Went by Saturday night… no cars, no sign on, no lights on. I’m no John Taffer but I could have told you this place probably wasn’t going to make it. Someone please put a good sports bar there.

Formerly On The Rocks Bar, this spot here has made a complete transformation. They have rid the old name and have good full throttle on a new identity. With the implementation of a non-smoking policy and dress code this spot is now my ideal place for a night of Latin sounds, dancing and of course, drinks. I’ve yet to have had a bad mixed drink by Nikki the bartender for at least the 6 times I’ve visited. Let me forewarn you that this spot does not have a grill nor even chips. You will certainly need to eat before you come here. Nevertheless it’s nicely decorated, clean, updated and perfect for a party or a date night as it has a nice dark romantic appeal to it. They also have frozen Rita’s which separates them from the average bar, which most just makes them on the rocks. The prices have been completely reasonable and I believe they have a happy hour from 9PM — 10PM. The sound system is great and they play about 65% Latin. The rest is hip/hop dance music mixed in with some old school, funk and classic rock. Of course you can request anything and they will be happy to play it. I give these guys all 5 stars for trying out a whole new style of Lounge in the suburbs. It’s certainly one of the first of its kind as spots like this usually open up in midtown or the inner loop. It hasn’t been much of a crowd yet since we have been visiting the place but I’m sure that will change soon. So if you want to try it, especially for a date night, it’s best to do it now, as this place is sure to become more and more popular. Smile, Dance and Prosper.
