Hi, just wanted to give Cypress Auto Repair Kudos for always being there when we need repair done ”‘RIGHT“‘ on our cars.
Cypress Auto Repair is the best place to bring your car if your having any problems with it. My son and I have been here a few times for repairs, on his 1995 Ford Escort GT 1.8 liter, and everytime it comes out purring like a kitten.
Dean, Brian, Josh, and all the guys here are «„„EXCELLENT““» mechanics. From the 1^st. time we brought my sons car here, I wouldn’t trust any one else under the hood. These people are honest, and caring about you.
They, and us, know that when any of our cars are brought in, they will come out with a clean bill of health. All the people here care for your car and will take «„„EXCELLENT““» care of it for you.
They work extremely hard to get the car back to you, because they know that your time is precious, and you have other things to be doing.
Give Cypress Auto Repair a chance next time your car needs fixing, you’ll not regret it.

My Goddaughter and her family are starting over. We found a little Honda for her. What a mess it was when we arrived at Cypress Auto (our preferred mechanics for our own cars)! The group there pitched in to make it safe and running while realizing we weren’t made of money. They gave suggestions of how we could get it done right – even down to ordering 2 tires and installing. All new hoses, belts, servicing and a multitude of things.
That all said, if you are looking for an honest place to get work done well, we recommend CYPRESS AUTO on Cerritos and Valley View in Cypress CA. Tell them you read Pam’s Unilocal Review. (AAA members, show your card too.)

dropped my Jeep off for an alignment and when I got it back the door handle inside the drivers door would not open from the inside. I did notice the technician rolled the window down when he parked it and used the outside handle to open the door. I drove the Jeep after the alignment and it still pulled heavy right. I drove back to the location and when I pulled up I could not use the inside handle to open the door. I informed the girl at the counter about this issue and when the «manager» came outside to explain that the tire wear could be causing the issue with the alignment I agreed. HE NEVER BROUGHT UP THE ISSUE ABOUT THE HANDLE NOT WORKING. I have never had an issue with the handle, BECAUSE I“M NOT A NEANDERTHAL that rips doors open by yanking them so hard you rip the cable out of the pressed fitting. I have ordered the replacement cable and will install it when it comes in. Lesson learned, don’t go back to this place!

Took my car in for a smog Saturday morning and was helped by Brian. He was super friendly and helpful. The smog took about 10 minutes.
I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

First time here for an alignment. Brian and the staff were very helpful, friendly, and honest. Took my car in a half hour after they opened and I was out of there under an hour! One of the mechanics took me for a ride in my car after to make sure I was happy and satisfied with the job they had done. Definitely coming back for other services.

Had a horrible oil leak in my car for awhile, so I finally took my car to Brian & his mechanics @ Cypress Auto & Smog Repair. I had no clue the oil leak was as bad as it was, or that it had done so much damage to other parts in my car. Because the car dealership (who supplies car parts to Cypress Auto) could not provide Cypress Auto with all of the parts needed for my car the same day that I took it in for repair, I had to leave my car overnite in order for all of the necessary repairs to get done to my car. The dealership finally got all of the parts needed for my car’s repair to Cypress Auto by the next day, & I was then able to pick up my car that day. Plus the Cypress Auto & Smog Repair staff were also very nice to take me home & pick me up the next day to get my car since I had no one else to take me to pick up my car. Thank you Cypress Auto & Smog Repair!!!

These guys are great; polite, helpful and fast! I was in and out in 15 minutes (very helpful when you’re doing a smog test on your lunch break). You can also use your AAA for discounts here.

This place is the real deal. Integrity means everything in this business and they deliver. Brian is one of the most honest people I have ever come in contact with. Keep up the good work!

I went in for a smog check on a Saturday morning & was finished in 10 minutes. Brian at Cypress Auto Repair was very helpful & accommodating. Great service and I will definitely be back.

If more places were this accommodating, I’d run errands with my toddler more often!
I was in the area and stopped by to see if they could squeeze me in for a quick smog check. They did, literally 15 min quick. AND they put on the Disney channel for my toddler while we waited. This dreadful errand turned into a nice successful little trip! Thanks guys!

I currently own a 2001 Dodge Intrepid with 300,000 miles plus on it, bought it new. 8 months ago it was hard to get her started and had to pump the gas pedal in order to do so. Engine light had been on for 6 months prior to that. I had taken my car to two dealerships, Chrysler/​Dodge Torrance and Cerritos Dodge and a mom n pop but they couldn’t figure out what was wrong, or should I say wouldn’t. Anyway, I found Cypress Auto and Smog on Unilocal.Brian and his crew are professional, courteous, honest and always give the best service at a reasonable price. They replaced the fuel injectors and a valve hose that had gone bad. Now she starts right on up and runs like a champ. I’ll never take my car anywhere else. I highly recommend Cypress Auto because they get the job done right without ripping you off to do it!

