I’m a fan of a deal, and therefore a fan of Big Lots. My first time deserved 2 stars and the second time deserved 4… so here is a well earned 3 stars. My first visit… Came with a friend and we were«greeted» by an employee on my way in who appeared to be on a break and smelled like weed. Yuck! He was friendly but way too comfortable for my liking. He later made comments about my cart not being full enough and rushing me to hurry because he wanted to go home. Just weird and very unprofessional. I scored good deals on some cleaning and kitchen supplies and a few kitchen stuff too. I was satisfied with the shopping, not so much the peeps. My 2nd visit… Came with family and the cashier was so kind and went above and beyond serving us. Scored more deals, my favorites being a TV wall mount for $ 30 which runs around $ 60-$ 70 everywhere else and a mini deep fryer for $ 15. Winning! I’ll probably be back because I don’t want to pay more unless I must. I just hope I don’t run into that weird guy.

As the only remaining Big Lots in Dallas proper, this one is my new favorite. Become a member of their rewards program — it’s worth it — frequent 20% off weekends that you need the Buzz Club membership to use. Yes, I said Buzz Club. Why they called it that makes no sense to me whatsoever, since Big Lots doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Bees. Maybe it’s a play on words like deez nuts. Beez lots? If you’re looking for some cheap snack food, cleaning supplies, or throw pillows. This is the place.

I ran into Big Lots yesterday to see what kind of odds and ends I could find for new Christmas decorations. As most of the reviews state, this location is very picked over. I will say it is always busy, but I agree that the aisles are very narrow, so this coupled with loads of patrons makes the shopping not so ideal. Unfortunately most everything was picked over(which I had thought it would be). I think going on an off-day is key. Will definitely give other locations a go as I hear it’s a better shopping experience depending on which one you go to. Otherwise, from experience, I can vouch for Big Lots carrying a variety of items at great, low prices!

I am a huge fan of Big Lots-but this location was not near decent. Store was crowded, workers weren’t helpful… thinking I will not go back to that location again.

This is your typical Big Lots in a not so great shopping center. Big Lots has always been a treasure for me for a few things. Paper goods, laundry detergent, trash bags, household cleaning products, greeting cards, gift bags & batteries. It is sometimes hit or miss but the prices usually make up for the extra trip to save some money at this store.

There once was a time where Big Lots was my little secret. Cheap household cleaners and paper towels. Marked down designer kitchen wares and brand name toiletries were mine to find in the scattered aisles of Big Lots. Now it seems that everyone and their mother has discovered the treasures of the Lots and it’s aisles picked over. I’ve been coming to the Haskell location for years; my frugal mother taught me how to shop for deals when I bought my first condo. The store isn’t super organized but it’s clean and the prices unbeatable. The service has always been and still full of odd personalities yet still puts a smile on my face. The store has been remodeled recently so it is easier to find things but it is still a potpourri of marked down merchandise so mellow your expectations. I’m still a Big Lots regular but the selection is more picked over and the cashier lines longer. It’s no longer just my guilty pleasure. Come down and fancy yourself with Hot Cheetos and Bounty paper towels. Apparently it’s the guilty pleasure of everyone who’s zip code begins with a 7−5−2. Happy discount shopping!

I am a Big Lots fan. Is the quality of their products high? No. Are you guaranteed to find what you go in there looking for? No. But with those two caveats, if there is something that you may want but don’t want to spend a ton of money on, then it is a good place. Maybe it is a seasonal decoration(it is a good Christmas place, especially for things like wrapping paper), or you would kind of like a chair on your apartment balcony but aren’t sure how much you would use it, or you need a cheap pot or pan or cooking utensil to make something that you may or may not use often or ever again, then it is a really good place to go. It is really cheap so if you get something and you don’t end up liking it or using it much, you don’t feel particularly annoyed because it didn’t break the bank to buy it.

I was really going to try to be a Big Lots fan. I’m still kind of on the fence. They have super cheap stuff, but not a lot of name brand stuff. I didn’t think that would be a big deal, but apparently I’m kind of a brand snob. I only say this because for example, I bought some cleaning supplies and I swear the generic version of Windex does not work as well as actual Windex. But I have bought paper towels and kitty litter here so it’s not a total miss. The place kind of needs a makeover, though and having the full time security guard always makes me nervous that I’m about to be in the middle of a store robbery. Overall Big Lots probably has one of everything you need. It just depends on the level of quality you want in said product.

I love BIGLOTS, but I think the lines are way too long especially when you are just getting one item.

Yeah luckily it’s in the same lot as Target. I came by here to look for a few things for my kitchen. They have a lot of interesting items, but the store is very disorganized. Some isles you couldn’t even get through because of all the boxes and stuff are all laying out. I hope they were just restocking. I found what I was looking for and for a pretty good price as well. :-) Some other stuff I had to get at Target…
