Larry Sandlin – State Farm Insurance Agent

After I moved from VA to TX I needed to find local State Farm agent. My former agent recommended a local agent who gave a quote that was $ 150 higher than I was paying in VA. I was shocked to says the least. She then went to explain how TX rates are higher than in VA. I get that, but what on Earth can justify $ 150 hike?! I decided to continue my search and found Larry who handled my request perfectly. I got my TX policy for only $ 25 higher that I used to pay. Great Agent!

Larry Sandlin, himself, and most of his staff are actually very nice and helpful. State Farm as a whole however, is only great as long as you don’t actually have to use them. We used to have auto and home insurance through them, but dropped the auto a few years back. Two years ago we had a terrible misfortune of having our house broken into and multiple high-​value electronics and jewelry items stolen. I think having to deal with State Farm’s claim department might have been almost as painful as the actual experience of being robbed.
We were reimbursed for BARELY a third of the estimated value of the stolen items-​pitiful! Luckily we had some money saved and were able to replace some of the items. I can’t even imagine how some people who are not as fortunate might be able to get back on their feet– they certainly wouldn’t get the help from State Farm. And now they have increased our annual premium by almost a 100%. So we are being punished for being violated… hmmm. Time to look elsewhere for coverage!
