Restaurant should get 5 stars just for making reservations for 8 on New Years Eve within an hour of our arrival. Sure enough we had a table reserved even though they were busy. They did a great job of taking care of us. Our group was family age 82 to 7. Not the typical NYE group. This is more neighborhood spaghetti house with a variety of pasta and traditional dishes. Hearty, tasty, abundant and comforting type Italian food. We had been there before several times and it has always been good. I was most impressed with a beautiful house salad that came with all the entrees. It was fresh, attractive presentation with carrots, olives, tomatoes & cheese atop crisp leaf & Romaine lettuce with a really good vinegarette. We were served house made rolls to start that were beautiful but rather bland. All of our entrees were good. The 7 year old ordered pizza which was good. We took a piece of Italian Cream Cake home to share. It was fresh, moist and devoured. We usually go to an upscale, special occasion type of restaurant without the family on NYE and probably will again next year but I can’t say our food our service is as good.

30 years ago my wife waited tables here(at Casa Linda) as a teen. So we recently did some nosing around and found that Peter was still open after all these years and after we stopped in for a bite, it’s easy to see why. The food is top notch, the staff is friendly and helpful and the prices are very economical. The shrimp scampi appetizer is really great and the garlic rolls are perfect for mopping up all the sauce. I could almost make a meal of this alone but I always order a large cheese pizza-some to eat and some to bring home for later. Not fancy food, but definitely good food.

We came in on a Sunday evening around 8pm. They were very accommodating to our children, very sweet younger women as waitresses. 1. Immediately noticed the prices. Not bad prices or outrageous, but pretty pricey for the portions. 2. The.Garlic.Knots. Just trust me on this one. They were hot and fresh, and we had to wait a bit for them to come out to our table. That’s ok, they were worth it. 3. Entrees-my husband had the tortellini. It is a small portion for the price, but it is delicious. White sauce with ham and cheesey filled pasta rings. I had the rainbow trout fish and veggies. Very flavorful, and the fish seemed fresh, although in Dallas, I’m sure this was a previously frozen filet. My mother had the pizza. I felt this was probably one of the best dishes for the price. The crust is homemade and hand tossed. Chewy yet crispy. Toppings made of fresh produce. My children split the meatballs, and the red sauce is killer! Can’t wait to go back.

Great place to take the kids. Pizza is good, bread rolls are great, pasta is alright. Nice, casual atmosphere.

Very rude owner would not do business in the future, I greeted him but he ignored me. Very disrespectful, either that or I was a different race, he talked to the others…

We went to dinner late on a Friday night… Reasonably busy and we were sat right away, greeted promptly and quickly ordered. My wife had the baked ravioli and I had the fettuccine alfredo and cheese bread app… All of it was amazing! My favorite part was the service! In a world full of horrible servers that are only getting worse, it’s nice to have actual great service! People who are happy to have our business! This was one of those places! We will be back to support this local small business!

I love this place! The pizza is better than most Italian places. It’s a great neighborhood joint and can get quite busy. I won’t lie and say the service is super fast but it’s friendly. Overall you won’t be sorry you ate here.

Great rolls. But bottom line is everyone in our party that had sausage pizza is sick today. If you can’t offer safe food 100% of the time you shouldn’t be in the restaurant business.

This place does the business based on it’s pizza deals. The pizza however is thick-crust and very«meh.» I’ve tried several different pizzas from them, and the ingredients rarely taste fresh. I’ve yet to have a pizza I loved from them.

I’ve been going here since I was born. Literally. I was adopted and this was the first place my parents brought me. This place is so amazing and only a short walk away from where I live. When I moved out to Nacogdoches, I literally waited for the days I could come home to Dallas to go to my favorite Italian restaurant in the world. I live for the garlic rolls and the spaghetti with meatballs. I know most of the people working there, including the owner. This is the best place I’ve been for Italian food, and now I’m super happy I get to stay back in Dallas for two years to enjoy my birthday here like I have been for the past 19 years. I’m proud to give this place five stars.

Complimentary garlic rolls were the best part of dinner. The house salad dressing was also good. Very zingy! The house beat the caesar salads at our table. We selected the fried cheese & crab claws. «Meh», pretty much just like any other place. The entrees were below average. The tortellini was bad and removed from the ticket. It was over cooked, dense and hard. The sauce was sticky more than creamy. The waitstaff seemed to be having a hard time, though, the hostess was very friendly. There was a large party who apparently was waiting on orders and had sent a few things back to the kitchen. Two waitresses dropped trays upon delivering them to the table. Our waitress was a sweetheart but the food was just not good. I wouldn’t voluntarily return but if I had to go back I would get the house salad as mooch off those garlic knots! The overall atmosphere is cute. A little dark hole in the wall in a strip center. I wanted to like it!

Really dependable quality Italian food at a good price. Servings are just right and service adequate. I wish it was by my house but I live in Kansas. Go if you are smart.

I got appetizers and dessert here and all of it was delicious. The artichoke appetizer was too delicious, I plan on going back and eating a whole plate to myself. Their garlic rolls are so delicious too, the bread is just right and great for dipping. Eggplant Parmesan app is very good too, you get 3 big pieces. If you get dessert, get the Cappuccino Ice Cream Pie! Om nom nom.

I had the salmon which was very bland. The house salad was nothing special… could have made a better one at home. My husband had the crab claws which he said were delicious but what isn’t when it’s swimming in garlic butter?

One of my favorite places to eat growing up. I recommend their Antipasti or anything with their house dressing. Super tasty. Their rolls are great too. All of their chicken dishes are great. Their pizza is good but not knock out. Good sandwiches at lunch. Never had a bad meal here.

One of our favorite neighborhood Italian places!!! I will agree with the comment about the disinterested staff. Even though Alfonso hires on hot waitresses n what not, make sure they have at least a little more personality. I’m obsessed with their salad dressing and Alfredo pizza. The chicken Frances and crab claws are out of this world as well!

Good rolls everything else mediocre at best. Had a salmon dish that was terrible. Tasted like frozen. Friend had fettuccine that came out cold. Service was good but slow and disinterested. Don’t come here for the food. Too many other places for Italian food for same or less price.

Uh, yeah VERY delicious family Italian food. I’m so glad to be finding these little Italian gems around town… This one is in the Lake Highlands area(my old teenaged stomping ground). Ambience is a little dark at night, like a bar that also has a restaurant than the other way around. I didn’t mind though. The menu is what you would expect for Family Italian. Good selection of standards. Casual ambience, food prepared and presented nicely and simply. My thing is to try the eggplant parmesan which was very good. The rest of the table seemed to enjoy everything ordered as well. We rolled out of there in a carbohydrate-induced total satisfaction high. Excellent made-there fresh fried cheese!
