Defiantly one of my family’s favorite places to eat! It’s hard to resist saying no when someone mentions Provinos for dinner! I can’t think of anything anyone has ordered that we didn’t like. I think everything we’ve had or shared has always been pretty delicious! Best thing about Provinos, is consistency!

Inexplicably blah. No doubt an ideal family restaurant while maintaining some semblance of an Italian fare. We have dined her twice, the second would come to be a confirmation of the first. Meal as adequate, portions on the lighter side. For the price, it was middle of the road. What stood out to us however was the service. While I understand that depending on the hour, wait staff can be subject to a bit of flux, however, to be completely ignored both visits is kind of ridiculous. To the point where I had to abruptly gain the attention of other wait staff merely to let someone know we’d been seated. I understand age can sometimes be a reflection of quality of service, but quite frankly, the place is ridiculous. Staff would hurriedly walk by us both ignoring my attempt to politely gain their attention. I shouldn’t have to ostensibly horse collar a kid to get a glass of water or take our order. Hard pass.

We always love this place! The food is always delicious, especially the rolls and salad! Today I had to write a review to give recognition to the great service from our server shauna(I hope I am spelling correctly) She was absolutely lovely and greatly attentive. Restaurants need more servers like her. We will only request her from now on. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you Shauna for the excellent dining experience!

My absolute favorite restaurant for the last 10 years. I have never been disappointed by service, tastiness of food, cleanliness of restroom, etc. I come here every year for my birthday and last year we went for Valentines day as well. They don’t take reservations, but seated us on Valentines day — with a complimentary flower — in less than 20 minutes. Their garlic rolls and salad come before every meal and cannot be beat. They BLOW any and every Italian restaurant out of the water.

First time in our marriage I have seen my husband ever really not want to tip a waitstaff person. Service was just lazy and bad. Once she finally got to our table, she stood at end of table and sat down drinks and we had to reach over and get them. Asked her to describe a dish and she said back, «what do you want to know»? She did not remove our plates unless we handed them to her. Food was ordinary but service was just bad.

If you want an okay dinner filled with okay pasta, yummy garlic rolls and salad this is your place. For the money, you can’t beat it. Great place for families and big parties. We went here with a group of 10, service was prompt, drinks and rolls replenished quickly and the pasta was okay. A little bland and generic for my palate but not bad. The rolls were great as always, they’re supposed to be drenched with garlic butter by the way– it’s their signature. I was surprised that an Italian restaurant didn’t have prosecco though

Bland food and dinner serve on a salad sized plate. Frantic, kind of rude server. He would check in and before you could ask for something he was off. Held my water glass by the rim. Nothing like the original Provino’s.

Garbage! The only positive was our server! Rolls were soaked in garlic and butter. Chicken Marsala was awful. All entrees we ordered were terrible. Very disappointed with the quality of food for the price. Will NEVER go back !! Olive Garden is better!!!

I love this place. I will go here with my wife for the salad and garlic rolls alone. Although we do get other dishing sometimes also. everything we have had has been great. the salad and garlic rolls and just perfect. The only thing I don’t like is that they are not open for lunch. This would be the perfect place for endless garlic rolls and salad.

I was greeted by a very cheerful young hostess. She tried to figure out where to seat me on a Thursday night about 8:00 pm. She went wandering off to the various rooms to check. Apparently Table For 1 was difficult to find in a mostly empty restaurant. She attempted to sit me in a tiny booth for two that even Karen Carpenter would have had difficulty fitting in! I turned to find my hostess and told her I needed a table. An older dark hair lady was motioning No Not Her! I think she needed a cigarette! Anyways I was seated in a large room and was immediately greeted by a A+ Server. She was young, polite and took care of me! Their«wonderful» salad had too many things on it I do not eat and I requested a simple Caesar Salad — which they do not serve — SERIOUSLY!!! I was able to order a lettuce, cheese and dressing only salad. What arrived was a no green leaf salad with mostly all whitish watery thick core pieces. Basically the stuff I throw away at home. The crap salad is why I did not score this place a 5 star! The bread was amazing! Even better than my regular favorite place Ippolito’s! However Ippolito’s has a 110% better salad. The chicken parm at both places is excellent although different. I would eat either this very second!

We love provinos! There is usually a long wait if you go during peak times however the service is always great and quick once you get seated! I love the eggplant vegetable and my husband loves their lasagna!

