Time Warner Cable Business Class

Ugh. Where do I begin. Snowed into a very hastily drawn up contract and it was very cleverly hidden that it was for three years. An employee no longer working for me set this up and definitely didn’t run it by me. Then– my business phone line was ported 3 days early. The reason this is such a big problem is that we’re a hair salon on a cloud based booking system, so not only could we not answer our phones because they were ringing at a place still under construction, but we couldn’t book appointments for an entire weekend, which resulted in not only lost clients, but an entire weekend of lost revenue. Our rep Charlo who assured me he would «personally take care of us» was nowhere to be found. Most recently, I realized our 3 line VM wasn’t working, so if we were on the phones and another client called they weren’t able to leave a message… When we called Time Warner about this they said we had never set it up! We did. It was one of the first things we did when we opened. It was disabled at some point by someone at Time Warner, but of course they «have no record of this». I guess my biggest problem is that I’m paying a fortune for substandard service, and when we try to get help we are always greeted and «helped» by people of questionable intelligence. «May I speak to your supervisor?» «I am the supervisor». «May I speak to a manager?» «I am the manager.» «What is your name?» No answer. The contract signed isn’t my signature. That’s my only recourse. Where’s Charlo?

I called to upgrade. the woman on the phone was very rude and couldn’t answer my questions. I asked to talk to a manager and she hung up on me.

I paid $ 40 for installation and they installed cable boxes from 6 years ago that didn’t even match the buttons on the remote. Then I was told I had to go to a time warner location and get new boxes. AFTER I stayed home half a day from work and now I have to go to their store and pick up new and relevant boxes on my own time.

The most unethical company I’ve ever worked with in my 35 years owning a business. I looked for ZERO stars, but that’s not an option. The pattern of deception started when I responded to a direct mail offer, and before switching from ATT, I asked the TW rep Noah Bagby to check and see if other people in my building were using TW, and if so, what % of the bill came from «taxes and surcharges». He assured me it would be less than 15% taxes and surcharges, so I made the switch (32% of the ATT bill was from «taxes and surcharges»). The first bill comes, and the taxes and surcharges were $ 76 out of the $ 240 bill — 32%!!! I called Noah to asked what happened, and he said I’d have to contact his billing dept. who provided ZERO explanation or reparation. Next deception: TW knew we’d be moving our office within the year, and we agreed to the $ 150 moving fee. When I called in the move order, Patricia Martinez sent paperwork to be signed, which EXTENDED our contract another year past the original term! I had that corrected, and when the next contract came over, I failed to notice they had given themselves a $ 15/​month RATE INCREASE, so I signed what I thought was a «move order» and now I’m stuck in a contract with this horrible company for another 2 years. So sorry I left ATT:(I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Criminal organization. Absolutely outright lied to by TWBC rep who confirmed what our new monthly charge would be before the contract was signed, of course the bill is something quite different but because a contract was signed there is no recourse. We will wait out the year contract and immediatelly drop these crooks. And all this in a market where Verizon FIOs has just started up. The best Verizon workers work at Time Warner Business Class these days. Absolutely unacceptable for a company to conduct its business in this fashion, save yourself the headache, two strings and a can are better than anything TWBC has to offer. .. ..

Ever since we’ve signed our contract with them, we’ve been seeing a strange charge on our invoices every single month. When we call in to ask what the charge is for, nobody can figure it out. Every single time they take down our number and tell us they will look into it and call us back. We’ve talked to over 15 people, even supervisors, and not one person has figured it out or even bothered to call us back. The customer service is horrendous and they don’t give a single f*ck about you after the contract is signed. We can’t figure out if they’re all idiots or apathetic, or both. We’re on month 7 now (yes, dealing with this issue for 7 months), and we have no choice but to keep paying our invoices in full otherwise risk getting our service cut off, which is vital to our business. We are on the verge of contacting a lawyer about this issue. We have already threatened to do so and they STILL will not simply take that charge off or explain to us what it is for.
I think it’s hilarious that one of the employees or managers posted a picture of himself on this Unilocal page. I would be hiding my face in shame.

