The music was defeaning. The chicken Marsala was a bowl of soup. My Caesar salad was full of hearts. My husband’s salad was full of fresh greens. My husband liked his pizza. Not a fan. We won’t be back.

Decent food, though the pasta and bread are not House made. The salads are good, the gnocchi is awful. Pizza is not the best. The mussels and eggplant are good enough for times when you don’t feel like making it at home.

Great food and excellent personal service. The prices were reasonable and the seating area had a small town feel with big city décor. All the entries came with one of three amazing salads. I had the Godfather pizza(…the most amazing combo of fresh bread, sauce, cheese and meat ever), and the Piazza salad. Recommend both!

Place was great all the way through. Food and service both top notch. My restaurant experience in Dahlonega was pretty sub par, but they did a great job.

This place was suggested as a good place to eat, but the person that suggested Piazza had only tried a Caesar salad. I should’ve known it would not meet my expectations, when I was signing up for their mailing list and noticed a typo in the section where it asked if I had ‘dine’ with them before. This indicates a lack of attention to detail, which became obvious to me when we visited there this past Sunday. The first unappealing thing I noticed was the empty, plastic soda bottle in the flower planter out front, which I had to look at the whole time we were eating, since we sat next to the windows. The windows were filthy as well! They were splattered and smeared with who knows what and this was on the inside. In my opinion, if you are going to have windows in your establishment, they should be CLEAN and pleasant to look out of. The menus are on printed pieces of paper and come inside legal size, brown file folders, which is unique(in an understated sort of way), but they looked like they had seen better days. Again, attention to detail is a big deal when I dine at a restaurant and at this point, I wasn’t expecting much from the food. Before I get to the food, however, I must mention the nasty bathroom, which had bits of toilet paper on the floor, the stainless steel trash can looks like it has never been wiped down, and the general state of the bathroom was just nasty. Upon further observation in the dining room, I noticed that all the chair backs were heavily fingerprinted and dirty from not being cleaned on a regular basis. When I see this much neglect with cleanliness in the front of the house, I know that the back of the house is most likely worse. Now for the food… it was adequate at best. We ordered calamari, bruschetta, and a pizza, which came with a salad. On their website, they boast that they get their produce from their farm, known as Serendipity Farm in Tiger, GA. I was excited about this because I really like the farm to table movement that is becoming more popular with restaurants these days. The salad greens seemed fresh enough and we appreciated that the salad was not overdressed, although the tomatoes were under-ripe and waxy tasting. This was odd to me, since tomatoes are in season now and should have been red and flavorful. There is a Farmer’s Market every Saturday just around the corner from Piazza that they could source out wonderful and plentiful varieties of tomatoes, if for some reason they were unable to get them from their farm. The bread(that comes complimentary) is essentially pizza dough with a few seasonings sprinkled on top, but was nothing great, nor was the balsamic/olive oil mix they give you for dipping. The bruschetta came on the same, sliced bread and wasn’t toasted. Bruschetta is supposed to come on grilled bread, so this was rather unappetizing, when you are expecting a crunch to the bread. The presentation of the bruschetta was awful as well… three pieces of topped bread on an oval, white plate, sitting on a piece of folded parchment paper. When the margarita pizza arrived, we all just sat there and stared at each other for a minute at the very small size. We all got one tiny piece, as that’s all there was. The only thing that we all agreed was really good, was the calamari. I would never recommend this place to anyone and it goes without saying, that we will never go back. They also have another restaurant called Porterhouse, which I was hoping to try, but after our experience at Piazza, we won’t bother.

Try anything made with the marinara sauce! Sooooo delicious! The bread is perfect. Brownie dessert was scrumptious. This place has baking figured out. Salad and all entrée ingredients were fresh. Pasta was perfectly cooked. I stopped by Piazza while traveling for business. I look forward to my next trip to the area so I can try another dish. Also service was good! Waitress was happy to oblige my special requests. Chef stopped by the table and asked me how my meal was and took a genuine interest in my opinion and even requested feedback about certain elements of the meal. I was very impressed!

We did not eat in and only ordered a Caeser Salad and Bruchetta for take-out. However, the service and friendliness of the hostess who took our order and chatted with us while we waited was very positive. We exchanged some suggestions about local places to go, a favorite restaurant of ours that was no longer there, etc. The food came out fairly quickly and we were happy since the restaurant was very crowded that Sat evening. When we are hungry, we will try Piazza for dine-in service and hopefully will edit this post. I would recommend.

Service: Seemed to be a high school aged guy with not much attention to the table. We were neglected except for the food, one delayed refill, and the check. Not overly busy since we hit it up on a Monday evening on our way to the AT. Food: The salad course was decent but the food was entirely underwhelming. I had the lasagna which tasted like something out do a can and the gulf shrimp pasta was horribly prepared with the shrimp overcooked, the broccoli undercooked, and whole cloves of roasted garlic just thrown in instead of chopped or minced. Bottom line: do not recommend.

