Cheap but not very good sushi. The simple salmon roll was the only good item on the menu. The spicy tuna almost looked neon pink — chemicals much¿ The specialty roll was just doused so much in all the sauces it was super over whelming. If you want cheap sushi go there and only get the salmon roll. They also have Habachi items on the menu that I didn’t try. Be prepared to have your hair and clothes smell like Habachi + smoke when you go inside — the need better ventilation in their kitchen!

Drive through Sushi, yes it does exist. The menu isn’t extensive but they offer enough variation. I usually get the R5 Spicy tuna roll with a couple of pieces of sushi. Pricing is ok. Quality is decent. It’s definitely a place you will come back to if it is not too far for you.

Tried this place for Sunday lunch. Location is a little small so would not recommend for huge groups. However, price is extremely affordable($ 4.99 for hibachi chicken!) On top of that, taste was just as good as a Benihana or similar hibachi grill. Would recommend for people in the area wanting a quick bite or trying to save money on quality Asian food.

Delicious sushi! I come here whenever I’m craving sushi. Love their Louisiana rolls, hits the spot every time. I recommended this place to my mom and sister, which they already had their so called«sushi spot» but once they tried this place, bye bye old sushi spot, hello Firexbox!

I love Firebox! I always stick to R5 and R8. My fiancé loves the hibachi chicken and California roll. The staff is friendly and the food is always consistent.

I am giving a review on my order and the service I received. Ordered veg tempura, veg rolls, veg fried rice, avocado roll. They were not good, the only think I sort of liked was the veg rolls but I am pretty sure they are the frozen ones at the store. Anyways, save up your money and go to a good hibachi sushi place and you will be happy with your purchase and not angry like me right now. Much love helpers.

Quick. Delicious. Sushi. Yes please! I sometimes think about firexbox and try to plan my route around swinging thru before heading home; it’s just that good. Their tempura eel was the best thing I’ve put in my mouth in a while! And the eel sauce rice below, yes yes yes! Everything there is delicious and I sometimes can’t remember what I ordered because I scarfed it down so quickly. Take it to go if you’ve had a crazy day!

Wow I really wasn’t expecting this quality of sushi! This is just like a fancy restaurant but on-the-go! Also the person on the mic was extremely helpful! Answered all the questions I had about the meals fluently without hesitation! Definitely recommend this place.

I found this place because I specially wanted a bento box. Don’t let the outside fool you because this establishment is good for your buck. I got the chicken teriyaki bento box. The gyoza were delicious. I’ve always seen them, but never ate them. My first time with these was great. The Cali rolls in the box were delicious. The chicken teriyaki could have had more flavor, but good for what it is. Tempura veggies were good. Just a tad greasy. The box as a whole was delicious though. You should give it a try. Also I purchased the Cali and tempura roll combo. I paid $ 15 included with tax for my food. I’ll be back!

I have tried several selections, but I keep going back to the Chicken Bento box. The salmon Bento box is excellent as well. Do not be scared of drive thru sushi. This has been consistently good. It is not the high end, but it is fresh. During the cooler weather I tried the miso soup and it was great. A great quick different sort of fast food meal.

Had a volcano roll and hibachi steak and shrimp. Food was decent but the environment has a distinctly fast food feel to it. I recommend getting to go orders. Wasabi was not very spicy and the single grill in use gave the food a bit of a burnt taste. No hibachi show here. Also no online menu. Will come back as a last resort or if I need to grab something on the way.

Wow! I am so surprised at how great and fresh the food was from here. I trusted the Unilocal reviews and tried it out tonight and I am so so happy. Finally I can get good sushi and not feel guilty about spending to much, and it’s super convenient. I went through the drive thru. Because sushi and a drive thru, hell yes. I got the R7 and my fiancé got the steak and chicken hibachi. Both were fantastic, fresh, and the portion sizes were great. Honestly, the sushi tasted just as fresh and good as any established sushi joint in the DFW. I can’t wait to go back!

Great prices for everything. This place is kind of a hidden treasure box. Outside looks nice and well put together. They don’t have too much park only about 10 spaces to park. They do however have a drive thru. You might think, «Hmm that’s sick just like fast food.» I assure you, you will be missing out. They have quality here and staff is nice and have well prepared food. Inside you can see the chef making rice and the other guy preparing sushi. Pretty neat. They have a couple of booths to dine in. I would recommended this place if you have a sushi craving best bang for your buck. Without a doubt. They have much more than sushi if your not craving sushi. Overall when that sudden craving kicks in go here. It will not break your pocket at all. Strongly recommend. If you love crawfish try to Louisiana roll. Taste is great.

