85c and Teatop had long lines so I decided to try Jazen Tea for the first time. It’s located in a phở restaurant Phở Hoa, which was odd. I asked the person working the counter to recommend some good fruity teas to get since I had no clue what was good. She recommended the Passion Fruit and the Mango Tea. The tea was… bitter? sour? I asked for less sugar, but these teas shouldn’t taste bitter/sour, just less sweet. And they advertise that there is fresh fruit in the drinks, but there was hardly any fruit in there and it was sour too! I will probably never come here again. Too bad, I really wanted to like this place.

Okay, so this rating is for the girl who was at the register. Major attitude. Not sure if she felt threatened by my natural beauty or what, but whaaaat thaaaaa fuuuuck. She was super short and condescending. I wanted a smoothie and asked if they had any dairy substitutes because I don’t drink milk, and she looked at me as if I was speaking a language that did not exist. She continued to stare at me, while I was trying to make an informed decision,(you know that stare when someone is judging you and they think you won’t notice). She could have told me what drinks ARE dairy free, and be courteous and helpful but no. She was rude, young and bitchy. Not my cup of tea, no pun intended. Kids, get over yourself. I’ll be driving to Mt. view to get my tea from now on.

I originally came here was because I had a good experience at another location. Last time the cashier didn’t know any English and that got me irritated, since I don’t like wasting my breath repeating my order over more than three times. Today was definitely better than the last time since they finally found somebody that can understand English. I like the various Mojito flavors they have, but my go to is the Lychee Mojito since they have a lot of real lychee in the drink and it goes well w/green tea and the lime surprisingly. This location doesn’t have too many people ordering drinks and there’s a lot of parking in the lot. The drinks were very refreshing especially on a warm day like today… I’ll try some of their milk teas next since I know what to expect from their different mojitos.

It was kind of weird walking in because it was unusually quiet… besides that, the girl who was working cashier seemed like she was very bored with her job. I ordered the original milk tea with honey boba thinking that the boba would be soft and chewy like Tpumps or Ten Ren’s, but sadly, Jazen Tea is one of those places with bad boba. The outside was soft but when you got to the inside it was super hard and just tasted horrible. The milk tea was alright to say the least, but when the ice started melting it made the milk tea taste bad? I think the ice tasted like dish water. I thought this Jazen Tea would be like the one in SJ but I was wrong.

This Jazen is located inside Phở Hoa, so I guess you could order drinks while you are eating your phở(or just order drinks only)? Either way, I wasn’t impressed by the tea they produce here. It tasted very artificial and syrup-y and the only plus is that everything comes in the«chubby» cup(the larger size) at a decent price. But even then, I’m not sure I want more of a very bad drink. The fruit bits in the fruity drinks aren’t particularly fresh and the tea flavor is super weak(especially if you have ice and it melts into the tea). It was way too diluted to be «refreshing». The Tea Zone does fruity drinks better(but I hear they’ve closed?). They also do milk tea as well, but that definitely doesn’t compare to other places like Tea Era or Super Cue for me. And there’s limited choices. I probably would not get tea here given the plethora of other choices in Cupertino and because I prefer a solid/strong tea flavor in my drinks.

This place is located inside a phở restaurant I believe. If my friends didn’t already know where it was, I probably wouldn’t have found it. No clear sign on the outside. Mediocre tea. I ordered their berry blossom which is strawberry and raspberry green tea with fresh bits of strawberry. I’m usually a fan of sweet teas, but this tea was overly sweet for me, but what tasted weird was the strawberry bite were super sour. So you got this coyingly sweet tea and then suddenly a burst of sour from the fruit. Weird combination. Their cups are pretty big though, like their regular is probably a large at other places, and their large is HUGE.

They don’t make drinks that good here. I prefer the Tully location. Got my usual Jasmine Milk Tea w/Boba and it had a really funny after taste. We had to throw the drinks away after a couple sips

The jasmine milk tea tasted like soap. When we told the cashier it was bitter, she blew us off and told us to add sugar. Like, seriously? The girl with the dyed hair looks and acts like she doesn’t give a fuck about her job. She gives you this glare whenever you ask for something. Complete garbage service. Go to 85 café instead or T-pumps. So much better than this trash. Edit: The phở was also mediocre. The soggy noodles mixed with the lukewarm soup is pretty bad. The broth tasted like it was made the morning of then sat there all day without replacement.

I came here first when it was called Sipatea, and I fell in love with their concept of fruity and refreshing teas. I know someone who is the graphic designer for Jazen tea, so I decided to check out this place again after the upgrade. Although I make an effort to try different flavors, I always keep coming back to the peach and lychee(is that correct?) drink! Everything else tends to be too sweet and overpowering for me. I also love how their portions are humongous!!! You get so much for so little!

Jazen green milk tea is always good. Refreshing after a meal and comes in super large cup!

I’ve been a long time fan of Jazen Tea — I’ve actually been a supporter since they were called Sipatea!(fun fact) This is one of my favorite boba places as far as a standard pearl milk tea goes(I’m not a huge fan of their fruity flavors — just a matter of personal preference). If you want a regular jasmine milk tea with pearls, COMEHERE. Their portions are great for the price you pay(LOVE the chubby cup). Also, treat yourself to a free add-on when you check-in with Unilocal!;) I recommend adding coffee jelly with your honey pearls. ALSO, get a «fivestars» card if you haven’t already! Rack up points every time you come here for a free drink. Keep in mind, this isn’t going to be the BEST boba you’ve ever had, but it’ll be a pretty standard, above average drink. Fun story: My friend ordered the«lychee explosion» to-go for a refreshing drink in the car one hot summer afternoon. As we drove off, she was buckling her seat belt with the chubby cup resting on the divider(it didn’t fit in the cup holder). I was making a sharp turn, when all of a sudden my friend started screaming in the back seat. I looked back, and sure enough, a «lychee EXPLOSION» had happened. Now we joke about it whenever we come here!

