Psycho Gym

If you’re looking for an intense workout with excellent trainers, a team atmosphere, and a variety of equipment (kettle bells, TRX, battle ropes, free weights), then look no further. The routine changes daily and can be altered to accommodate an individual’s limitations. Trainers Travis, Nick, Jonathan, and Sergio clearly know how to motivate and are good about correcting your form to avoid injuries. I am totally addicted and I can’t imagine myself getting a better workout at any other gym!

As a member for 4 years now, I’m addicted. I could never go to a plain gym again much less spend time on a boring piece of cardio equipment. Each day is a new workout that will push you passed your limits but still great for all fitness levels. Must be motivating to get me up at 5am and this is the place thanks to Nick, Travis and Jen!

I’d been wanting to check this place out for a while and saw an online post for a 21 day challenge and decided it was time. The workout is no joke. I was sore for the first two weeks. I’m not a gym rat, but I’m pretty active and when one area recovered the soreness moved to another. Keep in mind they recommend going at least 5 days a week for the challenge which doesn’t leave a lot of recovery time. I can see why people get hooked. The workouts use kettle bells, ropes, rings, lots of body weight moves and you do group training in stations which keeps things interesting, plus I dig the music. The location is easy to get to — not far off the highway from downtown and deep Ellum. The building is renovated in an industrial area and has ample space with a gritty ambiance that’s great for getting sweaty. Just wish I hadn’t waited so long to join

I’ve been coming here for 2 and half years and I can never go to a regular gym ever again. The workouts are a true test of will and you feel like a badass after every class. The people are awesome and everyone is really encouraging. The workouts never get easier, but you definitely get stronger. I literally bring everyone I know to a class and got my entire family and fiancé to join! If that isn’t a testament to this gym’s awesomeness, then I don’t know what is!

Perfect gym to work on your conditioning. It’s a kettlebell focused workout that targets cardio and strength training. Two locations, Deep Ellum and Addison. The owners Travis and Jen are always around and know all their clients by name. Their lead trainer Nick is great at explaining all the exercises. Be ready to put your blood, sweat and tears in your workouts. ;)

Psycho Gym is great for all fitness levels. I came to Psycho Gym after not working out for months, and was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep up. Staff demonstrated modified versions of exercises and continuously pushed me to keep improving. I recommended the gym to a co-​worker and he is just as hooked as I am. They focus on different muscles daily so I am able to go a few days in a row and get my time & monies worth.

I’ve not been addicted to a gym like I have this one in years… as a former collegiate athlete and within the fitness/​nutrition industry I’ve seen just about every fad there is… and Psycho has quickly become part of my lifestyle. The workouts are constantly changing and always keep me challenged and engaged… and my fellow psychos have become my gym family… always holding each other accountable to show up and do some major work.
I have noticed a change in my body, my strength, my mood and so much more… seriously, come check it out… At the very least you’ll get to see Dakota… but really you’ll also get one of the best workouts of your life.

I have been working out at Psycho Gym for a bit over a year now and I have to say it is absolutely worth every cent! The training staff are great and keep you on your toes with ever changing and challenging workouts, the members are welcoming and friendly and the results are amazing. I feel better, sleep better and eat better. Don’t let the name intimidate you, try it, give them a month and you will be hooked, I know I was.

I am visiting from Franklin, Tennessee and was looking for a place to work out while I was in town. I dropped by this gym and was able to get in a great workout with Nick. He was very perceptive about my fitness level and weaknesses and worked with me throughout the workout to make sure my form was correct and that I was getting maximum return for my effort. What I loved about this gym is that like my home gym (Quest Performance) the structure of the workout here works for both beginners and the most advanced. Thanks Psycho for a great on the road workout! I bought a tank top to rep you guys in Tennessee! I will definitely be back every time I visit DALLAS!
