3 hrs to patch a tire at a higher rate than any other auto shop. I could install a wire harness faster than any of their lazy ass mechanics can do the patch. While they sit around and joke with each other little do they know that mechanic work will slowly become automated. Keep up the great work guys having the lowest rating!

I’ve given these guys so many chances but I just can’t hold back anymore. This is literally the most shady car shop I’ve ever been to.
I can’t believe they can call themselves Goodyear. Every single time I come in for an oil change, they try and overcharge me and tell me there are 7 or so things wrong with my car that MUST be fixed (of course requires more money).
This last time I took in my car for an oil change, I had literally just replaced my transmission fluid one month ago. They told me that «your transmission fluid is so old it must be replaced.» WOW. What is wrong with them? These workers know nothing about cars and are the definition of shady dealers.
Please do not support this business unless you have to. I’m so tired of there repeated horrific business practices.
Stay away at all costs.

I have never seen staff be this lazy. I sent in my dad to get his tire changed on his f.150 truck and first of all the employee assigned to us did not want to bother raising the truck. Instead he chose the laziest way to start and was sitting there being extremely rude to my much older father. This guy had no patience and looked so confused. Next I had the manager on duty today April 4^th morning shift (I assumed details are nessasary for when I sent this up the ladder to corporate) talk down to my dad for coming in and stating what a horrible job his employee was doing. Clearly it’s time corporate steps in and they will receive copies of every customer experience I’ve read on this buisness. Took my buisness down the street and am so glad I did.

Get on their email list and they will email you coupons for oil changes. I got a synthetic blend oil change and free tire rotation for $ 40. If you don’t have coupon you can get both for $ 50, which is still way better than Toyota dealer.

Oh my god. They’ve actually gotten worse. I just wanted an oil change. They had a long laundry list of stuff that was wrong with my car. Jokes on you, I just had it serviced by the dealership last month. How dare you! On top of that they were complaining that my battery had some corrosion — that was not there before. When I went to pick it up, my car was dead. What the hell Goodyear, what have you been doing to my car? So they had to jumpstart it but then my radio had locked up and I had to find a passcode to unlock it. And the maintenance light was still on as well. The guy helping had to reset the computer for that (I’m started to doubt whether they actually do any work on my car or if they just drain batteries and reset computers). As for the radio, he had no clue what to do. A quick google search had an answer for me. They’re the most incompetent conniving people. Enough is enough. Don’t bring your car here for anything.

Dishonest, shady scumbags that give auto repair shops a bad reputation. I ended towing my car to another shop!
Brought the car in because my brakes weren’t responding this was the closest auto shop I could bring the car into. Diagnosis fee was 57 $.
The MANAGER (Jim) gave me a call an hour later, said that the master cylinder needs replacing and that it would be $ 400. I asked instead to check the brake booster and the hoses AND sure enough it was just a hose that had be pinched.
Not only did they try to sell me the wrong service. They damaged 3 of my wheel studs which made my car unsafe to drive. They claimed the studs were already damaged and it would be $ 350 to replace them (this price is ridiculous as well). Little did they know I had already replaced them JUST TWO DAYS ago by a trusted and reputable mechanic in San Jose. They refused to write a statement that the wheel studs were damaged already. They refused to write a statement that they HAD NOT damaged the wheel studs. Instead the manager wanted to just stand there and stare at me while I asked where is my car four times, FOUR, before he said «idunno» Unbelievable service.
So luckily I knew a thing or two about my car or else I would have paid $ 400+ for parts and services that WOULD NOT have fixed my brakes. I asked why did they not checked before as it is a VITAL component of the system and their response? «We did not have the complete diagnostics.» I paid for them to give me a diagnostic yet i was the one doing it for them. Shady dishonest people who try to take advantage of people.
I hope this shop goes out of business.

Do not ever come here dishonest with price, bad customer service, I will not recommend anyone. I wait 3 hours and they told me they order the wrong tires for me. Hello, I though they do tires? And the manger David is useless, please If you not on a hurry do not came to that store ever.

