These guys are the best! I brought in my laptop to see why it wasn’t turning on and the employee working, Brandon, was super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Not only that, he made us laugh too. Funny, fast, awesome service! I just picked up a new power cable for my laptop today, and I wasn’t charged for it! Brandon even helped me get more storage on my phone. Brandon is the best, and these guys are my new go-​to for all my mac malfunctions. Thanks!

Do not take your machine here, better take it to the Apple Store. These people Sabotage your computer, purposely tamper with it. This is what happened to me. Someone purposely ruined my computer so as to add an extra charge. They completely destroyed my computer on purpose! This also happened to a college of mine there, their computer was also tampered with and ruined. This company is EXTREMELY untrustworthy and dishonest. I will never go to Melrose Mac again. DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE. 100% dishonest!

I really don’t ever want to go back to the MAC store in Culver City I came in with my g5 for new systems waited for days took it home still no system on computer so boarded bag but I paid $ 75 then I returned it back for another 4 days because they never did upload the new system left a message to the store manager to speak to the owner they never returned my call I’m still wondering what kind of business the you are registered running over there and it seems like they tell you anything to get you out of there face I’m of 66 year old black male they were not friendly at all

Getting a broken computer fixed is super stressful and the cost can really set you back. It’s so important to have a team of people working at the facility that are kind and generous with their time. I had a trillion questions and the team took time to walk me through every question and situation that I was concerned about.
Great team. And VERY reasonable pricing.

My company used melrose Mac for IT solution for networking my mac’s. Didn’t upsell me, an amazing tech came out and a amazing team came out and also offered me other solutions that I was asking for considering to do more work with them can’t give them less than five stars. melrose Mac really knocked it out of the park and I’ve used both locations

If I could give these guys no star at all, I would do so. I am astounded at their complete nonchalance when they did absolutely NOTHING to service, download data and install an SSD. Simple right? I expressed my need, from the beginning to have this work done quickly. Dropped on a Saturday, they neglected to tell me their «days» of service or an estimate of hours. Which apparently is 48 hours in case you need to know these things. And if one of their «techs» calls in sick, well you’re SOL. Then if you call for an update, two days later, you are blatantly lied to as the status of your computer. «Oh…uh…we’re doing the download now. uh… and don’t know how long that will take. uh can’t tell you when.» I go by the same day and my computer is still in the quay, which means they’ve done nothing.
No apology, no reason… just good olé’ snotty LA arrogance. Go somewhere else if you know what’s good for you.

I am writing this review for one reason and one reason only — to thank Trevor C. for helping out when I brought my phone in for repairs. Although it is too early to see what the repair looks like, his knowledge of the repair process and policy saved me a few hundred dollars. I will wait to see how the service plays out before I leave a final review., But thank you Trevor.

This review is only for Melrose Mac’s authorized AppleCare Service.
On August 11^th, I brought my MacBook Pro to Melrose Mac on the advice of an Apple Service Advisor who indicated that the next available appointment at the Apple Store was in 5 days. He told me I could take it into Melrose Mac the same day since Melrose Mac is an authorized Apple repair center.
Once I arrived at the store, I handed my MacBook to the front desk. The gentleman who helped was very nice and said it wasn’t too busy, that I was the 5^th in line, and they should be able to get to it soon. I felt confident it would be handled expediently.
Well, after not hearing back, I decided to call Melrose Mac on Thursday, two days after dropping off my computer. The Melrose Mac rep indicated he would «try» to get out in the mail today but that it might be too late.
Sure enough, the computer didn’t make the mail so I called Apple on Monday the 17^th. Apple informed me they just received the computer– that is 6 days after bringing it to Melrose Mac. Oh, and still never a call, email, or update from Melrose Mac.
I continued to call Apple until finally my computer was shipped out to Melrose Mac. Finally, Melrose Mac called me for the first time – 13 days after I dropped off my computer, to tell me it was ready. When I went to pickup the computer, the service clerk was not too friendly but then again I didn’t want to have a conversation either. He did his job and retrieved my computer. So after 13 long days, I am back with computer in hand.
My advice for those needing an AppleCare repair, just find an Apple store with less of a wait and drop off your computer there – not at Melrose Mac in Culver City.

This review is long overdue. They are very helpful and nice at this place. It’s not like they are trying to rip you off or sell you something you don’t need. They are knowledgeable and helped me with some laptop questions.