Unbelievable the speed was ok for the first 3 months then they screw it for you to upgrade call and call and call and no one can help very lame disrespectful

I have a residential Internet service at home and business class for office. On the whole Time Warner service is sub-​par: fees, crappy service, etc. The business class is simply terrible as they gouge you on price for even worse service than the residential. My home network is twice as fast for almost half the price. They offer nothing extra for business class and in fact you get terrible connection at robbery rates. That’s what you get when one company monopolizes the neighborhoods: pay the extortion or have no real Internet service.
As far as I am concerned I say regulate the crap out of the telecom industry. Government should get in there and regulate prices, encourage competition, if need be literally break up the likes of TW instead of allowing the Comcast merger. FCC needs to straighten these SOBs out.

Add me to the list. I signed up, I have TWC at home. Thinking it would be about as much stable as it was at home, I switched over my phone and internet at my business.
What initially startled me was that it was basically the same router as I had at home. I thought all that extra cost would result in a higher end router but it was the exact same model I had at home. The phone line was an improvement over copper for call quality. However, over the course of a year, we had numerous internet outages lasting several hours. We had numerous phone outages lasting several hours. The loss to our revenue was in the tens of thousands. So it was basically the most expensive phone and internet service you could possibly buy. And it was embarrassing to our business…
I don’t understand their pricing scheme or their lack of stability. But this is anything but business class. The support was horrible, they don’t give a damn how much they destroyed your business either. Charter Spectrum business offers 60MB internet service for $ 39.99 a month. Time Warner’s home service gives you 50MB service for $ 34.99. Time Warner’s 7MB business class is $ 75 a month, uses the same equipment as their residential lines but modem is configured to run at a snail’s pace! You pay over twice as much as their residential for ¹⁄₇^th of the speed. If anything, my home service was much more stable even though I paid less.
Stay away business owners, no matter how tempting it seems. I’m back to DSL and copper and it’s a marked improvement in all facets.

Jokes on me I guess for not Unilocaling before signing up for their service. Internet and WiFi work fine. However trying to utilize their email service is a nightmare. My company has not been able to receive email for 4 days as of right now. My only contact with tech support was via a voicemail and my salesmen doesn’t return calls. They seem to say and promise anything, but don’t have a clue how to provide their supposed services. Do not use them!!! Why do I even have to give them 1 star?

Does anyone from customer support (ha ha) to techs and everyone in between have a ½ a brain combined? They can’t seem to get any part of a work order correct — it’s been a 6 week time warp of supidity dealing with these morons.
I really want to change to a much better AT&T, but I was threatened by Time Warner that they would charge me a $ 2000 penalty if I left. I moved business locations and they insisted on keeping me by putting a financial noose around my neck. Is this even legal?
It took them 3-​weeks to «arrange» the switch over — I only moved 3 miles down the road in the middle of sprawling LA! Then it took 3 separate «appointments» before a tech showed up 4 hours late (9pm) to do the install in my location. He refused to take my old equipment and told me to drive it to a TWC location for drop-​off — REALLY?
Supposedly they couldn’t keep my phone number (again I moved 3 miles down the road — same area code) and arbitrarily assigned me a random number and negated my 10 year old business #!!! I am not an engineer but this makes no sense! And it’s hindering my business.
I can go on and on, but I am just getting angry writing this, so I will end my review.

I have used TWC for my home for years, it’s okay! But for business is a different story! DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR BUSINESS! We signed up with them after they came to our office and offered us the world, but what we got was the worst experience any business owner can have. We had voice over IP and our phones weren’t working because of bad connection, but TWC told us that the problem wasn’t coming form their side. I used to spend hours on the phone everyday with the phone company, I lost so much business because customers couldn’t hear us. We changed our phone company, but the problem persisted, TWC told me to increase my speed, we kept increasing the speed and we kept paying more and more money. But the problem wasn’t fixed, they kept insisting that the problem wasn’t from their side. Every time they sent me one of those clowns who didn’t know ANYTHING about internet to give me a new modem. We finally figured out that the latency was WAAAAAAAAAAAY too high and the upstream was not steady and had spikes, this was according to the report ran by the ONLY honest TWC agent. We switched internet right away and the problem was solved. Now they want me to pay them for the service they did NOT provide. Their poor service and dishonesty cost my business almost 100,000, now they want their payments? After I reported them to BBB, they promised to waive my payment, then they sent me to collection. Such dishonest scam artist. If you are a business owner, take my words, stay away from these people. They whole company is based on dishonesty. I am not surprised that they have all those ONE star ratings. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

as i write this i have been on hold for time warner business class service for over 30 minutes… i pay almost $ 200 per month for my time warner internet service and below is my last speed test… that’s worst than the dial up modem i had 15 years ago!!!