Still love the food but they need to steer clear of 16 year old hostesses. They have no concept of time and will quote you a 30 minute wait and it will take damn near an hour. I am done with this place, no matter how much I like the eggplant it just isn’t worth the wait. ***We were finally seated 50 minutes later. As I ate my salad I found PAPER in it. The manager came over and tried to tell me it was their fresh grated CHEESE. I am married into a VERY Italian family and have been eating fresh grated cheese for darn near 15 years. I think I know the difference. I have come to this restaurant to celebrate our family’s special occasions for 8 years. Birthdays, promotions, anniversaries, I had my WEDDINGRECEPTION here. I am absolutely heartbroken that this is the review I am now giving Provino’s.***

I am not a huge fan of Italian food, but I agreed to go to attend a birthday party for a friend of my daughter. This was really good! We started off with Mozzarella di Fritto and artichoke hearts. There was warm garlic rolls, I didn’t eat any, but everyone else at the table, and there was 12 of us, devoured them up, with the birthday girl taking some home. I had Chicken and Eggplant. Consisted of chicken breast, topped with eggplant, ricotta, meat sauce and mozzarella. All I can say is I’m a believer!

I recently dined in for dinner with my girlfriend. We were sat and greeted by an irritated waiter. When he arrived with our drinks he quickly sat them down, threw our straws on the table and walked away. He came back, rushed us for our orders and sent them to the kitchen. While we were waiting, we took a glance at our surroundings. There was cluster all over the walls and dust and webs EVERYWHERE. We quickly decided to move on to another restaurant for our dinner.

Have to say my go to place for Italian in Cumming and Buford. Been coming to Provinos for some time and worked our way to standards we tend to stick with. Salad is a trade mark and something we look forward to. Dressed, in a big bowl, lots of garbanzo beans, veggies, even beets, with the bread can be a meal in itself. The veal and snapper franchese are what we come for. Light, great lemon wine sauce and something to crave. Other items like Lasagne, or the pastas are ok, but not bursting with flavor. The marsala has been good either veal or chicken and also a sauce that is touch and go spot on. Service for us has been very good, attentive and the place is really not overpriced. For an italian eatery, would recommend if your looking for comfort food at a reasonable price. If your looking for upscale italian, there are better options South of Cumming that I may go out of my way, but for market blvd, near the lake house, a standard for us locals.

Party of 3 plus 2 kids for lunch. Garlic rolls, salad, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, and some kinda clam linguine thingie. Big portions, lots of flavor. Service was friendly, helpful. I left $ 40 lighter and stuffed and burping. Went home, took a long nap, woke up 5 lbs heavier. Whats not to love.

Our experience was not very good. We ordered lasagna, alfredo, and some chicken dish but they were pretty bad. The pasta was so overcooked, it was too mushy and gross. The sauce for alfredo was tasteless. Also, my husband asked for any recommendation on their wine menu and our server said she doesn’t know because she doesn’t drink wine. You are supposed to know your menu even if you don’t drink wine! I think places like Olive Garden is even better than here.

I came here for my birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised. My last two experiences @ Provinos hasn’t been all that great(over burnt garlic rolls in Roswell or flavorless pasta dishes at Buford location). However, Cummings has me sold! Like another reviewer mentioned, we got to sit in the booth with the curtains. It gave us a more private, romantic vibe. Our server was outstanding from finish to end. On your bday, you get $ 12 off your check but that didn’t stop him from delivering fantastic service. We started off with the rolls and pasta. the rolls were fabulous! especially if you like garlic. i also enjoyed the salad with all of its toppings(beets, mozzarella cheese, olives, garbanzo beans). The pasta I ordered was the seafood trio with marinara and a side of rosatella. The marinara was on point and the seafood in it(shrimp, clam, scallops) were plentiful. When our meal ended, he brought out my spumoni dessert complete with a candle. Absolutely hooked on this Provinos and will be back even if it isn’t my birthday!

If you are getting a free birthday meal, it is good. If you are paying full price… it is just ok. Got the chicken marsala. It is not made with marsala wine, and they are great and will tell you that. I wish they would call it something else. It came out and was chicken in a soup of gravy looking wine sauce. With a few mushrooms mixed in. It was ok, but I would never order it again. The pasta that came on the side wasn’t great either. I was expecting more from the sauce. Husband got the shrimp pasta dish. The sauce in that was much better. The salad is great, and the bread is of course good as everyone mentions. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless it is your birthday. The service is pretty good, the ambiance is nice, and they are kind on your birthday.
