Dale E Rhodes, DDS

I have been a patient of Dr Rhodes for over 15 years and this guy rocks. From the friendly and helpful staff, to the professionalism and expert dental work of Dr. Rhodes. Basic cleaning, to crowns, he and his staff are perfectionists. I could not be more pleased and happy with my all my many experiences. Highly, highly recommend for all your dental needs.

I recently switched from Prestonhollow Dental where I thought I was being taken for a ride in all aspects (A Dental «Mill», so to speak)
The staff at Dr. Rhodes are professional & he seems very skilled & interested in your best welfare.
I felt I was in great hands & am glad to have found my new dentist.
On a side note, the office reminded me of my childhood dentist. The office is ‘Mid-Century’ish”. I felt like they spent their $$ on the important things, rather than on a $ 1M lobby.

It is the first time I call a dentist visit comfortable. Dr. Rhodes and his crew have a way of making you feel welcome and comfortable. I was cold and they brought me a blanket =)! I have sensitive tooth. Even a simple cleaning visit used to be dreaded. I must recommend this newfound dentist to all my friends because my experience was nothing like I was used to. I had to have a crown prepared and I almost fell asleep on the chair. I had a rubber thing to rest my jaw open on and I am not sure how Dr Rhodes did it but I didn’t have fluids accumulating in the back of my mouth. They are professional and real people. The explain every single little procedure before they do it and they make sure all of your questions are answered before you leave the place. Highly recommenced.

Best dentist ever… great staff too. Can’t remember the last time the dentist actually did the work himself… he’s kind, caring and understanding… he’s the best!

We’re back in Dallas now and NOOOOOOOOOOO! My current insurance plan doesn’t have Dr. Rhodes on it! If they suddenly do add him, I’ll return to him in a heartbeat!

I moved to Dallas three years ago and up until this year I had been going back to Houston every 6 months to see my old dentist and hygenist. I finally decided to find a dentist in Dallas this year. I looked at several dentists online and chose Dr. Rhodes mainly because he did his training at Baylor.
I ended up having to reschedule my appointment twice, the second time moving it to one of Dr. Rhodes’ off days. Despite this, Dr. Rhodes and his assistant Melanie were very accommodating. They both seem like nice people in general.
A huge factor in my decision to stay with Dr. Rhodes was that he practices evidence-​based dentistry. It was clear to me that he stays current with the dental literature and provides treatments based on controlled studies. He explained what the cause of my receding gums were, showed me an image of my gums using his fiber optic camera, and explained how I can prevent it from progressing. And on top of all of this, he cleaned my teeth himself. I’ve never had a dentist do that.
Melanie was great about explaining which over-​the-​counter products were proven and which were gimmicky. She also helped me resolve some insurance issues too.

Dr. Dale Rhodes has been my dentist for 10+ years. He has always provided comprehensive dental care, instruction regarding proper oral hygiene and necessary preventative care. I appreciate Dr. Rhodes’ caring yet direct approach to dentistry. I can count on his experience and instruction to ensure that I know how to take care of my teeth between visits. Dr. Rhodes’ practice provides a small and friendly atmosphere, making a trip to the dentist something to look forward to!

Dr. Rhodes has been my dentist for over 10 years. I just love both he and his assistant, Melanie. He is a perfectionist, and I always leave knowing I ‘ve gotten the best possible care I could get anywhere, at any price.

My wife and I have both been using Dr. Rhodes for a couple year now. I love both him and his assistant, Melanie. And my wife tolerates them both quite well considering her general dislike of anything associated with a visit to the dentist.
I’ve never been one of those people who had a problem going to the dentist. However, after a terrible experience with my first dentist in Dallas (at Hibernia Dental Arts), I was hoping to find someone who was at least competent. Dr. Rhodes is competent and friendly, and he’s also been more effective at motivating me to have good oral hygiene habits than any dentist I’ve ever had.
Dr. Rhodes’s assistant, Melanie, is one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. She’s the type of person who makes you feel like a close friend the first time you meet her. Every time I call, she sounds excited to hear from me. And, when I’m in the chair, she’s seems to have a real interest in my life… but also manages to avoid demanding too much from my end of the conversation (since her hands are in my mouth).
Dr. Rhodes is also friendly, but not quite so gregarious. Ever since I got my braces off and they put in my permanent retainer, I’ve had dentists tell me that I need be careful about brushing and flossing there, but flossing around it was so difficult that I rarely ever did it. Dr. Rhodes removed the retainer during my first appointment. He said that my teeth were done moving and that flossing was too important for that to get in the way. That (and his line about floss outranking a toothbrush in a deserted island scenario) has turned me into a person who flosses (and uses Listerine) every night.
If none of what I’ve said convinces you to give him a try, consider the fact that I’m writing a review for a dentist. Even if I wasn’t able to express why I feel so comfortable with him, the fact that I bothered to write a review for someone I see twice a year should be pretty compelling.
