Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuits

While I’ve always loved Popeye’s food, the staff seems a little lacking, including the manager. As I’ve been sitting here for the last 15 minutes waiting for my to-​go order, another guy had to come in from the drive through line because they’d messed up his order more than once, and HE’S been waiting for 15 minutes. The manager has gotten involved, and she wouldn’t even offer a simple apology for his inconvenience, much less some sort of compensation. And it’s not like they’re slammed or short on staff either; there’s like 6 people back there!
Anyway, I finally got my order, and the girl actually did apologize to me for the wait. And of course, the food is great!

Horrible! Went through the drive through and got substandard food. Literally got four bites of food off of the chicken breast, and could not eat the wing. The wing was cold and only breading. I called the manager and even though I kept telling her my order number, she couldn’t find the ticket. Then told me, «There wasn’t nothing she could do about it,» because I was not willing to drive back to the store. Well, there is something I can do about it – Never step foot in there again. Pathetic…

The worst chicken I’ve ever eaten! No flavor & no crust! We ordered the 10 piece & got 4 wings, 3 legs, 1 breast & 2 thighs! We ordered spicy & was just regular chicken! Go to churches or KFC don’t waste your money on this place!!!

The food here is good. One of my favorite fast food restaurants. I’ve only ever used the drive through but the food comes out quickly and is always fresh and hot and right the first time.

Just like the last review left, if I could give negative stars I would. Lucky for them I have to leave something so one star it is.
I was in the area and was craving their mashed potatoes so I stopped here to get some except in my bag I found rice and beans. First off, mashed potatoes and rice and beans sound nothing the same so how they got my order wrong makes no absolute sense to me.
Customer service? Yeah, that’s a joke. They’re not friendly the least bit and it honestly seems like they could care less about anything.
I would never ever ever come here again even if was the only place open and I was starving. I’d rather drive down to the next exit and eat elsewhere because that’s how crappy this place is. Can’t even take the right order and the service was awful.

If I could give negative stars, I would… I went on a Tuesday night around 8:00. I went inside to order because they ALWAYS screw up your order through the drive thru. I ordered 3 boxes each with 2-​piece white meat. The cashier said «We don’t have any white meat.» I told her to «go make some then.» Then she said «I mean, we don’t have any.» I said «you have to f_​_​_​_​ing kidding me. PATHETIC.» and walked out. It is always pretty bad here. It is dirty, gross and I really think they do an IQ test for employees and don’t hire anyone with over a 70. I will say that the old one on Preston near LBJ that shut down was REALLY bad, and this one is very close to that one…

The people working there were very nice, but the store did seem a little disjointed. I think there may have been a few people training and there was at least one huge pick up order in front of us, so that can make things hard. Their chicken strips are good. The spicy strips were particularly spicy but were good. Their gravy was awesome and had a good Louisiana kick to it. I don’t normally eat a ton of fried chicken but theirs is pretty good.

Dirty but good service. The manager was extremely courteous and friendly. Fountain drink area filled with ketchup and residue with no napkins in sight. Bottom of my cup got soiled from getting ice. Waited 13 minutes got my order while discreetly asking for a new cup. Trash smelled rancid while I waited during lunch hour. Why???

Unorganized staff that messed up our order. Good was ok but frustrating experience trying to get what we asked for

The manager talked to his employees very rudely. The nice young lady was my cashier. Her name started with an L. I wish people would treat people like they would want to be treated.

I know what you’re thinking. Who the hell leaves reviews at Popeyes?! Somebody who saves money on Tuesday. I just go for the 2 piece special for 1.49. Be careful when using the faucet. The pressure is really strong and I almost left the bathroom looking like I pissed my pants.

When I went, they were out of unsweet tea and coleslaw. Those two items are a must for me when it comes to pairing it with fried chicken and biscuits. Anyways, when I got to the front window and found out half the items I wanted weren’t available, I told them I wanted to cancel my order. I wasn’t annoyed, just figured I can go somewhere else. The guy told me to take my order for free, because he felt bad I couldn’t even get the basics. I had begrudgingly replaced my unavailable coleslaw with red beans and rice but not having unsweet tea seemed a little crazy to me. I thought that was nice of him as all he said was «sorry this happened, but i hope you will come back.» I even told him I wasn’t pissed and they can keep the food, but he insisted. I thought it was very cool of him and I definitely will go back. But they better have their basic menu items next time… :)
And, of course, the food was as expected. Nothing spectacular, but it was exactly the Popeye’s standard flavor.

Service always suck. Never give ketchup. If I ask, they gave me a few doesn’t matter how much chicken I bought. 1^st time had a combo meal today. What a rip off. Combo is like $ 8.32 with tax. What I got in the box is not $ 8.32 worth of food. I can get a better deal and service in a seat down restaurant. Chicken breast is smaller and they stole top half of it. Cheater.

Just had a late night fried shrimp craving. Who is open? POPEYES BE OPEN AT 10:30 pm !!!
Red beans and Rice, fries, biscuit, shirmp, Orange soda. Oh you gotta be kidding me.

Every time I’m craving fried chicken, this is where I go. There’s a KFC not too far from here, but as a former KFC employee I prefer Popeye’s spicy fried chicken with red beans and rice.
The staff here is more friendly than not, and other than some off-​tasting chicken strips I got here once, the chicken is always hot and fresh, even late at night! Once I had to wait about 5 minutes for the chicken to get ready, but that wasn’t so bad.
