The fact that they could move me last minute to Houston because my other movers were so unprofessional and late so I canceled on them, I will give them another star. The two guys the owner Mac sent were so slow. They got lost coming to my house because one guy didn’t know how to use his GPS. Then they were about to move my white leather couch without even wrapping it up. I had to tell them to wrap it! One guy said he didn’t know how and he’s new to moving. Like what?! I had to help them wrap most of my furniture because they were moving so slow. He was nice and worked hard but still. The move into the house in Houston was swift and quick. It rained hard that day and it took me 5 hours to get there but the truck still arrived when I did so that was good. Nothing broke BUT when I used my washing machine, it flooded my entire kitchen and some of the living room because I was upstairs!!! I was so pissed. They didn’t connect the drain pipe. They told me everything was good to go! And he didn’t even email or call me back to apologize! I tipped them well too. Maybe look somewhere else

Matt is absolutely amazing! This is my second time using him. I needed him to move a washer and dryer from one place to another and he did it no questions asked! His prices are great as well. He charged me same thing both times even though his prices have gone up. I will be definitely using him again!

I am giving them 3 stars merely for the fact that they were able to move me on the same day and within a couple of hours, but that’s all.
I told them that I had a 1500 sqft 2-​bedroom/​2-​bathroom apartment, and the 2^nd bedroom was my office and did not have 2 beds. He assured me that the truck they had would be big enough for all of my belongings and would only take one trip. It took them 2 trips to move all of my belongings to my storage unit and no one told me that they didn’t get all of my stuff until I told them I was about to leave. No one called me and told me and I wonder if they would have even told me had I not commented that I had a client booked. If I didn’t mention it and they didn’t tell me, I would have left when they went back to pickup the last load and they would have been locked out of the storage unit.
Also when it came time for payment, I was informed by the movers and NOT the person whom I spoke with that booked the move that they only take cash. Thankfully they allowed me to pay part of it with credit card and the other part with cash. I’m only able to withdrawal $ 400 a day out of the ATM.
If the move wasn’t last minute I would have asked more questions and compared more movers.

The worst moving experience! I hired 3 guys for 3 hours, it took them 2 hours to load my small one bedroom apartment contents into a truck which should have only taken collectively 1 – 1 ½ hours tops. One guy pretty much just stood around and watched the other 2 work. I eventually told them to stop because I knew I was going to go over my 3 hour time frame leaving multiple boxes still in my apartment that I had to move myself. They complained about having to lug my washer and dryer up to the third floor of my townhouse which I get that it sucks but that’s your job and the reason I hired you guys in the first place. They messed up my couch from it being dragged across the concrete, the entire top of my dresser was scratched, and the legs on my dining room table were scratched. They were also using a furniture dolly to move my washer and dryer from my second story apartment to the truck, before another guy helped get it downstairs they were basically bouncing it off the stairs and now my dryer no longer dries. They also did this with quite a few boxes as well, thank goodness I packed my glasses well and left my delicate glass in my apartment for me to move myself. I will definitely be taking this as a lesson learned, for as stressful as moving already is they certainly didn’t help at all. I do not recommend at all and suggest looking elsewhere for quality movers.

To say my experience with Strongarm Services, LLC has been terrible would be an understatement. I am still currently trying to get my situation resolved. However, with the lack of communication on their part has limited my ability to do that. Now, I am currently having to utilize the proper channels in order to get my situation resolved. The following are only SOME of the many issues I have had to date:
To begin, the movers arrived over a hour late to my home without the proper materials in order to move my things. They claimed they couldn’t move a love-​seat out of the same door it was moved-​in through. It seemed a bit contradictory for the name of the company to be Strongarm when the crew they originally sent to move my things weren’t strong enough to move the love-​seat out of the living room to the garage. I was also told lies by the ‘lead’ mover which immediately caused a lack of trust with the moving company. Mac (who seems to be a manager of some sort) sent another mover to bring the missing supplies, only for the additional mover to leave the needed supplies behind. I feel this was a tactic to prolong the time, as they charge by the hour.
Upon arriving at the new location and getting the items moved-​in, there was EXCESSIVE damage to my belongings. Now, the company has failed to return ALL of my phone calls and is appearing to avoid me at all costs. I advise everyone to NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Strongarm service was great. The two guys moving me out of my apartment were very nice and presentable. All of my belongings were well cared for and arrived in great shape. I would use them again.