Inexpensive quality sushi. This place reminds me of Tampopo on Greenville but the sushi is much tastier and more Americanized. Two people ordered 4 rolls and was about $ 30. The place is either drive through or order at the counter. We opted for inside since we weren’t familiar to the menu. The staff is very polite and each roll we ordered was made fresh right in front of us. While waiting I witnessed a couple come in who had called in an order to skip the wait, which for us was about ten minutes. We will probably phone it in next time since the dining area was a bit warm and smelled of fryer grease. I don’t think they use the vent a hood and is a really small place. Overall we were quite impressed from the price, quality, and the service of this establishment. Study the menu online, phone in the order, and pick it up through the drive through. Done

Yes. 5 Stars. Wanna fight about it? When viewing this place from the street you think to yourself, aw hell nah — next! But wait… there’s more. Go in. See the sights and sounds. Fresh sushi, fresh made hibachi, the smells, the $ 4.99 hibachi chicken dinner. The subsequent full stomach and then a nap. All very nice. MP and I went one night after he swore it wasn’t scary and hot damn he was right. We started with the tempura veggies(I mean, fried broccoli… duh), then I got the shrimp hibachi. Seriously, so good! We got the unagi sushi roll and some other roll I don’t remember because I was stuffing it through my food hole. MP loves the steak hibachi(men). The goyza is delicious too, and the sauces… yes. Always friendly, always fast, huge portions and always delicious. Oh, and they have a drive thru! You don’t even have to get out of your car for sushi! It’s definitely one of those places you need to put on your list immediately and then send me a sushi roll as a thank you. You’re welcome.

Food was great, fast, cheap. This is heaven for a college student. I am amazed how people do not know about this place. Place is small, so parties are not a great thing here. Friendly environment, very quiet and clean. I really loved their sushi, I’d personally give it a 4⁄5 and the chicken hibachi was a 5⁄5 just because it was fulfilling and the chicken was amazing. I expect to visit again!

Drive through sushi! Yes, it’s a little bit divey, but every place isn’t going to be premium quality locally sourced food. You really get what you pay for here, especially with the bento boxes and hibachi options. The chicken hibachi is really a steal at $ 5, and large enough my wife and I can split it if we get a sushi roll or two. Not the best sushi I’ve had, but it’s middle of the road quality befitting of the price. The vegetable tempura is good but a little greasy, but it’s hot and crisp and the veggies are fresh. The workers are friendly and consistent, and the food comes out quick enough. Only complaint is they have Pepsi and not Coca-Cola, come on, this is Texas! Great place to pick up dinner in the way home from work!

Yes, it is very cheap. No, it is not good. We got a large order for four of us and everything was extremely mediocre. Yeah, mediocre food that’s shockingly cheap might be appealing to you, but I’d rather have decent food at a decent price. Actually, I’d really rather have locally sourced delicious food at a premium price… Unilocal, I wish you would have more accurately informed me how divey and crappy this place was because I felt extremely misled.

The best place for Japanese lunch to-go for under $ 6. I recommend the chicken habichi because it is cheap and good, but sometime the rice wasn’t fully cooked so I give them 4 stars. Btw, I think this is the first Japanese restaurant in Dallas that has a drive-thru.

3 stars? I know, right?! But I think I know why. I came by myself for lunch and made the mistake of ordering the steak(ribeye) bento box rather than trying different kinds of sushi. The steak was surprisingly soft and tender with lots of flavor but I felt there was way too much sauce. The accompanying squash and broccoli bits were limp because they were drowned in sauce. I think If it came with just a little bit of rice I think I would have been happier because at least then it could soak up some of the extra sauce. Tempura veggies were perfect as were the gyoza that came with the box. The little container, which I thought was miso soup was actually a dipping sauce for my gyoza. Thanks for pointing that out, Griffin H. The highlights were the 2 pieces of eel sushi that I ordered in addition to my bento box. The eel pieces were big, still warm, and fatty with just the right amount of sauce drizzled on them wrapped snugly in the perfect amount of rice for that 1 bite. In hindsight I should have stayed away from the bento box and stick with just the sushi because even the california roll that came with my bento box was great. 3 stars for now until I can revisit and give their sushi a real try. P. S. Parking lot is tiny
