Go to MARIO Bros TACOS. This place has very bad service. I came in today at 1pm ordered 3 tacos alpastor and a tamale. Food seemed off. The white skin Mexican who is probably from Jalisco asked if it was dine in or to go, i said dine in. He came to the table asked for drinks and ordered. 20 later we got our food but guess what was missing. The complimentary chips and salsa I didn’t bothered to ask because he look distracted on his phone. When i got the tacos i notice that there wasn’t any cilantro so i kindly asked for some. He said be right back. He asked the cook to cut some. The cook did so and he placed it on top of the cutting board and my «server”(white skin Mexican) passed by it and forgot about me he continued to wonder and play with his phone. Later after I finished the tacos he brought the tamale since it takes longer to heat up. Still no cilantro. I ate the tamale. It was bland, no flavor whatsoever. For coming here for the first time it sucked and no, I will not be coming back. Ps. The ceiling is missing a few covers by the windows so there was insulation hanging at the eye of the customer. Luckily i didn’t sit there. I noticed it after i ate. If i noticed it earlier i wouldn’t have ate there for sanitary reason and thats a health code violation.

Excellent service! Loved this little hole in the wall type joint! My friends loved their meals too. They rate this place a 4 out of 5 for food and quality. Food is authentically Mexican with dishes I needed to look up. Fresh salsa and unprocessed anything. Ordered tostadas off-menu and a rice drink, horchata. One chicken tostada and one vegetarian with avocado; I had asked for beans to be added but they forgot. However, I was in a bit of a rush so didn’t care to ask for it. Food is fresh and horchata is huge!

El Rincon is good, not great. Menu is extremely limited. You better either be in the mood for tortas or tacos

The salsa they had was great. The staff is nice. The atmosphere was a little rudimentary but still enjoyable and laid back. Would return!

The tacos are solid and everything appears to be made fresh. I asked for beef enchiladas because they don’t have beef enchiladas. They made some for me just like they make the chicken Verde tacos to my surprise. They used the marinated fajita meat and had that Mexican crumbly cheese all over the dish with the fresh Verde sauce and I just pray that they remember how they made them. They were extremely good and I can’t wait to go back. It’s a no frills place for sure and a total dive. In fact you can buy a stero there too or big screen tv! So I guess they do have some frills after all.

Freshly made tortillas plus a half avocado accompanies the«bistec a la mexicana». It was so delicious and just the right amount of spicy! I will have a hard time not ordering this same dish again the next time I come here. Also, I appreciate how late this place stays open and the fun décor inside. Very laid back place and lots of Spanish speakers inside give it some authenticity points.

I’ve been here a few times but waited until now to post my review. Probably the only reason I’ve been back is because it is the closest location to me since Cuquita’s on Henderson Ave.(or the entire block for that matter) was taken over by the white establishment. It’s okay, but lacks in spice and at $ 10 a bowl including tax, is a few dollars overpriced. The owners seem to utilize the restaurant as a storage unit for personal items(I noticed a crib this past visit!) and the music they blast is worthy of ear-shattering concert levels. It is probably worth it for me to continue hunting for other pozole-serving restaurants! Color me «done» for this joint.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Dallas. I loved the warm salsa and large crispy chips, but especially the mole enchiladas. I had my birthday party here one time so I could eat those mole enchiladas. But they are no longer on the menu. I really don’t know where else to go to get them, so I will probably return for the tacos, as I now like authentic Mexican more than Tex-Mex(yes I’m from here :-/). I don’t know what happened, but now that my favorite dish is gone the slow service and extremely loud television are more bothersome. One time our waiter left to run an errand, and the chef didn’t speak English, so we had to wait. Maybe in a few months I’ll come back and see if they have mole again.