So I’ve always been big on supporting local businesses. If Melrose Mac and the Apple store have the exact same things at the exact same prices, why not give that money to your fellow hoomans instead of a giant corporation?!
That’s not to say that the service I get at Apple isn’t good. It’s purely about the supporting local business factor.
Melrose Mac also isn’t packed to the gils like an Apple store is!

I just picked up my mac book pro from the Culver City location and spoke with Josh. He is normally at the Melrose location but was helping in the Culver store today. He was extremely knowledgable and helpful! Everyone at Melrose Mac was great! Thank you!

The world was about ready to end for my two kids when their computer stopped connecting to the internet… oh no, no more video games!!! My husband normally deals with all the computer stuff, but the kids and I decided to take a stroll down to Melrose Mac to see if they could offer us any tips. Chris and Austin were ready and willing to help us out. They were able to look at my computer and within a matter of 20 minutes or so, resolve the problem. Thrilled, I called my husband and told him we’re good to go re: the internet and he said «yeah, they’re really great there… that’s why we have been going there since they opened…»
Really nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Soo much better than going to the Apple Store where is jam packed with a super long wait. Thanks again Chris and Austin, we will be back again for sure!!!

I’m giving two stars for the service I first got when I walked in. It was great. But the service after I left was very disappointing. I left my phone here and was told that it would be five days until I got it back but apparently my phone was sent back to them and I was never informed that my phone was sitting there and I wasn’t informed. It’s been two weeks without my phone and I had to call this morning to find out that my phone has just been sitting there. I really think customer service should be improved.

Excellent service. Went in with kids electronics (old laptop and iPad). Austin was very helpful by delineating all the needs/​costs of the old laptop. Grateful there was no charge for the quick but important consultation. Also very patient with my crazy 12mos old crawling all over the store!

First of all, I just want to say that the «geniuses» at Apple’s Genius Bars are a joke. I am a working professional who lives and dies by my MacBook Pro. I know a lot about techie information, but not enough to resolve when my computer crashes 10 times in a row within 30 minutes. So off to the Apple Store I go…
In a nutshell, the Apple Store wanted to wipe my entire computer hard drive with all 500GB of info on it and have me manually reinstall each and every file back into my laptop. I have NO time to do such a thing. So instead, they reinstalled my operating system, which made my computer crash even more!
Out of desperation, I sought out other Mac techs to fix my computer. Enter Melrose Mac. Marcelino took my computer in on a Saturday, had the issue diagnosed in 30 minutes, and my computer was ready for pickup on Monday. ALL data was kept in tact and ALL elements of my computer are running smoothly now. For $ 100 (I paid extra for a rush diagnostic), I now have peace of mind that the Apple Store would’ve never given me.
Thank you Melrose Mac — you have a newly devoted customer now! (And to the «geniuses» at the Apple Store, may I suggest you spare people panic attacks and work at Starbucks instead!)

I had an issue with my Mac. I took it to the Apple store and they told me that I am going to lose all my data however they told me that I might have a chance if I go to Melrose Mac.
Long story short, I ended up in Melrose Mac in main street. A decent guy named Diamond helped me. He was awesome. He took care of everything and he did not even charged me for what he did. He told me that there is no problem with your computer at all. There was only a crash due to lots of data. That’s it.
Honestly, I don’t know anything about computers. I can only turn them on and off. He could have charged me like 200 – 300 $ (This is what Apple store has estimated) but he was so honest that after almost an hour work on my Mac, he said there is no charge for that.
Diamond is the best…

When the so called «Geniuses» Apple Store couldn’t figure out how to fix my data problem, the folks at Melrose Mac were able to figure out the issue and recover my data. Every single picture, document and music file was recovered without a hitch. I may start going here instead of the Apple store from now on.

I left my charging cord there. I called the next day. They asked me who helped me out and confirmed immediately that I had left my cord there. Other places would «lose» the cord or keep it for themselves.
I can’t speak to crazy technical issues. I can’t speak to other issues that Apple products may need help with.
But I can attest that these guys are good communicators.

I came here to swap a broken Iphone for a new one. It was amazingly quick and easy. The guys helping out were very helpful and knowledgeable. I am so happy I came here!
I started at a phone repair shop and they quoted me $ 180 at a minimum up to $ 325 since the damage was a little more extensive than just the glass and when the phone came back they couldn’t guarantee it and it probably wouldn’t look perfect… and they had great Unilocal reviews.
In the back of my head I remembered someone else saying you could swap, so I drove to Culver City to Melrose Mac walked in and they said they could swap it right there for $ 269 out the door! This just made the most sense for the money, time, and quality!
