MAC Cosmetics

I went in today for a some recommendations on a new foundation so I figured MAC would be a good option. When I arrived here, I stood around the foundation area for about 10 to 15 minutes. All that time I was standing, there were employees passing by, no one even greeted me and I’m sure they saw me standing there which made me really question if they valued their customers but I stuck it out because I really did need assistance and my makeup. After that period of time a young lady approached me and asked if I needed help, I explained to her I needed a new foundation something matte and wouldn’t make my skin blotchy. So she helped me, we found a color to match my skin tone so it was all good. She then asked me if I wanted a pump for the foundation and l said yes because without a pump I feel as if too much product spills onto my brush and I really don’t need it so a pump for me would just make it last longer and is less messy. After that we proceeded to a setting powder to match my foundation and also a eyeshadow primer. I was pleased with my buys but I realized when I got home that she hadn’t gave me the pump that I asked for and I’m really disappointed about that because first of all she offered it to me so how can you forget about something you asked if I wanted? My experience at this MAC is one I hope I never encounter again at any other location but for this one in particular I don’t think I’ll be returning. They should practice customer service skills a lot more and try to be more involved with the customers so they have a way better experience than I did.

I stood at the lipstick counter for about 15 minutes, clearly confused, and clearly looking around for help while 3 women at the register stood around laughing. I had to walk up to them and ask for some help in which one girl came & asked had I checked the drawers below the display for the colors I was looking for. I said I hadn’t thought of opening the drawers because I figured they wouldn’t want me rummaging through their inventory and she said yeah you’re not supposed to touch it. Um, so why did you suggest it? Ridiculous. The ladies at Sephora are whole other caliber of amazing. MAC and Macy’s clearly don’t care for customer service.

Had a great experience! I usually have had bad experiences in the past at other MAC stores. I even had 2 girls trying to help me find my shade for the studio fix foundation.

I’ve used Mac Cosmetics for 16 years. I’m familiar with their business and standards. This MAC counter at a Macy’s department store is messy and the customer service is really bad. I only go here if I know exactly what I’m looking for.

Of course the brand is one of the best, however! I went yesterday with my family to find some lip color for my niece and no lie we were there for 30 minutes trying things on. Not one of the staff asked us if we needed anything (NOT ONE) my sister said to one of the girls, she couldn’t believe she’s been there for now 40 minutes and hasn’t been acknowledged once. The young lady replied very pleasant and said «I didn’t know if you were waiting for someone or what. Uuuhhhhmmmmm that’s why you ask it’s called (customer service) After that she told one of the staff and they wouldn’t let us breath lol. At that point we’ve figured out what we wanted we didn’t need any assistance anymore. Only to go grab the color of our choice. I usually only go to the actual store. I missed out on the Vamplify but I did get a nice luster glass (Decorative) and a blush (A little lusty). The girls were still nice and sweet maybe they were just off their game a little

I totally felt like I was an inconvenience and received the worst customer service I have ever received at a MAC counter. I wanted to get in and out fast, but instead I was passed on from one artist to the next while both helped others when I was clearly there first. I purposely came in first thing in the morning to avoid crowds but that back fired. I understand they are busy but I was just looking for some quick color matches and thought it was totally rude to go from customer to customer. Why not just finish with one then move on? I came in to buy multiple products but left with just one because I couldn’t wait to get out of there!

The WORST! The girls that work here are not willing to do their job description SALES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! They look down on customers as if they are above them. Every single one of the associates there is so unwilling to assist. NEWSFLASH that’s what you guys got hired for! If you don’t want to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE seek employment elsewhere. MAC cosmetics needs to check every single girl in this counter hire NEW staff!!!