My experience here was consistent with the other reviewers — which means their dishonest business practices haven’t changed.
There’s some good to go to this place:
— oil changes (synthetic)
— alignment
— replacing the battery
— tires (with the right deal, at the right time)
It’s no secret — they’ve been overcharging (by 30−40%) on both parts & labor. They basically sold my relative an entire strut/​brake replacement on both the front & back for ~$ 1300 — and consistent with other reviewers’ experiences — it was both unnecessary and ~40% more than it should be.
They don’t have terrible customer service — it’s actually what I expected. However, servicing a car when it didnt need to be serviced, overcharging greatly on both parts/​labor, and generally taking advantage of customers — not exactly building that trust with customers that they’ll need to grow the business.
But for the quick oil change — yeah, they’ll do. Make sure you properly consult someone if they tell you something «needs» to be fixed.

They do not even honor their online appointment system. It is the same as walk-​in. After waiting in the store for 2 hours for an oil change with an online appointment, my car was still in the parking lot waiting for service. The technician then told me they only service the cars in order of drop off time, regardless of appointment or not. The service man was not professional and rude. Don’t go to this store!

UPDATE! So, as I mentioned in my first review Goodyear is the only store in my area that carries my rare tire so I had no other choice then to go back to this god awful place. I called early in the morning speaking with James. the same stubborn old man with a cactus shoved up his rear end answered my phone call (just my luck) LOL!
I go onto ask politely for my 255 — 35 — 22r Goodyear supercar tire. James pauses for a second and asked me «weren’t you here about a month ago?» I replied «yes» he went on ask me «didn’t you leave a bad review?» I again replied «yes, and I’m not the only one» he then put me on hold to «check» his warehouse and surrounding stores for my tire and within a few seconds he gets on the phone and says:“no, we don’t have it. our surrounding warehouses are out as well” I asked: «no other stores in the area has them in stock?» he replied «no». I then go on to Thank him and call the nearest Goodyear off of Winchester and Stevens Creek in San Jose, A few miles from the DE Anza location.
I was greeted with an upbeat, welcoming voice with such enthusiasm to help me. I going to ask the cells representative for my tire and if they had it in stock. he replied «yes, and we can get it in am hour or two delivered today!»
So, long story short. Old geezer from DE Anza lied to me. yup. Goodyear employs liers and people who don’t know a thing about common courtesy or real customer service.
The guy is from Goodyear Winchester we’re all amazing, friendly, welcoming, and had some of the best attitudes I’ve ever encountered in the tire business. I Urge you to skip this terrible location and do yourself and your family a favor and drive down couple of miles on Stevens Creek to the Winchester location in the Valley Fair parking lot. Those guys are epic! –Jayare.

Thank goodness this place is open on Sunday. My left front tire was flat, and Lexus Service is closed on Sunday. I didn’t have the «key» that Lexus requires to remove the fifth bolt on the wheel, so Goodyear had to remove the entire wheel in order to fix the tire. It took one hour and I was good to go. Later in the week I got another flat and went to Lexus for that repair. They checked the Goodyear repair and said that «Those guys did a good job.»

Parked in front of their open garages with a few of the employees hanging out by the tools. I asked if they could check my brakes, they said I need to go inside. So I go inside and ask to get my brakes checked. The two men in the front laugh and say I’ll have to leave my car there for a while. I don’t know much about cars, but I didn’t think it took «certified technicians» more than a minutes to check the brakes in Toyota Corolla. Disappointing.

Extremely expensive. Misleading & unnecessary repairs.
Have had both my cars here several times, and I guess I hadn’t learned my lesson. I have now.
Last year they (previous management I think) wanted me to replace my rack & pinion to fix a clunking sound for $ 1300. That was after they convinced me to buy 4 new shocks/​struts that they thought was likely the problem (needed them anyway). Turned out to be a $ 40 sway bar bushing. Fixed it myself and complained bitterly. He told me that they would have given me credit for the part in that case (part was only a fraction of the overall cost) had they gone through with the rack.
More recently, brought my car there for a no start condition. They charged me $ 120 to tell me its the fuel pump, which I already figured. They gave me a price for the pump and filter replacement of $ 1150. Extremely high, but I needed my car, and it wasn’t running, so no real choice. Ask why so much and he said that they have to drop the tank and that the pump is really expensive from BMW.
After getting car back, I see the kids carseat is removed, so I am a little curious. Did a search online, and it turns out they didn’t have to drop the tank — making it a very easy fix (probably 1 hr labor).
To top it off, they charged me $ 625 for the pump, and commented that BMW was REALLY expensive. I know there is some markup, but called BMW in Mountain View and they sell the part for $ 340 (retail, mind you!). The only thing expensive about this BMW is the markup on the part they charged me (300%).
Will not be bringing my car here again, at any cost.
As a matter of fact, I am getting so angry writing this review that I am changing my review from 2 stars down to one.
If the management there evens dares to justify this in a reply, I will be very glad to post my receipt and that of. I don’t understand why so many auto repair places can’t just give an honest price for the work they do.