Outstanding and fresh Italian on historic Main Street in Dahlonega. And very reasonably priced. My family opted for create your own pasta as well as a create your own pizza – which my lactose intolerant daughter ordered without cheese and it came out quite delicious. Highly recommend.

I haven’t yet found a good build-your-own pasta with lots of variety, yet tastes divine and delicious. I had spaghetti with marinara, mushrooms, and chicken. The grilled chicken was tender and juicy, the mushrooms were flavorful and cooked through, and the pasta was al dente. Everything tasted wonderful. The service was good as well. Although my waitress was vegetarian, she had knowledge about everything on the menu, and I didn’t have to wait too long for my food to come out. The staff was easy to communicate with and cheerful and polite.

This place was great! Is it the best Italian restaurant I ever visited? No, but anything better costs 3−4x as much. This food was excellent and service was great. And prices very reasonable. For a small town, it was outstanding.

If I could give this place a negative 4 stars I would! Walked in and saw staff walking around but no one greeted us. We waited… A person who I assume works there saw us an said that apparently there is no hostess right now and sat us at a table. I Ordered a glass of wine, but they were out of that selection. Reordered another glass and again the waitress comes back and they were out of that wine too!

What a great restaurant! Everything we had was super delicious… Our appetizer of muscles were delicious with their warm bread. We all had salads that were really good. I had the trout entrée. Really, really good food… And the service was enjoyable and we shared a bottle of wine. Two thumbs up to the tasty spot. ENJOY!

Good food but not so good service and atmosphere. I think we had a new server who was struggling(blame the one who was supposed to train her). And I hate to say it, but there were many flies I the restaurant as well. Not a good sign. If they make the improvements in the environment, go there and enjoy the good food.

Let me start off by saying that I am not really a huge fan of Italian food. Pasta just has never been my thing. So, quite possibly my review isn’t worth a grain of salt, but that is for you to decide. So when doing a little bit of antique hunting the other day the family got a little hungry, and for nostalgia purposes ended up trying this place again 8 years after we first tried it when the wife and I got married up at Wolf Creek. The memories were of a decent italian place that served slightly upscaled italian food in a little run down building. That has all changed. Ambiance: The upscaled the joint since I was last there. The peeling paint is gone, replaced by rough cut wood, fancy pictures of italian food, new lighting that are essentially old wire baskets and crates over old edison looking bulbs. The kitchen area still looks like it is falling down, so I guess they did try to mix a little of the old with the new. Service: No complaints here. Seated promptly, waitress was wonderful. Thought it strange though that they had what looked like 2 hostesses, and three waitresses for such a small restaurant. Not sure what the reasoning is there but hey, it isn’t my money the owner is spending. Food: The problems start right about here. Starters 3 Bruschetta: I am not going to take any points off for my mistake as the menu clearly stated that the bruschetta came individually on a slice of bread, I just don’t think they should serve it that way. Had the abruzzo(Sausage, peppers, carmelized onions, ricotta) the Vento(aged cheese of some variety, red onion marmalade) and the piedmonte(goat cheese, honey, walnuts). *****Don’t go by what is on the menu on the internet, it has changed***** The vento being the best of the three, the peppers used in the sausage variety were a little bitter. Would have rather seen each served in a jar and given our own bread to spread and share. Fresh bread given with dinner: Don’t usually take marks off for this as it is complimentary. The bread was just fine, served warm and partially slice so you can tear off a slice. The problem lay in the olive oil and balsamic vinegar they put on the table. The olive oil was BITTER and nasty on the palate. I wouldn’t say it is rancid, but it was overpowering. Just think of the old glue they used to put on envelopes

Took a date there for dinner, wasn’t totally impressed. Environment: Can’t say at the moment. They were renovating the piazza side, ate in the Porter House side. Service: Wasn’t memorable. Server was pretty quick initially to grab what we needed, but didn’t check in on us after the food came, and we waited about 10 minutes when finished for him to collect our plates and bring the check. Food: I really enjoyed my meal, I had the Chicken Marsala. It was pan seared and breaded, and slightly overlooked. For some reason, they don’t offer the Marsala sauce on the pasta, and I got it with fettuccini Alfredo, which wasn’t bad, but I would of preferred a full Marsala dish. My date on the other hand, had the spinach ravioli stuffed with Italian sausage. She said the food came lukewarm and by the time she had finished it was stone cold. The sauce looked like it was straight out of a can. Overall, I guess it’s the best Italian food you can get in Dahlonega, but that’s not saying much.

Still the BEST Italian dining in the Dahlonega area!!! the fiancé and me LOVE their fresh and very tasty salad and bread as well as most all of their exquisite kitchen offerings. Wait staff is very much of the young nearby college student, but although they may be newer hires(I’m always seeing new faces here), they do try their best to keep drinks filled and the area orderly. Table settings can get cozy when the busy season hits, but overall, Piazza’s offers fresh, homemade Italian cuisines at very affordable prices. There simply is no better in the Dahlonega range!