I called around to have a washer/​dryer set moved from one apartment to another, under 1.5 miles in distance, all elevator buildings. Strongarm gave me the lowest quote, and came through. On the day of the move, they told me they were running late, but they ended up being only about 15 off schedule. They actually picked up the set and had it at the destination before I realized they were even there. They were able to set everything up and were really nice and polite. Based on my experience I’d definitely recommend them for a small move like mine.

Appointment setup was fairly easy; I agree with S. P, however, regarding them being late and never calling to notify or even to confirm the appointment for that matter. They were friendly and did a good job moving all my stuff; very professional. On top of that, I was able to set up my appointment only a day or two in advance. Overall recommendation.

Due to our continuing discontent with the apartments we were living at, we decided to finally get out and move to a better place. But since it was only 9 months earlier that I called my friends to come help us move, I really want to go a different route and hire movers for the first time.
Now, what I didn’t realize is how hard it would be to chose the right company as it seemed like every moving company in Dallas was known for subpar service. Thanks to Unilocal,I found Strongarm Delivery & Moving and after a reassuring conversation with Mac, I hired them for our moved on April 1^st.
Start time was going to be 8am and the morning of we get a call from Mac letting us know that due to traffic, he was running late. Appreciated the heads up since we were doing some last minute packing. He finally got in and he and his 2 workers got right to work. They managed to clear out & move over 25 boxes (ranging in all sizes) in about 20 mins!
The workers were pleasant and very courteous and made sure to wrap our furniture carefully so there wouldn’t be any damage. What I also really appreciated was no cell phone breaks & no smoking. They came in professionally and took care of business. They even helped take apart and set up our baby’s crib and our bed with no complaint. While it did take a bit longer than I expected (which obviously would cost more) I had no problem paying them accordingly due to the outstanding service they provided. Dallas and any surrounding cities, if you need quality movers at a decent and fair price, give Mac at Strongarm a call. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I recently used Strongarm to moving my household items from a moving truck into my home. (They did not actually transport my furnishings.)
Setting up the appointment was fairly simple, and the owner, Mac, was flexible about the appointment given that I did not know the specific time of day the shipment would arrive. He was easily accessible via phone and e-​mail.
The two movers arrived over a half hour later than the appointment window scheduled. The two gentlemen were very friendly and presentable; however, they needed a lot of supervision and help. I spent the first 35 minutes unloading the truck by myself. They would carry a box or two as I handed them to them.
They picked up the pace a little, but they took lots of small breaks to take phone calls and text. Furthermore, on several occasions while I was in the truck unloading, they were in the house waiting for me to direct them where put the one or two boxes they picked up. Regardless, many of the boxes did not make it to the correct rooms.
They also seemed to lack experience. They had extreme difficulty getting some of the furniture just through the front door (normal size) — not to mention the things that went up the stairs. I’ve moved the same furniture several times, and never had to provide an ounce of help/​guidance — I was sore the next day from helping these guys. This lack of experience resulted in a lot of marks deep scratches in the walls, which was on top of lots of black hand prints in various places on the walls.
Several items of furniture were damaged slightly to moderately despite being wrapped. I understand sometimes this happens, but it shouldn’t happen when I’m providing assistance. They also neglected to tell me they damaged the items.
I stopped them after 3.5 hours. This was to move a large 1 bedroom from a truck parked outside into a large townhome. This wouldn’t be too bad if I only had to direct them — not do the heavy lifting, and the boxes made it to the correct rooms (a quarter were left in the garage). As a comparison the move from the originating condo took 4.5 hours and included having to1) wait for an elevator; 2) drive 25 minutes to a shipping terminal; then 3) very carefully load the goods into a larger truck with very little help from me.
Lastly, I never heard back from Mac after relaying information and pictures of the damage. I might have been willing to give a higher rating if I had at least gotten a response.

I was very impressed with the service given by this company. Strong arm Services is a professional moving company with only a few minor issues.
I took away one star because I found their client communication limited.
I was not informed they would be late (mechanical issues) and I had to track them down to figure out why they were running late. Later I was phoned by the driver with more updates as I waited for them to arrive with a new truck, which was great.
However, I did call them the day before to suggest rescheduling because I was not sure I’d be ready and no one returned my call. They need an answering service to take client calls and they need to get their website back up and running because it would be a shame if all of these issues added up to the loss of a sale. The company was great, but the competition for inner city movers is tough here, so be the best you can be!

Note: this company advertises primarily on Craigslist. Do your homework when deciding on a mover. I chose Strongarm because of the good reviews, a good bbb rating, and their license/​insurance numbers were immediately handed out upon first communication.
