I didn’t actually make it into the groomer to see how their services turned out, but I was so perturbed on the phone I decided it wasn’t worth it.
I bought the groupon for the «dog grooming package» which was supposed to include a full body grooming. Upon calling to book I was told the groupon did not include a haircut. Arguably that’s on me because it was listed in the fine print apparently – I hadn’t seen it when I bought the groupon. The lady on the phone then insists it’s all groupon’s fault. I asked if I could pay an additional fee to have my dog cut and was told no. Then I was told I could instead buy a full groom instead of using the groupon I had purchased for this business.
HERE IS THE REASON I SPENT TIME TO WRITE THIS STUPID REVIEW: at one point in the conversation the lady had the audacity to tell me that if I looked up the word «groom» in the dictionary it does not say haircut. Okay – fine. I don’t need to be in a linguistic battle to get my dog groomed – I took her somewhere with open (and not condescending) business practices.

Do these people board? Pet sit? Groom? It sounds like this place just sells dogs, most likely from the mills. I think the categories used are deceptive. By looking at the reviews, I would think that isn’t the only thing.

Discount coupons on puppy purchases? Daily price reductions on available pups to make room for upcoming litters? Price tags starting at $ 1000 and going upwards of $ 15k for «true» teacup puppies – and mind you, these are «Pet quality» mixed-​breed dogs, not even purebred show dogs? Lifetime replacement guarantees only on full price purchases? Required pickup times of 2 – 4 hours after you submit your «adoption» applications (for the internet discount priced pups)? Just because this business can display a celebrity splash page of their «famous» clients is no endorsement that those people can care properly for their dogs.
Dogs are not fashion accessories. Capitalizing on how rare a pup is based on size or color makes it clear that these folks are only in it for the money.
If you or someone you love is serious about getting a dog, consider what it takes to make a 10 – 15 year commitment to a living, breathing creature. And if after much consideration you’re ready to make that lifestyle change, then do your research, go to a rescue or shelter and find your lifelong companion. Steer clear of these puppy mill greeders.

I bought a cute as a button little Teacup Malti-​poo from Becky at Texas Teacups. We named her Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, since that is where she came from, and Lyndy is a sweet little girl.
Our plan from the get go was to purchase a second dog from Texas Teacups and breed our Malti-​poo.
Lyndy did grow to be larger than we had expected, therefore Becky agreed to reduce the price of a second dog (or stud services) to compensate us since we had not received exactly what we had expected.
We opted to purchase sperm from Texas Teacups for artifical insemination. While we were waiting for Lyndy to go into heat, we found out that she had a luxating patella which would need to be surgically repaired. In May of 2008 we had Lyndy’s knee repaired. The cost of the surgery took all the money we had set aside for the purchase of a male dog and then some. Because of the knee issue Lyndy is not a suitable candidate for breeding and we were strongly encouraged to spay her at the time of the knee surgery.
Becky has said that they will provide another dog for us since Lyndy has not turned out to be what we had expected. At this time, Texas Teacups has not had a dog that has come available to replace Lyndy.
I will repost when and if we receive our replacement dog. Till then I would have to give them only 3 stars. Lyndy is a great pet however we had intended from the beginning to breed her. We had friends in line to purchase her puppies and we were really looking forward to sharing this experience with our young children.

Texas Teacups is where I got my super adorable chihuahua, Dupree, back in June. Even if you aren’t looking for a puppy and need a cute fix — go to their website — they have (usually a bunch of) pictures of all the available puppies (and even the sold ones) on their website with info about that particular puppy.
In addition to Chihuahuas (long and short haired) they also have Maltese, Maltipoos, Yorkies, Morkies and sometimes other breeds as well. I’ve gotten a ridiculous amount of comments about how adorable Dupree is — even people that don’t like chihuahuas or small dogs normally love him!
You might have heard of them before because a bunch of celebrities got their little dogs from here. Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Kevin Harvick, Ciara, Rhianna, Brady Quinn, Ashley Tisdale, Blake Lievly and some others.
The girls at Texas Teacups were really sweet and they even held my little puppy overnight while I made my final decision (like there was a chance I wasn’t going to get him!).
If you are looking for a super cute little dog then I’d say go here — but check with a dog rescue first! They might have a perfect little puppy in need of a home for you!!! But if not — then go here, they are expensive, but I think he was worth it.