It’s taken a lot of courage to write this review. I really want to love this place like I used to. I really do. It’s been about two years since my last review, and the quality has just gone downhill. I either get the green tea or the tutti frutti. The green tea is about the most bitter thing I have ever tasted and there is zero sugar added. On the other hand, the tutti frutti tastes like you’re drinking pure sugar. When I go to Phở Hoa with my friends, I either throw away my drink later or I won’t even bother ordering one. When I used to come here, I thought the two drinks tasted almost identical. It’s also like this in the Castro location. It’s really a shame that Jazentea’s quality has gone down, and I don’t think I’ll be returning unless my friends bring me here again… So long, Jazentea.(Sipatea) It’s been real.

Too sweet. Ugh. But I already a groupon for five drinks. Darn you, Groupon. :( I tried their Tutti Frutti the second time, at the recommendation of the employee who helped me, but I liked it even less than the first time, when I tried Lychee Explosion. The tea is overly sweet, and yes, the fruit bits are cool, but not when I can’t even taste them because they are completely overpowered by the«sugar water» tea. * sigh* What will I try next… Gotta use the rest of my groupon, I guess…

This has been my favorite Jazen Tea location but tonight’s drink warranted a review update. I usually order a black tea here and tonight’s drink must have been the worst to date. Usually, their tea is flavorful and refreshing but instead, it tasted watered down. Their usual fresh fruit bits in the drink tasted soggy/mushy. I’ve noticed their drinks haven’t been consistent during my last few visits here so I’m not sure if it’s due to new staffing. I just know that I’ve had better here and was disappointed tonight by my drink.

Good thing we read the Unilocal reviews and found out that this Jazen was located INSIDE of Phở Hoa! Thanks fellow Unilocalers! We ordered the Lychee Explosion and the Tutti Fruity and I fell in love with the Lychee Explosion drink! I think the texture of the lychee pieces in the drink was what made the drink taste sooooo good! I didn’t like the Tutti Fruity that much because the mango pieces in the drink was a tad too hard and that basically ruined the drink.

This is inside of Phở Hoa, so when we tried looking for it the first time we got totally turned around. Plus there’s no sign outside to tell you that it’s inside. But we found it and we liked it. We had the Jasmine milk tea with honey boba and lychee jelly, lightly sweetened. The first time, our lightly sweet was more sweet then we thought, but when the ice melted it worked out. The second time it was just right. They have their own staff, not the phở hoa staff. So make sure you get their staff, or there might be some confusion on orders and eventually they have to get a Jazen staff anyway so save yourself the time.

Phở Hoa is definitely getting«with the times,» now that they have their own boba shop inside their phở restaurant! I grew up with this phở place in my hood, and it’s so strange that they’ve built a separate counter selling milk teas and jazen drinks. But I had to try it out – I mean their cups are the fat round kinds that you find in SF boba places like Purple Kow and the famous Half & Half in LA. I’m definitely a boba bish, and unfortunately, Jazen did not live up to my standards. The tea itself was alright – I requested NOSUGAR just because all asian tea stations are too sweet for my liking(no diabetes in a cup, please!). I also got their regular milk tea with honey boba as the topping. The boba itself was not up to par – it wasn’t chewy enough, and cooked to the point of being a bit too mushy like jello. Other than that, the service was quick and the girl who took my order was efficient and kind. Nothing super extraordinary about Jazen – other than the big cup size(get the regular… it’s enough) and the location being inside a phở shop. Wouldn’t come back just for their tea though.

Tried this when it used to be Sipa tea and I loved it, especially since it was a nice change from the usual milk teas we have in the area. I had the lychee explosion then and I’m happy it’s still on the menu because it was super tasty! Took me over a year after they changed their name to come try another tea and they didn’t disappoint. I kind of feel like their teas are Asian/tea equivalents of agua frescas, which is so cooling during the summer time. One of the cashiers(I don’t know his name :() was very helpful in my decision. But I got the mango fuzz and used my free add on to get lychee jelly! The mango bits were a little too hard but everything else tasted great. Some of their drinks seem to be a hit or miss though. My friend’s tea was too sweet and almost artificial tasting to be refreshing.

I love this place because they use real fruit toppings in their teas! At $ 3.55 for a «small»(it is actually HUGE– think Purple Kow or Half&Half-sized fat cups), including at least 2 – 3 toppings(fruit/boba), it is a great deal. My go-to is the Green Tea, which is Jasmine green tea with chopped up mango, strawberry, and pineapple bits. I got it 0% sweet, and all the natural sweetness from the fruits gave the overall drink a good balance. I’ll admit that the teas are not as «strong» as other tea places(ie. Fantasia, Ten Ren, etc.) because they’re not brewed per cup, but I really love the fruity bits :) Register for a 5-stars to get a free drink per 10 drinks.

**3.5 Stars** Sipatea shares space with Phở Hoa. Phở Hoa was never quite that popular and the new arrangement has definitely increased the floor traffic here. You go to the front to order drinks and an easy to read sign guides you through the choices: Tea sips, Smooth Sips(fruit smoothie topped with whip cream), and Snow Sips(fruit smoothies topped with fruit bits) Prices are fair at $ 3.75 for a 32 ounce tea and $ 4.25 for a 25 ounce Snow sip. I found my tea based drink refreshing and not overly sweet and enjoyed the mango fruit bits inside. Overall, solid tea. The snow sip may be a bit more interesting though probably filling too.
