Zena Med Spa

Came here last Friday because I was in dire need of an facial looked on groupon and saw they had a (75) session with microdermabrasion for $ 49 Not bad at all called and booked an appointment the same day the location is decent I met the esthetician she was nice when I first went in the room it was burning ups or they turned the air on then of course it was freezing so she got me a blanket she when we first got into the facial she thought it was a 60 min session I advised her that it’s advertised for 75 mins I literally had to grab my phone and show her so then She finally got her manager to okay it. She asked what type of skin I have I told her dry then I asked her were her products organic she said she didn’t know but they were getting new products soon Red Flag I should’ve just gotten up at that point how could u possibly be an esthetician and not know what u are putting on my face that’s ridiculous the facial basically consisted of cleansing my skin then steam (her on her phone) her using the microdermabrasion machine then steam (her on her phone) more steam (her on her phone) then a 15 minute mask what type of mask who knows she didn’t tell me (her stepping outside the room to probably use her phone then waaaalaaa there goes 75 minutes of my time wasted I don’t call this a facial and I wouldn’t call her an licensed esthetician I don’t know if she was in training or something but this was horrible I would have to literally see her license to believe she had one.
The following Sunday I went to massage envy and had an actual facil for the same price super professional effective left with some great products to continue using on my skin to help get it Healthy if ur in need of a facil DO Notcome here I guarantee u will be disappointed and confused u literally couldn’t get me outta there fast enough smh.

Please measure you guys check their credentials because they don’t qualify for their services. I did the laser hair removal 10 times and didn’t work ;-(.

Incredible experience with knowledgeable staff. Loved relaxing in their jacuzzi and sauna before my massage and facial with Rula and Lupita.
They told me they do private day spa parties so I’m going to tell my girlfriend to have her birthday party there. I will be back!

I’ve only ever come here for haircuts, but I love them! The staff are accommodating and friendly, and Maria is my favorite hair stylist.

It’s Thursday and I’ve been trying to make an appointment since last week… someone finally got back to me today. I got a refund from Lifebooker, and will never use this spa’s services… apparently, I couldn’t use them even if I wanted to because it’s impossible to make an appointment. Overall, I’m not impressed!

I’m excited to write this review and share my experience with Zena Med SPA. The spa is a hidden gem in Culver City. The Spa is very clean, has a soothing ambiance and beautiful Egyptian décor. I was greeted by a Brian, whom I had spoken to on the telephone. He was professional, friendly and well informed about the services offered. I was offered tea or water while I filled out forms and waited to be seen for my service. It was nice to look through photo albums of patient before and after photos for various services and to see a video playing of before and afters with patient testimonies for the Obagi skin care products. Everyone I saw working at Zena had beautiful flawless skin. I immediately knew they were knowledgeable and could be trusted regarding my skin care challenges.
My first service was for Botox. I so appreciate that the registered nurse carefully reviewed my forms and took a lot of time to listen to my desires, evaluate my skin and give me realistic suggestion and expectations. She was very gentle with injecting the Botox and gave thorough after care information. I noticed results within 5 days and by day 10, I was completely satisfied with the results.
Because I was so pleased with my overall experience at Zena and my satisfaction with my initial service, I scheduled to have a facial. The aesthetician I met for the facial was very sweet and had gorgeous skin. Again, she asked about my concerns and offered recommendations for the type of facial I needed. She was so patient and knowledgeable about products and skin care. She made me feel incredibly comfortable. I received an enzyme facial with microdermabrasion. The facial was relaxing and painless. She explained what she was doing step by step and did so with such gentleness and care! I actually fell asleep during the steam and extractions! The facial left my skin looking hydrated, dewy and rejuvenated. My skin was transformed! She introduced me to Obagi skin care products and made suggestions to help my occasional breakouts and dark marks. I liked that she did not pressure me to buy the products that day. However, I did return and purchased them a few days later.
This spa is a complete personalized and customized experience and much more than just getting an ordinary service. The entire staff goes out of their way to give you the ultimate experience that caters to your needs and pays attention to details. They take the time to listen, care, explain, and educate. To me, that is priceless. In additional they are all the most professional, knowledgeable and experienced in what they do and they have the results to prove it.
I’m extremely pleased with my experience so far and have booked my next appointments for a photofacial and follow up microdermabrasion. I plan to have monthly facial treatments at Zena Med Spa. Besides metered parking being my only small issue, I HIGHLY recommend Zena Med Spa for skin care with experts who give the highest quality services.
