Hands down the best street style tacos in Richardson. Tacos are served on corn tortillas with cilantro, onions, and sliced radishes. Somewhat hard location to find(they are inside a gas station), they are really designed for you to just pick up your tacos and take them home. You could dine in but there is only space for like 4 people. Also you would be dining literally inside a gas station beside el rancho. I had beef, pork, beef tongue. All three were delicious. They also offer a wider variety of cuts of beef and pork but I like to stick to the tried and true when I try a new taco joint. I am a huge street style Mexican taco. Last time I had a truly authentic taco was at Tacos La Banqueta over in Dallas or at fuel city near down town. This is so much closer now that I live in Richardson and the price is cheap and they also give sliced radishes!

Tried the pork, chicken and beef; all were delightful to the palate. If you like street tacos, put this one on your list.

These are by far the best street tacos that I’ve had since moving to dallas! The location might through you off a little because it actual restaurant is inside the gas station. It’s tucked in the corner with 4 ladies behind the counter making great food. The cheek tacos are awesome! The seasoning is spot on. They’re tender and juicy. what more can you ask for. My favorite: the chicken tacos. My mouth is watering just typing this in! It’s something about the marinade/sauce?! It’s wonderfully delicious. It makes my taste buds sing! I’d definitely recommend this littlespot to anyone and everyone.

Something to Taco ‘Bout If you love or would like to try delicious and authentic Mexican«Street-Style» tacos, then you should definitely visit La Taqueria La Salsa Verde. This place is one of the very few genuine Mexican restaurants I have been able to find that sells freshly made beef tacos, quesadillas, and tortas, which is a type of sandwich. They offer four different types of salsa, each one spicier than the last, and garden-fresh onions, cilantro, and limes. La Salsa Verde is a family owned business of a family from Mexico. They brought this cuisine to three different locations; one in Dallas, Richardson, and Plano. The Plano and Richardson locations are actually found inside of gas stations. They can get pretty cramped during rush hour, so it may be better to get it to-go. The taqueria in Dallas is its own place and much larger than the other two although I prefer the Plano location(on K ave and Parker rd) because it’s the closest one to my home and the employees have great customer service. Every time I walk in they have a smile on their face and sometimes play lively music that really improves the environment considering they are inside a gas station. Unlike Taco Bueno and other such establishments that hide their kitchen and cooking behind closed doors, La Salsa Verde prepares the food for all to see. Customers can easily watch the cooks over the counter as they cook and chop up the meat, fill up the tortillas, and sprinkle the colorful veggies on top. The meat is actually cooked«al vapor» meaning it is steamed using water vapor which gives it a much more tender, juicy and savory taste. The meat doesn’t come into contact with the water but the vapor lets its natural flavors and nutrients to remain. Steaming is also a much faster alternative that saves energy and doesn’t require much or any cooking oil or grease. The types of meat vary from beef head, cheek, tongue, fajita, chorizo, pork chop, chicken breast, and much more. The tortillas used for the quesadillas are handmade in the restaurant and cooked on the flat stove. Once the food arrives, everyone may use any of the four salsas at their disposal. The green salsa, which is the spiciest salsa, is the most popular, hence the restaurant’s name. However the avocado salsa is my personal favorite which isn’t as spicy as the green one but hot enough to make things interesting. They also have a delicious red salsa and a «cacahuate» salsa which means peanut salsa, so if you are allergic to peanuts steer clear of the dark red bottle labeled«cacahuate.» The tacos are also surprisingly filling despite their rather small size. There is also the option of buying horchata, a traditional and refreshing Latin American beverage made from ground almonds, tiger nuts, or rice into a flavorful milky drink. If horchata doesn’t sound as appealing then you can just as easily purchase a soda or any other beverage usually found in the gas station. The Dallas location, the one that isn’t inside a gas station, also offers a variety of sodas and beer for your convenience. The only pet peeve of mine is they usually skimp on limes, especially for to-go orders, so make sure to ask for extra! Besides tacos, tortas, and quesadillas, La Salsa Verde also offers some deserts such as tres leches, a moist and milky cake, and flan, which is like a sponge cake with a sweet filling. This place is also very affordable. Rather than spending $ 12 at a Chipotle, at La Salsa Verde one can expect to spend half as much for delicious and genuine Mexican tacos, large tortas with a side of chips, or a fresh-off-the-stove quesadillas with handmade tortillas. The tacos are around $ 1.25, depending on the kind of meat ordered. The most expensive taco on the menu is $ 2.50. Overall, I love eating from here! The food never disappoints! La Salsa Verde’s unique process and food preparation definitely helps improve the quality and is worth trying out, especially for such a great price.

Muy ricos los tacos. Exactamente igual a los de Mexico. He vuelto muchas veces a comer y siempre tienen el mismo buen sabor.

They are by far the best tacos in DFW I have tried, and I am a taco fanatic, I hunt this places down and from every corner In DFW I have tried tacos this is by far the closest to a real Mexican street taco, their original location on coit is quite ugly, but gives the full experience if the typical Mexican tacti stand and the food is still fantastic,

This place is located inside the gas station in front of El Rancho supermarket. There are about 4 – 6 places to sit down maybe, so we took ours to go. I had the cabeza tacos(meat only and cheek meat). The cheek meat tacos were pretty good. I’ve never had this type of meat before and it was a bit slimy or chewy like lengua. The cabeza(meat only) was very good and they got devoured quickly. Their red salsa provided was pretty spicy and tasty as well. They have a lot of items on their menu that I have never heard of, so I will be returning to try more of this mystery food. I liked that some of their menu was written on post it notes :).