Before they changed ownership it was a five stars this place is still great four stars but because it’s not as good as it once was I have to give it a lesser rating

Warm salsa, delicious tacos on homemade tortillas… authentic Mexican food at very low prices! I don’t think they have a liquor license, but I was offered a complimentary margarita(although it was too bitter for my taste) & the server brought another table a canned Modelo. BUT… they have Horchata, which was great! They made up a batch just for us, & then a few other tables ordered some, too, so at least it was worth their while. Overall, with REAL tacos at places like this, why even bother with the«trendy» taco joints all over town? These are much better & much friendlier on the wallet. Thanks to Arturo for making our first experience at this restaurant so pleasant. We’ll be sure to return — next time on a Saturday or Sunday so we can try the barbacoa!

I love Tacos and this place has solid tacos. The hot salsa they give you is delicious and heated up. The Tacos are cheap and the Horchata is excellent… with free refills! I really enjoyed the tacos al pastor… had good seasoning. I didn’t enjoy the Chorizo as much but it was very different. It was truly nice to find another authentic Mexican Taco restaurant that wasn’t too far south. It’s located adjacent to the 711 and is painted bright yellow outside so it is hard to miss. Loud music playing at all times and it looked like they had a stage for performances.

Great lunch spot for hole-in-the-wall mexican food. Love the hot salsa(its actually served hot), tacos are dynamite, and there is always some cool pandora station pumping through the speakers. Plus you walk out full for like 6 bucks.

Found this place on the Scoutmob app and gave it a try for breakfast one Saturday morning. It wasn’t bad… just not great. It’s definitely a hole in the wall which is, more often than not, a good thing. However, the menu was so dirty, I was revolted to have to touch it. Blech! The boyfriend and I both had the breakfast taco combos, which were very flavorful, but crazy greasy. The warm salsa was tasty, but the chips were overly salty and stale. I doubt I’ll be back as there are much Mexican food joints in town.

I appreciate a lot of things about this place: 1) Open all night… need I say more? 2) Cold Mexican beers served after hours… need I say more? 3) Cheap, incredibly cheap Things I did not appreciate about this place: 1) Half of the shrimp in my taco was burned and the other half was completely RAW. that is just not ok. Left feeling slightly sick and like I had made a really bad decision in going there. Thankfully I didn’t get physically sick but wouldn’t take my chances here again.

This place seemed really promising but the quality and taste of the food is very, very subpar. We got: tamale with green sauce — not spicy, not very flavorful. The texture was good but it was very greasy(which I don’t mind, if I’m eating some good food). This tamale had barely any taste. tacos al pastor — The meat is not seasoned very well, and once again, you get the greasy, soggy, limpy taste without the flavor. Not good. The corn tortilla with the tacos is weak and soggy as well. chorizo tacos — driest chorizo I’ve ever eaten in my life. It was like eating pieces of tissue. Chips were stale. The salsa was decent — served warm. The service was friendly but so dang slow… and we were the only ones in the restaurant! Don’t think I’d go back.

Not too shabby, but I don’t think I’d come back. Perhaps the experience is different when eating in, but I asked for mine to-go during a lunch break. The food was OK, but nothing special. Prices definitely reasonable. The place would do better if it were in another location. The parking sucks and the whole place is just small. I don’t mind hole-in-the-wall places… but this one just doesn’t cut it for me.

So, the sandwiches(Tortas) sounded amazing, but which of the four to get? I got the Super Torta: it has all the meats from the first four in it. Which meats? You’ll have to find out for yourself. The bread was very fresh and light and this huge sandwich could feed two if you are counting calories. Parking sucks but it’s worth the headache: this is a great find for a taqueria(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Can’t give it 5 stars as I have not eaten everything they have to offer yet.

Claudia D drug me and Allison C in here yesterday promising authentic mexican food and to get us away from all the Tex-Mex. In a little separate building off Greenville Ave., it looked a little scary from the outside. Fear not! There are several tables on the inside and it was pretty clean. I ordered up some Horchata, $ 2 for a pretty large glass of it(which was actually their small size) — nicely spiced and sweet. Claudia got the torta milanese which I was a little envious of. She let me taste a piece of the meat and it was really good… next time I will be getting that! I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas… really good — IF you like mole. The rice was very boring, but the refried beans were great. The prices you can’t beat — my meal was only $ 7. I will definitely go back and try the torta, chilaquiles and tamales, when they have them. Don’t be afraid… try it.
