I ordered a latte and asked what kind of milk they usually use. The person behind the counter said, «Whatever. Usually the first milk I can find in the fridge.» Um… what? What about consistency with your customers? The latte ended up being ok, and the food was pretty average. I’d come back if I just wanted a bagel and a quick coffee.

Not directly related to your food, however your maintenance, currently there is a huge gushing water leak coming from your sprinkler system, as I was on a run I saw it, attempted to fix it, then called the fire department to see if they could help, since it is private they cannot. However they did inform me that this has happened before! Fix your pipes!!! This is the only way I found to try and contact you, I called, not voicemail so hopefully you see this, get out of bed and save all the wasted water that otherwise will run all night long.

The hot cocoa is great, the food is healthy and fresh, and the owners are very kind. But this seems more like a place to grab a quick healthy bite or coffee and not a place to work on your laptop for too long. I found the décor to be a bit too hipstery(rickety tables and uncomfortable chairs) and there were not a lot of outlets if you wanted to charge your phone/laptop/e-reader. I will definitely be back for the food, though.

Cute little joint. In and out, quick and easy. This is the type of place you roll out of bed in you sweats and a hoodie to pick up some morning grub. B-: Tuna Panini — Cripsy bread, tuna was very bland but with a little help of sriracha, makes it taste good A: Bagels — very fresh and flavorful, the everything bagel was an explosion of seeds, very good and large Again, a quick and easy place to get food.

We love The Spot! Its a quiet, low key place with great food and coffee. Inexpensive, great service, and cute atmosphere. I go there with my 3 year old son all the time. The board games keep him busy while I’ll enjoy my favorite Fluffy Eggs dish and a coffee. My husband goes there right after his bike rides exiting from the ballona creek bike trail. There is free street parking but I always can find a spot no problem. Great little local spot.

Really cute spot on Overland. I like the food, and the entertainment in the back room is a welcomed surprise. Wish they’d get their sign repaired though, as it’s hard to find this place… Nice staff as well.

Great place to go to if you want to just chill and have a smoke. Service can be here or there depending on which person you get. The hookahs are also hit or miss, sometimes being great and sometimes just not being made so well. Food here is really good. They have great nachos, chips and guacamole, kabob salads, and solid mint tea! Probably one of my favorite hookah spots to go to and the only reason I’m not giving them a 5 is because of how long the servers take sometimes as if they forgot you were there!

Kind of addicted, I loves me a dirty chai! Jun is one of the nicest people I’ve met and really gets to know his customers. Love how this place has no sign and can easily be passed up of you’re not looking out for it. The food menu is extensive and can be a bit pricey but I’ve been satisfied with the breakfast panini and breakfast burrito. See you there in the morning!

The Spot is a comfortable neighborhood place to spend time with people or with my computer and drink terrific coffee and eat homemade yummy food. There is always parking on the side street. The staff is friendly and helpful. The coffee is strong and they have 3 choices of brew. I enjoy the salads and the breakfast burrito very much. The food is fresh and healthy and tasty. They make whatever changes you want. The back room is used for groups or clubs such as AA meetings or a Comedy group meeting. I always feel welcome even if I stay there for hours on my computer or talking with a friend. The Spot is the spot to be!

I love this place! If you’re looking for a relaxing place to unwind or even go do your homework, this is it! I love how quaint and hidden it is. I always passed by this place on my way to school and finally managed to give it a visit. Food isn’t that great I must say, sorry :(but their drinks are pretty good.

This is such a cute place to grab a cup of joe and hang out on the couch with your pals. I ordered the tiger spiced chai latte — YUM! The drinks were brought to us, which I thought was a really nice, make me feel like I’m part of the neighborhood sort of touch. The chai was delish! The service was super friendly and prompt. The location might be hard to find if you’re not on the look out. The do have a few tables outside in the front and parking in the rear. It definitely has an interesting vibe to it. The couches are a little beyond beat up for my personal taste. I think they could use a face lift. Overall, great place to grab some caffeine without having to pay the Starbucks price tag!