Too expensive. I saved $ 1,000 on a transmission repair by taking my car to another garage. Gave Cypress another chance but unfortunately their quote for 2 radiator hoses and new thermostat with new fluids was $ 750.00. I decided to take car back to the garage that did the transmission work. After paying $ 63 to have car towed to the other garage plus $ 110.00 diagnostic charge. I will still save money by not having Cypress Auto do the repair. There was one another time they did repairs and the bill was $$$ more than they told us. We had been a loyal customer for over 30 years. Sorry to say it but we won’t be back.

Saw this place on Unilocal with good reviews and figured I’d give them a shot. I originally went for an oil change but I did end up paying a little more for some other fixes. I easily could have said no and just got the oil changed but I figured I’d get it all done in one place. Great service and will more than likely come again in the future.

Great service again if i keep giving you guys my money i can’t buy a new car lol. Love these guys!

Came here for a AAA pre buyer inspection on a used car. Great customer service, knowledgable and quicker than promised!

I paid $ 173 for a smog fail diagnosis. They told me the car needed a catalytic converter.
I come back to get the repairs done, and they want $ 220 for another diagnosis, claiming this was a different diagnosis. AND more money for another smog test. And you didn’t do the type of diagnosis you knew was needed the first time because??? Because you ripped me off!
Go ANYWHERE else for your work, because this business is dishonest. I am asking my mechanic — who recommended this business — and AAA, to stop recommending this business.

I came here after the recommendation from my AAA guy who jumped my car. He told me I needed to get my battery charged and retested to see if I needed a new battery. If I did then I would get a prorated one for $ 80. When I arrived I was greeted as soon as I walked in which was nice. The girl told me the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour. After almost 2 hours she finally came out and said that I did in fact need a new battery but that they didn’t have the one for my car. She said she would call around and call AAA to see if they could drop one off and that it would be $ 105, wth? I asked her why it was so much but she never got an answer for me. After another 10 – 15 she came out and said that she couldn’t find one. She handed me the print out that showed my battery failed to give to the AAA driver to get the prorated amount. I then drove home, called AAA and they came to my house, I handed them my print out and he says «oh, um did you just go get it tested today? I said yes, I just waited 2 hours for it to be tested.» He then proceeds to show me the date on the receipt says 2009 and the time says 7pm. Wtf! How embarrassing. He then tells me my battery price is $ 72 plus tax. If Cypress Auto says they only go off AAA prices not any higher or lower why did 2 of the drivers tell me different. Not a fan of the wait being way longer than I was told it would be, or the fact that they didn’t even look for a battery until after 2 hours.
I did give them 2 stars because the girl at the front desk was friendly.

Currently on a ‘staying-​at-​home’ vacation so I took my ’03 Kia over this past Friday for an oil change. The service writer Brian asked if I’d had the timing belt done (my car has 107,000 miles on it). I mentioned that I hadn’t but that the timing belt on my wife’s Kia had gone out around 70,000 miles and somehow mine was on borrowed time. He was able to put together a quote for me in less than 5 minutes and explained that with the labor time to get into the engine (2.5 hours to disassemble it and 2.5 reassemble it) and replace the timing belt, I might as well take care of the other belts in there which would need replacing in the near future anyway. As the other belts ranged in price from about $ 12-​$ 15 I’d only be paying the one time labor cost to get into the engine for the timing belt but could have all of the belts done at once.
Well, I had the work done today for the quote Brian gave but the nice surprise came when I remembered they also give a discount to Auto Club of So Cal members. Nice! Even cheaper!
My car now feels like it’s got a new lease on life! Thanks folks! I would recommend this shop to anyone! Additionally, they’re nice and close to a large residential community as opposed to being in an industrial area in the ‘scary’ part of town.

Love this place and my family trusts them with all of our cars. The past two years I’ve suffered severe financial hardship and Brian has always been good about telling me what needs to be done and how long I can hold off on other repairs and maintenance.
We’ve got 3 cars with over 150,000 miles and working just as well as the first year we bought them, and I attribute this to their work.
Yes, they will test your batteries, run diagnostics, take your car for a few drives and your car may not be in and out in an hour. But, this means sometimes they find you don’t need the repairs you thought, and they really get to the source in the most economical way for you.

Rip off Artists. Thanksgiving. .? The only thing I’m thankful for is not wasting time or money at this overpriced and overrated place.
I called and got a quote at 80.00 for a battery. I went in with my battery for to change it out. They said I had to wait for an hour to charge just to see if it was dead. I didn’t have time to wait so I was going to buy one. Then they wanted to charge 140.00 for the battery and have me pay a disposal fee.
Do yourself a favor and go to another place. They don’t deserve your money. Horrible customer service.
Left that place went to Costco and paid 72.00 for a battery and received 15.00 credit for the battery I brought in.
