Needed to get my state inspection done. In and out in less than 15 min! I’ve never had such a quick service!

These guys are great! I needed a «31 point inspection» to get my Über driver’s City of Dallas car for hire permit.
I was in and out of there in 10 minutes with all the proper paperwork filled out.
And, they were the cheapest of all the City of Dallas’ authorized «31 point» inspection stations!
They charged just $ 50.00 compared to as much as $ 100.00 at other inspection stations.
I’ll definitely be back for my car’s regular state inspection next May.

Been coming here for a few years. No hassle state inspection by friendly people. You can be in and out in 10 minutes and the staff is always happy and smiling. Simple process for a simple thing.

Honest local business that ONLY does inspection which cuts down on the waiting time! I had 3 people in front of me when I walked in but still left 20 minutes later which was impressive. They are super friendly and quick! After trying multiple times with no luck to get an inspection done from Pep Boys and Firestone, I in frustration, did a Unilocal search for inspections from the Pep Boys parking lot and found this place. As soon as I walked in, I was attended to. The person attending me was very friendly and had me in and out in less than 20 minuets. He even told me of an alternative location I could go to instead of me having to go to the tax office downtown to get my registration sticker. I will definitely come back here for future inspections.

I took «in and out in 10 – 15 minutes» with a grain of salt, but these gentlemen really finished in 10 minutes. I hate having to do inspections and anything else to do with car maintenance so the less time I spend in car places the better. Another plus, my total was $ 35 with coolant and steering fluid added to the bill. Overall, I had an exceptional experience and recommend this place to everyone!

I’ve brought two of my cars here today for state inspections and they have been super quick, even though there are several other customers having the same done all at once. If you need your car inspected and don’t like waiting, bring it here! Service is great!

I’ve been coming here since I first moved to Dallas and they are always great. They were really helpful with the transition from out-​of-​state to Texas registration and made it a relatively painless process. The guys here are always friendly and the service is always quick, even when I’ve had a few people in front of me. They also have different parts available (windshield wipers, for example) to bring your vehicle up to code if needed.
The location is close to my job, so it’s typically convenient for me to stop here. It’s also worth the trip across town, even on days I’m not headed to work though, since there are so many shops and restaurants not that far away.

What a great find — an honest «inspection only» business that gets you in and out in 15 – 20 minutes. A great convenience; friendly staff, and — at least in my case — no scam upselling of unnecessary services. They have earned my trust and future business.

After searching Unilocal to find a place between work and home that does state inspections hassle-​free, I decided to try Quix because of all the great reviews.
I stopped in today at about 4:45 PM as the only other person there was checking out. Nice. The waiting room wasn’t fancy but it did have A/​C, a TV, and apparently WiFi (per the sign on the door). My car was driven into the bay promptly and I was in-​and-​out within about 15 minutes. No hassles whatsoever and very friendly service! Definitely my most expedient and pleasant state inspection to date — highly recommend.

After my husband has attempted 3x to get his vehicle to pass inspection at this site, I have to decrease my rating. I had a great experience but he has not.
The first time, it was his error because his check engine light was on. Fair enough. Second time he was told that his white backup light was out so they would not finish the inspection and pass it. Per DPS, I don’t see it listed anywhere that the white backup lights are a required part of the state inspection (
– brake lights, tail lights, and turn lights are listed but not backup lights) and another inspection facility we have taken vehicles to in Plano confirmed that. He replaced the bulb anyway and took the vehicle back in a third time. Now they state they would not finish the inspection because a part of the piece of the tail light was broken off. It’s been that way now for over 3 years and we have never had an issue getting it inspected.
I’m not sure what the deal is, but neither of us will be returning to this location in the future, unfortunately. It was a convenient location but I would rather drive up to Plano where we know it is truly hassle-​free to get our vehicles inspected.

There’s really not much to say about state inspections in Texas. Nobody likes them and we all know every year we have to take a lunch to go spend $ 40 on getting your emissions checked out on your ride. I doubt it’s something anyone looks forward to, other than maybe a shiny new sticker on the corner of your windshield.
Quix State Inspection makes the experience a breeze. While their sister shop next door does offer basic maintenance service like oil changes and routine service, the Quix State side strictly does state inspections. I’ve been coming here for 4 – 5 years and it’s always my go-​to for inspections. I highly recommend going during the week, like an early lunch hour, and you’ll be in and out in 15 minutes. The guys at the front are very nice and will help get you out of there in no time.
Don’t waste your time at some random repair shop that will try and up sell you on stuff you don’t need. Quix State will get you in and out with that shiny new corner sticker in no time!