**GO-TOPLACEFORPANINISANDBETTYSHAKESINCULVERCITY** PARKING ======== Back lot and street. AMBIANCE ========= Hidden and lovely. Rustic chic, homey feel. Nice layout inside with chairs, tables, and a sofa here and there. FOOD ===== SPICYTURKEYPANINI You need the Sriracha sauce on this sandwich. RATING: 4⁄5 BEVERAGE ========= CAPPUCINO Strong, good cup. RATING: 4⁄5 BETTYSHAKE(custom shake for me) I asked them to name this shake after me(not kidding). Ask for it and describe it as below: «Banana, peanut butter, milk, and a dab of chocolate.» Ideal and delicious, of course. RATING: 5⁄5 OVERALL ======== Super friendly people. Reasonably-priced. Not crazy hectic like downtown Culver City. Customers are quiet(yes). I can be loud here and no one cares. :) My go-to secret getaway from the daily grind at work. RECOMMEND for quiet time, solid paninis, and good coffee.

Why didn’t I discover this place sooner?! Oh I know why… because it’s hidden! I went to this cozy little place just last week. I loved their bookshelf section and all the seating they had readily available. I also loved how their front door made a creaking noise every time someone would come in. It’s a weird thing to like, I know. But it just made the overall experience feel very comfy. The service here was awesome. When I entered, a nice young man at the register was all cheery asking how my day was going. I ended up ordering their coffee of the day as well as an onion bagel with cream cheese. The coffee wasn’t great. I would recommend getting the Groundworks coffee they serve which costs the same amount. The one they served was a hazelnut flavored one and it was very strong. The bagel was toasted to perfection and tasted amazing to my surprise. I really enjoyed just sitting here and reading. I will definitely return!

I liked that this place had free wifi, plenty of seating and a parking lot in the back. I’ll admit this place was a pain in my buttocks to get to though. I passed it completely on the busy and bustling washington blvd and discovered that the street didn’t allow for a u-turn which turned into a huge circle around lindberg park. Once back en route I couldn’t turn left onto the street with the parking lot due to a rush of oncoming traffic… but after a 10 minute back and forth loop I made it. Take it from me and slow down when looking for this spot. I ordered the ready made black iced tea and added sweetener. It was delicious. The wifi wasn’t spectacular and everything took a while to load. There were plenty of outlets and seating but I thought the place was a bit dirty. My table was wet and everything felt a little sticky. I doubt I’ll return to this location but the staff was nice and I had an overall good experience.

Spot café & Lounge is located right on the big street of Overland, which sucks because you can miss this place if you’re going 30 mph(I know I did…) Parking situation? There is parking in the back, however, I have no idea how do you get there. Parking is available on the side street. Be careful where you park. Read them signs and don’t get a ticket. One side can be street sweeping day and the other might be permits only. Blah Seats? There are round tables and a couch with a coffee table for seating and if you head all the way to the back where the restroom is, you’ll see an additional room, which I believe they use it as a show room? Apparently they have live performance or special speakers for their event days. Food & Drinks? They do serve food such as sandwiches, wraps and salad. Coffee & tea as for drinks. Also they do have a board that states each day’s specials. You can sub your milk with soy, however, make sure you see them poor soy, because I asked for soy and they asked me again if I wanted soy just to make sure but when I looked over as they poured it into the cup, it was whole milk. :(I was hoping it wasn’t whole milk when I saw the guy pouring it… smart me, was in a hurry and didn’t get to try a sip before leaving the shop and ended up with whole milk chai, yucks. Quiet place to study? A place filled with High school kids if you end up coming here on a weekday and after 3pm… yeah, don’t think so. More like a place to grab it to go than sticking around for loud teens gossiping, though they do have free wifi and outlets.