Time Warner Cable Business Class is a complete joke.
As a customer that pays upwards of $ 1000/​month, you’d think that they would actually show up to appointments for upgrades.
EER! WRONG! I’m going on the THIRD appointment that they haven’t showed up to. My first two appointments were from 1 – 5 PM — they called me at 6:45 PM to let me know they were late. NO SHIT.
Now we’re on the third appointment which was from 8 – 12 PM. At 11:30 AM they said they were going to be late. It’s not 3 PM and they are still not here.
RUN RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN.

AT&T has been one of the most God-​awful, backward ass, unionized POS companies since the 90’s. Never would I even think of that company as being on my monthly bill payments … then I met TWC. 3x the cost, ¹⁄₃ the speed of other business class. Outages. Intermittent connectivity. Philippine tech support.
My $ 6,000 Cisco VOIP system sits in a box. A call over the VOIP results in an underwater sounding, incoherent jumble of grunts when anyone else is streaming, downloading or using the internet at the same. BUT, if we yell across the office when the phone rings and tell everyone to GTF off the internet, then we can take a call. BUSINESS CLASS AT IT’S FNEST.
FU TWC. You are a rotten $hitpile of an organization. That goes for the FCC, POTUS and the rest of you govt a-​holes who have allowed this country to end up in the bottom of the pile in terms of pricing, reliability and speed. For anyone not aware, the internet was first built out in the US. We now rank behind 40 other countries on the list of speed/​reliability/​pricing.

TWC is not an ISP but rather a criminal organization that practices pure collusion and defrauds their customers. Their monopoly on local Internet access is both illegal (not as far as the FCC is concerned) and a sub-​standard product.
If you’re a business owner stay far, far away from this company.
Not only is their service one of the worst in the world but their decision to 3x-​4x prices for their «business» customers is simply criminal. But nobody gives a shit, not your president or your FCC or the members of the FCC being wined and dined by Comcast/​TWC to keep this lovely practice going.
The more people actually stand up to these atrocious companies and not use their products, the more hope there is for change. Because this simply cannot continue.

Time Warner has NEVER finished the install up to Tier 3 speeds! I have a working network but not at the speeds ordered, rather much slower.

This company is the absolute worst — an absolute nightmare. Where to begin? First there is HORRIBLE service — intermittent internet that cuts out 20, 30, often 40 times per day thus disrupting work and making trying to run a business torture. Crappy phone service that also works only part time. Then there is the rude, jaw droppingly inept customer service that talks in circles and accomplishes literally nothing. NOTHING. Oh, and be prepared for stock excuses — all the reps have a script of lame excuses up their sleeves. Also, price wise they basically give you literally the same basic service you’d have at home but slap on a ‘business’ label and double the prices for no apparent reason.
Overall, if you want third world internet/​phone with horrific, lazy, incompetent customer service that hampers your ability to run a business properly — then this is the right place for you.

I wish I could give them zero stars! I called the day I signed my lease to set up service and 2 weeks later I still do not have an installation date 2 days away from opening the doors of my business! I have called no less than 5 times. I have been hung up on, sent through endless transfers an I still do not have what I need. I will let them no that I am going with AT&T whenever they finally do call.

I have TWC internet at home. No issues. Solid connection and very fast speeds for a great price. TWC offers a «Business Class» version of the same product, only for business. I own a business and signed up. What I found totally ridiculous was the price. You pay a LOT more and get LESS. I think I pay roughly $ 40 at home for 20 meg downloads. At my office, I pay roughly $ 110 (3 year special) for 10 meg download. I asked, and the answer was — with «Business Class» you get better service. I’m thinking — I never need service at home — the connection is solid. So, turns out — we did need «service» at the office… my business… paying for Business Class service… and I had to wait til the next day for a tech. I dunno… something just seems wrong with this «Business Class» price/​service plan.