Valerie, the store manager at Mac is an amazing person. My very first visit to the store I met Valerie she recommended that I try this mineralizing glass gloss that I fell in love with then she recommended that I try a certain style lash strip that looks amazing. She has excellent customer service skills. While applying my lashes she always greeted and welcomed every customer. She’s very passionate and talented about makeup and I its a pleasure doing business and even being blessed with her presence

Why is it that every associate in this particular store is so beautiful but SO RUDE ! Went there to ask for a specific liquid foundation with a primer that was online, I had to HUNT down an associate to ask for the merchandise just so she can look at me with a disgusted look and blankly say ‘We don’t have it’. No make up in the world can ever alter their twisted and nasty customer service!
*Sephora in the Fox Hills mall doesn’t have what MAC offers but the ladies are amazing so I will return back to them ANY DAY!

Customer service is always really bad. The waiting time to simply pick up an eyeliner is ridiculous and most of the employees are really bad with scoping out what customer arrived first. I only come here if I really have to.

Great product! Not enough courteous customer service reps. It feels like machine factory.

This MAC needs a serious «Bar Rescue» when it comes to customer service! Every associate may have a «beat» face but it’s normally accompanied with a beat attitude! Even the senior citizen associate is a bitter biddy. I like the Pro Store on Robertson, MAC at Nordstrom, the Macy’s at Del Amo, or the adjacent MAC Store in the mall.

The worst Mac in SoCal!

I only come to this specific MAC because it’s convenient. I’ve passed on leaving a review before bcus I honestly have nothing nice to say but after today’s experience– they deserve the low rating.
The make-​up artist/​sales employee’s pay absolutely no mind at all. They see you standing there clearly waiting for assistance and they just pass up on you.
If you know exactly what you wants I guess but if you’re looking for guidance this is not the place
Poor customer service= bad review.

The fact that their lipstick display case was a total mess, just made me not want to shop there, gross!

I walked in the day after New Years, and asked to put my name on the make up list
and Marissa helped show me how to apply eye make up for my new years resolution to «have a more professional look». She is very nice and hygenic in her preperation of make up for the client. To me that is super important! She helped me pick from a multitide of colors for eyes, and lip colors to match my skin tone and preference, (I prefer a very nude look) and it turned out great ! I will be back for sure.

Just had the worst experience at this store. Passed up several times for service. Usually buy my sister MAC for Christmas and spend a few hundred bucks. Possibly never again this year the associates have been extremely unfriendly — what happened to the great employees MAC used to hire. Great products horrible experience

I won’t be shopping at MAC Cosmetics anymore. I made the mistake of purchasing a MAC product at another location across town in LA, and when I got home I realized that they had pulled the wrong shade of foundation from the back. It was my bad for not double checking. I brought the product to the MAC store at the Fox Hills mall that’s close by, rather than driving for an hour to get to the one where I originally purchased it. The woman behind the counter told me flatly that you cannot return MAC products to different MAC stores, regardless of whether or not you have a receipt. She did not even try to be helpful or nice.
Sephora is awesome, easy returns, anywhere!

The ladies that work here are too busy gossiping to give good customer service. And when you do ask them a question or interrupt, they act like you’ve committed the worst crime against humanity. Get over yourselves and do your job. Do yourself a favor and go to Sephora and receive decent service and products.

I just had the best makeup experience here this past Thursday! I came in to get makeup done for my jobs Christmas party and was very pleased overall.
I went in with my coworker and we were assisted by Allegra and Camille. They were both very sweet. Mac doesn’t accept appointments during the week so I was really hoping they were going to be able to start on the both us at the at the same time right away and they did. I loved getting dolled up and Allegra knew exactly what she was doing.
She was very polite and friendly. Even when she was doing my makeup their were customers looking around and I heard her say «someone will be with you is just a moment» and it was that simple acknowledgment that makes service go a long way. Camille did a great job on my coworkers makeup as well. She stopped to help a few customers but still was quick and finished the job very well. I was more than pleased with the colors and products that Allegra used on my face and so was my coworker.
I will definitely return here for my makeup needs in the future and ask for Allegra, she was great!
