the whole remodel. Called him, he took money out of his pocket and placed the order without invoicing me just to meet my timeline. Next day when I was calling him to get the UPS tracking number, I just saw the guys delivering the tiles to my front door! It was that THE FLASH!!! Best price, customer service and delivery… and I just did 3000 sq. ft of hardwood and 1000 sq. ft of porcelain in my house…

These guys are the best! My fiancée and I just moved into a new place, so we were in a rush to get everything ready for our furniture. We called for an estimate on a Friday and by Saturday, we were walking on our plush new carpet. They did a great job giving recommendations based on our needs and even threw in some free upgrades. Prices were reasonable and the whole thing looks great. Highly recommended!

After several calls to other flooring companies, most of which went unanswered and unreturned, I called Texas Best Flooring. They are reliable, showing up when they said they would, responsive and did a great job. They had to grind down the stained concrete (muy messy), but were very intent on doing the job the right way. It cost less than I thought it would. I recommend them.

just can’t believe everything I have gone through with this people. That makes me doubt that many of the reviews are legitimate. They are probably one of those companies who get employees and close ones to write good reviews for them. I was looking to install tile on my small 37 sf porch. I made an appointment for an estimate with Texas Best Flooring Company, and no one showed up until I called to remind them. Almost two hours later, David the owner came. He seemed friendly and helpful. He told me this was a small job, and he recommended working with James. I had purchased slate from Home Depot, and David recommended eleganzza slate looking porcelain tile. When I contacted James, we agreed on doing it on Sunday. I had to change the appointment because I did not have the recommended tile yet. David promised to send me a link to the store that sells it, but he never did. James told me it was fine and that he could do the job on Thursday, so, I went shopping for the tile, and called Wednesday evening twice to confirm Thursday’s appointment. I got Josey, James’ brother twice on the phone and he said he would tell James to call me back. James never called back. I get a call from James Thursday at 8:11am, and he sounded like he dialed the wrong person, and in a very shy nervous voice he told me he would come in 30 minutes. He never showed up or called. I called the company to see if they could get a hold of him, and sometime later he returned my call and apologized and said he would come first time Friday morning. Guess what? He did not show up, and no courtesy call has been given as i type. I have been losing too many mornings waiting for this clown. I just decided to share my experience and move on. I got my handy man to match the price and he will be using Father’s Day morning to do this job for me.

I have used several contractors and sub cons on remodeling projects and David and his company was one of the easiest companies to work with. I needed a carpet installation and the quality of choices and installation was superb.
I only had a small window for the install and David was able to accommodate. He brought me some selections and in a couple of days his crew was there for the installation. David was very upfront about my options, telling me the pros and cons, and letting me decide instead of being a pushy salesman. He explained what I needed, what I didn’t, and what was done right and wrong with the previous carpet installation.
I’m very pleased with the results and highly recommend Texas Best Flooring company to anyone looking.