Several years ago I hated this place. They recommended services I did not need and seemed very dishonest. My most recent visit for tires improved my opinion.
The Good: they recommended that I have some steering repairs and my struts replaced. My car has almost 70k miles on it, so that seemed reasonable and now the vibration is gone. I was also there for an oil change, tire rotation and balance, to get new tires and new get new wiper blades. They realized a day later that the wiper blades were not replaced so they called me back and I came in for a refund. GOOD JOB!
The Bad: For my oil change, George tried to upsell me on a different oil. When I declined, he told me it was on sale, so I went ahead and got the upgrade. Seemed a little sketchy.
I purchased the tire service for the lifetime of the tires and also the alignment service, so I’ll be back. If the repairs work out okay, I’ll be back again. The jury is still out on this one, but I have been impressed with the improvements in honesty and customer service thus far.

Some of the employee become defensive or have attitude when you say no to there suggestions. Had an oil change package where tire rotation was to be included and after marking my tires before hand noticed they did not do it even when I specifically asked for it to be done. I have no trust in them anymore even when it comes to a basic oil change.

Very bad service.
I was pressed for time. So i requested the person at the front desk to put in the spare so I could get other work done. He showed so much attitude and threatened to put me back in the queue if i didnt wait.
He said he will give me the car in 10 minutes, but for 40 minutes they held me up there and then gave me the car back.
We had agrees on that they would give me the car with spare and fix the tire later, but they did not think my time was valuable.
Really bad manner of talking and very rude customer service. Will never visit again.
Not recommended at all.

I went in for a simple tire change and they say something will be done in a short time and then not respond for over an hour with no ability to predict their time. They don’t even bother telling me to come back after a while. The person up front says he’ll tell me an estimate and then forgets to check and has me wait for 20 more minutes with no information. This will be the last time I come here.

We took our van in to this place the day before yesterday. We had brought it in the night before and they said they would start at 8:00 the next morning diagnosing our «check engine light.» I called at 10:30 and they told me they were working on it, but they would call me and let me know when they found the problem. I called again at 12:00 and was told they had a code, but they weren’t quite sure what it meant. They knew it had to do with the EVAC system, but…
I told them at this time to please let me know what the problem was and to diagnose anything else that could be a problem with the van.
Each time I was told they would call me. Hours went by and no one called. I had to call back and check each time.
Finally, we went in and picked up the van. No work had been done, but the diagnosing was more or less completed. They «didn’t have an estimate right now as they were waiting on a company to call back on the availability of a part.
To make a long story short, he told us they call us in the morning (today) and since they had all of our information, it was just a matter of putting the estimate together. It is 3:45 in the afternoon now and I’m done being patient. Again, I was told they’d call but no one ever did. I called back and asked where the estimate was. There was still a problem with the part… AHHHHHH!
Zero customer service, no one there who could give me a straight answer. I told the man I was dealing with that I’d never bring a vehicle back to him. It’s very possible the guy who was under the car did an excellent job, but the customer service is horrible. We are now out 100.00 or so for the diagnosis with no estimate or idea of what is wrong with the van. I’ll either get the money back or finally get the estimate.
If you are a mechanic here, talk to your bosses. Make sure you are being represented fairly. When a long time customer like me will never come back, it hurts hard working people like you.

My go to place for small repairs on my car, since my car is still under warranty, I go to the dealer for most things, but when things are not warranty related or just simply something that cannot wait; I.e. low air in tire, broken light bulb,… I stop by and they very good in getting me in right away and get things done right then and there.
They are very helpful in explaining the issue and suggesting solutions, and provide fast service. I only get tires from them when they are on sale as that is the best time for good deals.

Friendly, efficient and all around great service. They replaced my cracked valve stem in under an hour. Next time I need tires, I will think of them first!
