The staff is very helpful there. I lost my badge, and was looking around, i called them in the morning, and they sent out someone to look for it. Although my ID was not found there, i still appreciate that they offered the help!

Good location, ok prices, and their air machine (for filling tires) has good space and only 25 cents.
However, the employees seem to think it’s ok to smoke on the station property. At a GAS STATION. Sometimes just outside the station building (in front), but also while walking near the pumps. Clearly there’s no concern for their own or their customers’ safety.

Totally corrupt place here. Big guy behind the counter is totally ripping the business off. I go in to buy a couple of sodas. Firstly the sign says 85 cents. He says a dollar. Secondly he does not ring anything up on the cash register, he just looks at what I am getting and gives me a price, me being really thirsty, I pay it. Then he says hmm I’m confused how much do I give you back? I told him how much change, even though its his job. Then he pulls change out of his pocket and gives it to me. No receipt, no cash register, totally scandalous. Whoever the owner is of the gas station needs to look into his inventory counts and draw counts. I am willing to bet he/​she will find a big gap in the bottom line. Plus this is not the first time this has happened to me here. Just saying. Rude, uninviting, and scandalous… Would not be going there again.

The employees at this place are not fit for autonomous thinking. My credit card suffered some kind of incident, and with only about $ 1.30 in cash, I was worried I might not be able to buy gas, which would have impeded my ability to get to the folsom street fair and clap eyes on some once-​a-​year horrors. Never fear, I’ve got google wallet on my phone! Or simpler yet, the clerk can simply punch in my credit card number and I’ll be out of here in no time! Right?
No dice. Not only is the clerk busy petting his cat (which is not a euphemism and was in fact sitting on the register) and looking sleazy, but when he does make time in his too-​action-​packed-​for-​customer-​service schedule to see what the hell I’m doing standing in his store, he can’t figure out how one would even begin to type in a credit card number. Nor has he heard of google wallet, or likely even google (though I didn’t ask). To be fair, this is apple country. And no, I was not in (or out of) costume for the fair.
My gas light was only just coming on as I pulled out to get out of customer condescension (aka apple) country and into a land more familiar with modern tools and more oriented toward customer service (aka google country)(Mountain View), and just to be safe I borrowed cash from a friend there, so I have no story about whether the same tactic would have worked at the Valero there.
tl, dr: Folks here are too dumb to type in a credit card number.

as an update, i’m almost done undoing the damage caused by Alan. If i were to add up how much it has truly cost, I think I would cry. I have to fix my car so I can get to school and work. so, the damage had to be undone. last week I went to the good mechanic that has been fixing alan’s horrible mistakes and had him redo the timing belt and water pump and other seals that are located under the same cover. the good mechanic said that whoever did the last timing belt job should loose his certification to work on cars. he said that bolts were in spots where they should not be and were missing where they were needed. I’m glad that i didn’t loose my engine due to Alan’s poor quality parts and workmanship. the water pump is being replaced tomorrow with the mechanic that has been doing a good job (located at another shop.) lesson learned, go to shops that specialize in your car and check there Unilocal rating first!!!

Bad service more than once!!! The first time was when I came for propane the attendant was too lazy to fill my tank for me and made an excuse not to help me out.
The second time I went to buy cigarets and as I pulled up to the station I had been smoking so when I got out of my car I put my smoke out and then threw it in the garbage. The guy inside was glaring at me standing at the doorway as I go to walk inside it was almost if he didn’t want me to even come in. (this was around 7 so they were still open for business hours)
Then I asked politely if he was closing and he rudely remarked that he was about to go outside to «do something» as if that was more important than helping me. I said oh ok as he shortly remarked «what did you need» and then followed with «you put that cigaret out before throwing it in that trash can right?» like I had done something wrong. My advice to this guy would be to not assume without the facts.
I ended up forgetting my I. d anyway so he got what he wanted which was to not have to help me. He could have made up for his rudeness by hooking me up considering I USED to go in there all the time since I live so close and they know I’m well above the legal age since he has seen my I.d. Probably 50 times!!!
This gas station is way over priced filled with grumpy old men that would rather sit on their ass than help you and they make you feel bad for asking anything… if they hate their jobs so much why don’t they go find new ones and make room for some nice people who know customer service!!!

I have been taking my car to their service technician, Alan. He is both excellent and courteous. Costs much less than the the dealers and his work is every bot as good. Strong recommendation!

Not sure why I keep doing this, but I was riding on empty for a while and remembered this gas station was here, so I jumped off the highway, filled up, and drove home instead of gettin stuck and having to push my car the rest of the way

After ripoff by dealer service… the first 2 fix it experiences have been very positive… considering my old clunker is a 92 MBZ. Allen, the mechanic, getz high marks + keeps me on the road in good fashion. As good as most independent MBZ shops… can fix anything. He gives early estimates too… to avoid any $$ misunderstanding.
